Great job getting through all that to get to notch point especially towing the big Bertha, quite tricky avoiding the tree branches and reversing it at the same time, and an awesome spot at the end of it all.
Great video. Hope you have more of Notch Point to share. We visited last September with friends but cut our stay a couple of days short because of extreme wind. The track was very similar, but we only had about 3 water puddles. Our camp was on the northern end close to the bollards. We tied the awning off to the bollards which helped a lot in the wind, but packing the awning away in the wind was extreme.
Cheers for the vid on the way into Notch point. Most of the time videos are only ever at the end of the track and I've wondered what it's like after rain. We missed our chance staying there with our van on our return when we chickened out after some rain.
Love the videos of you guy’s 👍🏾👍🏾 the track into Notch Point gets like that when it rain and high tide 👍🏾👍🏾 but i love that place , it’s my go to place for relaxing , enjoy your travels be safe and love to you all 👍🏾👍🏾
Hi guys . We love watching you and your travels. You're just so real. We went into Notch Point last year with our brand new van. We now have pin stripes to remind us of what a fantastic trip it was. It was defintely tight in spots and we only had a 19ft van. The track around the hill was very badly rutted. .but we didn't have the amount of water you guys had. But the best free camp ever. Enjoy 😊
We’re planning to go, kinda glad I watched this first. Our trailer is much smaller than yours so fingers crossed we’re okay. Looks like a top spot though!
We came into Notch Point yesterday, the day you released the episode. The water in the bog holes has subsided some but it was still a challenge. We continued around the headland on the off camber/ sloping track, across the concrete slab and down the drop off. It was a bit hairy even with our offroad van; and then we saw the track you eventually took to the point. We will definitely use it on the way out. It was great watching someone else do it. Well done guys.
I was there 8 weeks ago and it was just as knarly , just remember give car and caravan a good wash when you get out as some of those water crossings are salt water 💦 great video guys 👍
Hi there, Now or Never, i have just come across your utube channel and must complement you both on your great presentation and commentary on your videos. They are extremely informative and great videos. I myself am a Mackay local and feel that going into Notch Point in the wet season is not the thing to do as this is what is destroying the road in. And i can't understand why everyone wants to go over the hill. Yes, it is a lovely beach with excellent camping sites, but it gets so windy. The camping area on the approach side to the hill is just as nice with great camping sites and protected from the wind. Keep up the excellent videos with your great commentary. Awaiting your next video.!!! Cheers, Kevin.!!!😊
Hi from New Zealand .Another very good show with great scenery and 4wd skills. I also have a PX2 ford ranger and I love it. Would you consider doing a show on advice on what to look out for, advice on buying a good second hand caravan. Keep up the great shows. Thanks Jono P
I dont know why, but I start to panic when we have to go through water. It must be when bogged at Butterfly Gorge without a winch and no one else around to help.
Anyone can tow but only a few can reverse with skill , and reverseo man does it again with style lol 😝 The load sharing Simplicity suspension gets ya out of that boggy bit well 👍 Dogs and cow-shite hahaha don’t Pat the puppy until ya check the fur ! Ya know what sticks to fur. Hahahaha
Yes, but its a very debatable topic as to what is considered “off road” Ours has a 6 inch chassis, high clearance and simplicity axles suspension with lots of travel so it handles tacks like this well 👍🏻
@@nowornever_aus Hey thanks for the fast reply! I love seeing non “off road” vans go off road like this. We have a 98 Golf Cruiser that is not off road. We haven’t taken it on any tracks like that but your van looks to be much higher than ours and I have no idea what suspension we have but the chassis is nice and thick 👏🏼😎
Great job getting through all that to get to notch point especially towing the big Bertha, quite tricky avoiding the tree branches and reversing it at the same time, and an awesome spot at the end of it all.
Yes it is a stunning location!
Thanks 🙌🏼

No worries!
well worth the effort guys one of the best free camps I've been to can be sketchy to get in but worth it
Agreed!
Yes, been about 4 times, it’s always bad, not as much water usually, but always a couple of water crossing,
Thank you 👍🏻
Better to be known as good toer than something else awesome video
🙌🏼
Another great video, such a lovely family. Love how you take Bertha through it all. Good work. Have a great week 👏
Thank you! Thats the best thing about Bertha! We aren’t too precious about getting her all scratched up!
Thanks again from one of my fave family vloggers :)
Thanks mate!! 😁
Good job guys great spot
Thanks!
If the door open chime annoys you, you could remove the steering wheel cowling and disconnect a wire to the ignition switch…..bliss!
Have never paid much attention to it, until now that you’ve pointed it out! 😂

Thanks mate! So glad we made our way out there!
We love notch point, been there a couple of times but it was much more easier to get in! Great vid!
Such a good spot!

Some call them pinstripes, we call them memory stripes! 😁
All worth it!

It is but so worth it!
Wow that spot when you put the drone up at the end and zoomed out….paradise after a hell entry 😂
Well worth it!
I grew up down there. Such a beautiful place!
It sure is beautiful!
Erin, you have better nerves than me on the rough tracks and water hazards than me!! Your end destination to set up looks all worth the effort.
Haha thank you ☺️ maybe it comes across better on camera cos inside I am crapping myself 😂

Good work making it around that way!
Well done navigating the track. Enjoy the beers. You have earned it.👍
Cheers!

Impressed you got there with that van! I have a 22ft and did a reckey with the 4x4 only and decided not to take the van in, well done 👍
Thank you! It’s not for everyone!
We camped there 2 years ago and went the same way you did , the track was the same , watch the wind it gets up there..
Thanks, yes pretty windy there!
Beautiful spot!
Great team navigating the track. Well driven!
Thanks so much!

Thank you mate!
Yes I do think next time we will camp this side of the hill and put the boat in the creek 👍🏻
Cheers!
Another beaut vid. Great job reversing 😊
Thank you!
Great vid, we did it last year no water on the way in but the track over the hill looks exactly the same as we did
👍🏻😁
Great video guys and I'm a local it is always pretty bad through there that's y they recommend 4wds only
Cheers mate!

Thanks Jono! There will be some more van content coming so I’m sure we could add that in!
Nice job getting in there. Even better job reversing the van. Maybe you should be an instructor😜
Haha thanks!
Great video. Love your travels.
Thank you!
Nice driving Alex! Looks like a lovely spot, did you get the boat off?
Thank you! Unfortunately not because the wind was howling!
I dont know why, but I start to panic when we have to go through water. It must be when bogged at Butterfly Gorge without a winch and no one else around to help.
It can be daunting!

Noice Vid... One Day.....
👍🏻
Geez thats a pretty mint free camp. How long can you stay there before you get moved on?
As far as I know there is no time limit 👍🏻
Great spot and that’s the worst I’ve ever seen it. The area has had lots of rain all year so normally not like that
It is great hey!
Hi guys, hey are you sure that’s not a golf course where you camped?
100% 👍🏻
Sorry if this is a dumb question but is your van off road?
Yes, but its a very debatable topic as to what is considered “off road”

Slow episode here guys. 20 minutes before you have a beer!
Not wrong!
You can have the muddy and rutted tracks all to yourself, not for this little black duck.
😂 fair enough!
Hey are these old vids guys, cause last time u had yr hair all cut of but yr latest vids r still with yr long hair 😅
Yeah this was just after new years just gone, few more eps and we’ll be back to short hair 😁
