- 50 yard shot on a beautiful Pennsylvania buck. I was hunting in NY and Nick was in the PA big woods. Early December and the mountain bucks were still chasing does. Thankfully we had a crew to drag it out. ENJOY!

Fun fact: White-tailed deer have 32 teeth, but they don't have any upper teeth in the front. Instead, they have a hard palate with a rough texture that helps them grind food. Thanks for watching everybody!

I’m in northwest pa. And you have to remember our bucks are getting bigger because of the antler restriction in my opinion. I got my biggest buck two years ago with my bow. He’s actually in my profile picture. But with that being said, they are not easy to get either way, because we have Thousands of acres.. but hopefully it keeps improving . Awesome PA mountain buck! Been hunting the same general area since 1988 and the antler restrictions are really beginning to payoff. In the future you might want to consider quartering the deer and packing it out. I know what it is like to shoot deer on those steep hillsides and quartering is a game changer.

Reminded me of old days when my father who passed away 16 years ago …. Back in late 80’s to mid 90’s … my dad had a spot he used sit every rifle season steep gas pipeline he used shoot deer 200+ yards down at bottom of pipeline both side of mountain was steep steep steep! either way he had me my brother drag his deer out it was always UPHILL !!! Some years my brother and I used flip coin who had go drag first deer out for the ol’man

Fast forward today my brother no longer hunts … I still hunt my 3 kids hunt as well , and some days I have seconds thought if I really want shoot this deer or not ? Nah ! It gets a pass because I don’t feel like dragging one out of the area …. I still run/train/work with beagles and rabbit hunting I’ll probably do that till the day I die … I wish you and your gang a successful season this year

New York's take last year was down 17%. Luckily I dropped my biggest doe ever on opening day. They're all over the place now. It's going to be a banner year methinks this season. Ahhh...just two more months and I'll be out there in the deer woods with my bow. Can't wait.

@Outdoors Allie you need to make more mushroom videos...they are a important food source for the future. I'm here in central Pennsylvania and we find the good eating mushrooms. Unfortunately, this year has been a bit dry but we are still finding a few goodies.

Deer only have front teeth on the bottom, & molars in back. You can tell deer vs rabbit in your garden, not only by tracks, but by how the stems are ripped off by deer, vs sliced off by rabbits sharp teeth, as if a scissors cut them off.
Deer browse will always be torn off rather than cut clean.
