I am amazed you made the dress despite fabric possibly snagging or ruining the design of the strawberries because of the loose threads. Im not criticizing you whatsoever on your work because it is amazing but I would like to offer a helpful suggestion to anybody else who will be working on fabric like this to make the Marie Antoinette strawberry dress is to make sure everything is fully hemmed and lined because you really dont wanna ruin a fabric that pretty and that expensive. I love how you showed how you hemmed the skirt with silk taffeta which is a really smart way to do a historical hemming method on these types of gowns especially on fabrics like this. Thanks for sharing all the details of your amazing journey for this stunning ensemble 🍓
I’m kind of obsessed with the pink house dress you’re wearing as you’re working on the dress, and I love the gold one too. Did you make those?? If not, where can we get them?? ♥️
Those are from linennaive.com - you can use code Sewstine for 10% off. :) thank you!
@@Sewstine Thank you so much! ♥️
That was my favorite dress from the movie. I could n do watch that movie over n over just recentlly rewatched it.
Good golly that’s just gorgeous! I think I would have had a mini- heart attack cutting such expensive fabric! 😂
This is just spectacular, what a triumph in every detail!
You look like a delicate doll in that dress! It's a very charming look on you - so much dress on such a petite frame.
(And that fabric really does look like a nightmare to work with; I would have wrecked it completely, I'm sure.)
it looks INCREDIBLE!! thank you so much for sharing this process, what an amazing dress 😍
Thank you so much Tash!
