What insights are them? I have Insight 2 Lv1 Eternity, Bkornblume, Sotheby and only Insight 1 Sonetto and I can't seem to clear 4-21. Ideas are all Lv3 and Psychubes are Lv30, 20 and 20 (Hopscotch, and the other free 2 5star)
I assume that eventually I will need a healer, but so far, my most effective form of healing is removing the source of damage. Buff > Debuff > Tell Regulus to do blonde gremlin vtuber noises on the enemies
True but soon when you fight hard mode like for example those moth like enemies in chapter 4 they fcking stun the whole team and they hurt a lot I don't see anyone beating that without healer unless you are really high level that you can easily one shot those enemies

From what I heard, it's heavily story based and some parts are like a detective game or something? Not sure how true it was, but either way I won't have time for it even if I wanted to play. Four gachas are very time consuming.
Look, I remember having six in the past when I had two phones to play with. I had to quit them (FGO, Epic Seven) because they were just too slow for my taste and/or the gacha was too infuriating.
I only play 2-3 gacha (have 2 alts on one of them) and it's time-consuming enough. I don't really pick up new gachas unless i really like them due to the time investment required. Re1999 is pretty time consuming if you choose to read the story (and due to some hard stages), but you won't feel bored because the voice acting and auto speed will carry the VN unlike other gacha VNs. I've just resorted to split screen multitasking lol
So far, I haven’t really seen too much in the name of value for healers, unlike what you seem to suggest. Defensive utility tends to be important in strategy games, but it can take many other forms than just healing. For example, this game also has Shielding, damage reduction buffs, weakening debuffs, disarms, dazes, dodges, or just killing the enemies before they can kill you. All of these can work incredibly well due to the fact that the game also shows you enemy intent, as well as the fact that you can clear pretty much every encounter while being under invested (so far, the vast majority of encounters I’ve won I have done so while being about 5-10 levels under what the game recommends, and I imagine that like Arknights you could go much, much lower with more dedication).
@@yft2623i can agree, and you'll need a bunch of almost maxed out I2 if you want to "barely" stay alive even in the first stage of ord-9, and guess what, it removes 3 of your units after every clear, which means your 2 best units will go on a mimír for the next stage aka choose 3 new casters
For some reason I'm fine with the varying character skillset I've encountered except for confusion debuff. That shit is literally useless and might be bugged. Also the gimmick where you have to clear stages in xx rounds ultimately boils down to dps check on every faction which.. sucks for me. I like characters that do dps or mass dps but that's it. Dps turn check can go suck balls big time.

Healers? *scoffs* Imagine not focusing on DPS. *not me scrambling to get my Sonetto's card to 2* for the Disarm and using her Skill for DMG reduction while timing Centurion's Ult for her Weaken* To be fair though I haven't experienced any difficulties aside from Hard mode (I'm still at Chapter 3 tho) and a few of the farming stages that recommend Insight 2, without a healer. That said I did kinda reroll for the strongest character.

For my fellow Eternity players, try Eternity solo. Her I1 and I3 buffs both her damage *and* her healing, plus she's immune to bleed/poison/corrupt. Get her to 5 rounds and watch her go ham. With solo, you can get her ultimate up incredibly quickly since you only get her cards.
Can she solo every stage we have right now? Especially the stages that have "ORD" in their name. I forgot the full name of that mode, but it has story of other characters in it. And there's like 5 stages every level, until 10.
same... I definitely did not lose more than 10 times in a tutorial about some skills that deals more damage if the enemy HP is either below or above 50%... Definitely not... and If I did, it's not EN can't read moment..
Been pleasantly surprised by the game so far and I really don't care about turn based stuff. Probably gonna be playing it alongside arknights for a bit because the dailies seem real easy. Currently at that limited round level in act 2 and haven't leveled anyone yet so it's been a fun challenge
This gacha game is very hard too, just maxing out characters is not enough to win battles, even in boss fights and Hard mode levels. You actually need to strategize on what characters you need and what cards you should use. Forget Me Not and the boss after him really made the fights unfair because of this.
TBH unless you're gunning for a specific character, all of the standard banner characters are strong and the only one with significant problems is Lilya. Eternity, Centurion and Voyager are complete monsters, and the only powercreeping there is in CN so far is just with healers really
Same, but luckily I haven't been burnt out of turn based RPGs yet because I do genuinely still enjoy the genre The art style and voice acting carry it for me, and the story is written with short screenwritten scenes in mind and not a full blown chapter every stage like what other gachas try to do I wouldn't recommend it to someone who hates turn-based games or want something more to do, but this is a cozy, beautiful game that's easy to get into because literally every 6 star is cracked, bar that one specific Botan looking one idk xd
It's good but not amazing. I got regulus the character I really wanted. Too invested into other games for R1999 right now but during lull periods I can see myself picking up R1999 here and there.
Bkorn is such a strong character for a *5. She punch really hard and her debuffs synergies really well with a lot of unit. My only gripe with this game is that a majority of healers are on a higher rarity so at a certain point you will struggle just because Apple didn't heal enough.
I like this game for the lesbians. Shout out to Schneider for being the most thirsty for the mc out of all the characters. Special mention to Matilda, who becomes a gay disaster when it comes to Sonetto
I like the artwork and VA is not bad but damn, disappointing card game, very little choice, it is too simple. Pretty much got thru the first two chapters blind. The mechanics are mostly based on rng, so you can be screwed over if you don't get the cards you need, this could be said about any card game, but usually there are mechanics to tame it if you know how to construct your deck, here, forget about it. It is like they can't decide who their target audience should be, lore seems to be quite dark until you stumble upon characters that are absolutely clueless and cheerful, some swear words are censored but some are not, there is no reason or ryme for anything. Very strong opening and then the pacing drops off the cliff.
The English translation is very dissapointing. Problems with localization are very common with gacha but for a game that heavily marketed its EN voice acting and story, the fact that it's this bad is shocking to me. I heard that the original script was written in English which makes it more insane if true. Even the VAs sound confused reading the script sometimes. I hope they fix it but very doubtful since it's all fully voice acted. I can see a good story underneath but it is buried pretty deep in broken English.

