Using clear on your bare nails helps make your dip powder last longer. It's also why you use clear after using colour. Protects the colour incase you need to file.
I'm so glad you're doing your own nails again. I work in the paint department of a major retailer and get compliments on my nails all the time. I send all the people interested to your channel, I've had a few customers come back and tell me they don't want to do press ons😂 Now they can see the dip process without having to search! ❤
:) Anything mystic mermaid sounds about right when its over a hundred degrees!!! This looks magical!!! What is it about blues & greens that give off the vibe??? Happy Thursday!!! ✌🏻
What dip liquids do you recommend, Marla? I’ve been using revel nail’s for a while but lately my nails haven’t been lasting more then 3 days. I want to try some new liquids before I totally just drop dipping. ❤❤
I love the azure dip liquids, but before you invest in new liquids, has anything else changed? Hormones, medications, environment? Prep still the same? Walk me through that
I am having trouble with my dip base/top coat brush hardening. I use the Beauty Secrets brand from Sally's. I wipe off excess activator, apply top coat, and then wipe off the brush between coats. Is it the brand? Or maybe I just need to buy extra brushes and discard them after use.
It could be a very finicky brand. But before you invest in different liquids, let’s see if we can trouble shoot this. When you’re doing your top coat, are you keeping the swipes to a minimum and moving relatively quick? You want to minimize the exposure as much as possible, so only 2-3 swipes and go kinda quick. Also, I find it less risky to “float” the top coat over the nail as opposed to applying pressure with the brush. Basically barely touch the brush to the nail. Then wipe off both sides of the brush on your paper towel before moving on.
I'd also suggest instead of just wiping off your brush after each coat, wipe it off before you return it to the bottle Every Single Time. No exceptions. That fixed the problem for me.
This is right up my alley 🎉 Love this ❤
Love love these! I love watching you do the press ons, but there is nothing like watching you do your nails!! 🥰🥰 These are beautiful Marla!!

nice thanks for sharing
What's the pink cushy file you're using? Sorry if I missed a link or mention
❤❤❤
💜💙
I always end up touching the brush to the glue. Maybe one of these days I’ll get it.
I love your semicolon. 😊
Thank you for doing this on shorter natural nails! ❤Looks pretty-ful. 😁
I thought activator goes on before filing?
It goes on twice. Once before filing and once before top coat 🩷
@@MarlaKris thank you I did not know.
What do you do about the smelll, Because It's all Poison.
There are low odor and/or odorless dip liquids that might be better for you. Or you can also use gel liquids for the dip process! 🩷
Revel makes a sensitive, low-odor dip liquids set that works well once you get the hang of it. I can’t use any other brand without getting dip flu.
