We have seen the mobile home business come such a long way. In the old days most people referred to mobile homes as a trailer house. However some of the manufactured homes we carry are far from “trailer houses.”

My thoughts exactly! My son let out about a year or two that he wasn't sure what he would do with me if my husband, his stepfather died before me. He knows it isn't particularly a good idea for me to live alone. Also nice if the seniors can have a good relationship with the kiddos, even helping with homework.

I did that. Not manufactured house, though. It worked beautifully. We were side by side for thirteen years. They had their privacy and I had mine. But when they got sick we were so close that at night I slept in my own place with a baby monitor in my room and the other end in their side. Being side by side they could just call out when I was needed. Neither one ever had to go to a nursing home. Thank you Lord!

I would like to see 2 or three stacked, and have 4 studios per level or 6 real small ones. Or just three 3 story townhouses. Imagine how much denser the old and new parks could be. Especially in california. Allowing three story condo mobile homes in the old parks. Hopefully the people could own the land in New developments. Three to 10 times the density.

What an awesome idea! I love the concept. Just having family that close would be amazing for elderly parents and their child and their family! Apart yet close.
I would have my daughter live next to us.
I like the 2 bedroom better than the three as well.
I personally like the homes with the separate apartment inside the main home. I like having access to all four sides of the house.
But this is such an amazing idea. You could live in one side and rent out the other and have help with the mortgage. Open up a park and have several of these homes and basically rent twice for the same house! Or it would be good for cranky old couples who've been married forever, can't stand each other anymore but want to have each other close to be sure they're safe!😂
If they designed them so I could have access to all sides of the house, I'd be totally in love!
    Thanks for sharing this Chance!

Chance I think when the salesperson was talking about splitting down the middle, He may have been thinking like a condo. Each own their own side. But they share a common wall. So they would get their own serial ( HUD Tag) number and when it is placed on a piece of land they would have their own Tax ID. Then in the future one owner can sell their half of the home. I hope that makes sense.

Hey Chance! I actually love this idea! That price, if it's for Both duplexes and not for Each duplex, is great! I told my husband this is what we need - combine the two houses by putting a door inside connecting them and make one side as mine and one side as his. We'd share a Living Room, Kitchen, Dining Room, Master Bedroom and Bathroom, and the Utility Room. We'd make the Utility Room bigger so we could have the Furnace and Water Heater and an Upright Freezer in it. We'd build a Garage outside the back doors with a Big Pantry and Pet Shower. Of course the rest of the place would be redone for us - a big Master Bathroom and Bedroom, then one side have a Gym and the other a Library, soundproofed Music/Studio Room, and an Office Room. There'd be a half bath in the side that doesn't have the Master in it. If room, once our rooms are done, we'd have an extra bedroom and bath for guest; but I really don't think there'd be room! We'd remove the middle wall out on the porch and have one big front porch! Probably have the porch go around both sides of the duplex for a ways at least. Both our parents are gone and we don't have children, but this would be a perfect set up for that kind of thing too!
Good video Chance! God bless you and your family!

I like this duplex plan than the other one from four years ago before the lockdowns. That one had garages but the floor space was tight. The one you showed here is more spacious and livable. I definitely liked the colors/choices in the 2br better...I would also probably do a stackable washer and dryer so you have room for a freezer to store extra food. This would be perfect for me and my 80's 80-year-old elder mom. I'm a caregiver for her and we are stuck living with her in the condo apt. This is what I dream of having her next to me. So I can check up on her daily. This way she can have her private as my own with my boys.

I'm wondering if they could do one split the short way so it doesn't need so much hall space and you aren't constantly walking 80 feet to get from the front to back. I guess it's good exercise.

I there were drawer over base cabinets there would be a much better kitchen. This is a very interesting concept. Basically both floor plans are pretty nice. I think I'd give the edge to the two bedroom as the bedrooms are bigger. I'm sorry I did not catch the sq. footage of each half. I would assume each half on the box would be 16x76?

It think it would be good to make some with the opening on opposite sides because some people want privacy and don’t want people to know when they’re going and coming. Not only that you may have neighbors that’s not So friendly, and not want to deal with everyone.

I really like this idea. It's good for families to be able to be close but separate. It's also a good idea if you can buy a few and rent them out for extra income. They're very nice quality.

Oh I wish they had this 10 years ago. My aging father could have been right next to me on the other side 😢. I like the 2 bedroom better roo Chance. In the NE we need a little bit more of a utility room due to the snow. Add a closet for coats boots etc
