Svalbard July 2023 Natural Sea Ice and Glacial Iceberg Sculptures

The arctic is melting rapidly. Here is an 8-minute look at the glaciers and polar pack ice before it completely disappears in summer. 80 degrees North latitude was the first spotting of the polar sea ice.
Calving of glacial faces into the sea is thrilling. Our group experienced one. The Poseidon Expedition Ship, Sea Spirit, had a photographer aboard, PIET VAN DEN BEMD along with others who filmed it from Zodiac dinghies used to take us to various places in the Svalbard Archipeligo.
