You're a very knowledgeable dude and easy to understand which is extremely uncommon to find on RUclips these days...looking forward to watching the rest of your vids.
This is my first time... I got a black NumarkM6 DJ mixer.... Two Audio Technica Lp-120 turntables that do have pre-amplifers built into them...I also have a pair of Klipsh R-15pm active speakers ... would that be a problem for connection/set-up? I have no recievers or Tube amps... need help here , thanks R.
Thank you 🙏 for the refresher course, on my VMX beringer 1000 , I have main 2 out put, just for testing purposes I hook up my DJ monitor speakers, with RCA, I tried connecting up the mixer with P.A karaoke system using aux don’t seem to work, i have to keep trying, it been why since used it 😂 it’s old system but it should work for getting sound out into speakers
I like your video, did a really good job explaining and showing all that... you made it so clear and simple and easy to learn for beginners like me. Thank you...
Usually a mixer will have two outputs. One you have running to your amp or stereo, with the other you just want to run an RCA to 1/8" stereo cable to the line in on your sound card. Then just use audacity or soundforge or whatever your favorite recording software is to capture the line in signal. You can use the same setup for broadcasting over the internet with ShoutCast or some similar service.
It dosen't matter which audio source (laptop, CD player, Tape Deck, etc) is on what channel fader. You can put them on whichever channel or input you wish. Just make sure you ONLY use Phono for a record player as I've said in the video. Enjoy!
I'm new to DJ-ing but yes, you would need to get vinyl for turntables. Or you could get CDJ's which are basically cd controlled turntables. Just plug them up to your mixer, insert the disc and there you go. Sorry for being late. :/
thanks soo much. im also new to this and learn a few things i didnt knew about my mixer specially how to work the headphones and the cue. thanks a lot.
Sometimes there is a "record" output on a mixer, other times there is a "monitor" output, sometimes both (sometimes neither). Look to see what you have. You could probibly get yourself a set of RCA (phono) stereo to mini stereo cable, run it into your LINE input of your sound card (if you have one), and use some kind of WAV recorder to record to. Usually, you'll choose an option called "What You Hear" to make this recording happen. Someone else probibly knows more about this than I.
I have a mtx 750 I was wondering if I can split the incoming sound say ch1 and then plug the split into ch 2 if I would get more power or what would happen.? And or if I'm able to put subs on one channel and tweeters on the other.
can you do a video on basic hook up using laptop, mixer and 2 amps, also speaker configuration. much thanks, stuff like which lines to use and how the speakers should be connected.
do you have video of how to hook up to reciever? I'm lost on this basic stuff to the mixer. I'm not getting a solid bass sound. just the tweeters are good. No speakers are not blown. this video though was really helpful
I just got a Numark professional mixer and has 2 CD trays. I tried hooking up the master output with red and white cables to my home receiver. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I am not getting sound. I’m a newbie! Ugggggg! Please help!!
I wanna scratch on my two Gemini 500 and mixer on to audacity perhaps to use in logic pro 9? Any idea? Can I rather record straight into logic? What do I need more for the hook up? Thanks n great vid.
Sorry guys one question! If I have to connect my mixer to a soundcard into Traktor, what are the connection? ! The sound card is a 20pounds berkmgher wich has 1 input and 1 output both RCA.The mixer is a Beringher pro mixer djx700 which has same connection ( all RCA) like this one in the video!
Very informative video! Thank you.. helped a lot. One question though... I'm using Virtual DJ with my pc hooked up to the mixer and stereo receiver. Can I use my actual mixer to control and mix from, say, deck 1 and deck 2 on my virtual dj?

How do you connect Numark Cd-Mix-2 Dual CD Player/Mixer to two powered speakers? I will be buying the EV ELX115P 15” Live X Two-way Powered Loudspeaker. Thank you Sam
I can't see the mixer too well in the picture I found, but it looks like your headphone input is just above that red fader to the far right of the mixer. You will either need to find some kind of headphone splitter or headphone preamplifier to run multiple headphones for your whole band.
ok,,,,, so i have ots/av pro on my laptop,, and i want to add a external mixer/midi controler to it, what ex mixer/controler will work with it and how do i set it all up...... please help!!!!!!!!!!!

depending on what you use to play music... if you can pan one channel left and one right you can run two mono channels into a mixer :)
I'm new to DJ-ing but yes, you would need to get vinyl for turntables. Or you could get CDJ's which are basically cd controlled turntables. Just plug them up to your mixer, insert the disc and there you go. Sorry for being late. :/