You can still understand the overall message, it's just really awkward. Sometimes it's not a grammatical problem but weird phrasing like "It's a pity that the patrolmen could not be confirmed", you simply will not hear an actual English speaker talk like this. It's not just once or twice, it's everywhere in the script and the voice acting only draws attention to these mistakes.
What i like the most is its setting. The lobby bgm that giving an old feeling vibe makes me travel back in time. I can just look at the lobby and do nothing all day, Its a shame this is not mystery solving games too as i love that kind of type
The VA is kinda mid for me. Sometimes the intonation feels off and Sonetto's mic quality could've been better (note: I'm using English VA so results may differ). Its not bad, its just not great. ps. I think you pronounce the girl's name as Ceobe!
The JP VAs for some of them are a lot better imo. I think Eternity and Balloon Party are probably the ones I don't like that much voice-wise, but they sound great in JP.(Haven't checked KR or CN). Though Apple sounds good in every language. But some of his lines are a bit weird.

Game is fine. Currently my biggest complain are: - The gameplay becoming old really fast. I'm basically using the same strat over and over and not feeling any excitement - The combat voicelines repeating every time you attack are annoying after a time. - It seems a lot of character have the boring 200% to Single Target Card and with only 2 cards for each character, it really limits the gameplay imo - It's difficult to gauge how good a character is. I pulled A Knight but his cards doesn't do anything special but he is a 6* so maybe I'm missing something ? Currently using Mondlicht (love the design and VA), Eternity and Medicine Pocket - The little side-missions between each level are annoying and I pray after every level that there will be none - The story is very intriguing with the weird-ass character but the intro was very confusing and so I just started skipping everything Game is fine but it'll need more to keep me playing. Still prefer Arknights and Fire Emblem Heroes over this.
About the knight. He is brute force with some moxxie abilities. (Ya gotta make card 2 star to see the special effect) mass dmg immediately gain 2 moxxies, single target if kill enemy gain 2 moxxies. So yeah, he is ult spammer
As the first comment in 5 months, I'd like to say that R1999 has next to no depth in its gameplay, and while the story can be GREAT, the gameplay just isn't there.
I like this game but at the same time i can't stand the fact that a lot of stuff regarding UI is copied from other games, don't believe me? Arknights players look at the skin selection screen. I won't say anything about the mechanics because i believe the Lvl up, promote, lvl up again with "Elites" or "Insight" or even alchemy stars one. They are common now and it's fine if they used that too. I appreciate that more than genshin system tbf. But yes overall nice game, nice character designs, won't play it as a side game

For the first time I followed the recommendation of most Gacha experts and leveled and used the 4 starter characters and followed the guide missions and let me tell you, Sonetto/Eagle/Archer Girl/Apple are truly the MVP, I ended up changing APPle for Matilda cuz she is my new religion and I got to my first block in Ch3 boss, after that I thought about using a healer but I just did my free beginners pulls, got Eternity and "The Agent" and quite literally brute forced the boss.
Its very refreshing being able to switch up my strategy seeing if I'm able to take less turns with a different Run Configuration. I'm really enjoying Reverse1999, I'm still gonna be playing Arknights too.

2:15 that boss got a stupid bug I manage to burst him in 2-3 rounds to a point he should be dead but he didn't and started to spam skills until my team died and we rematch and I do it slowly killed him without a problem

I tried FGO a while ago and even tho I didn't really like the gameplay (and expected myself to quit this game after one-two days), I actually got hooked. Gameplay is easy to understand, English voice is so nice to listen to even tho some sound a bit weird, it's like the mic is broken or something; artstyle is awesome too. Funny thing is I wanted Knight and got him using an acc named "Das Conk Creet Baby" and because of that now I feel like I need to upgrade Cement as a thanks
Its pretty fun they give you abunch of rolls for beginners also yea healer is reccomended but im epic gacha player and brute force it (doesnt work in harder levels) the story had a few twists especially in the second chapter
Today, I finally got the last piece of island to upgrade the base. Ngl that I used Bkornblume as my main DPS anti tank gun and blasted everything in my sight.
Ssooo I also played it too(WAIFU WITH ACCENTSis hot), and after a few days of playing the gameplay is quite fun it's and not punishing for the players (ContingencyContract) it's also generous to the new player specially with the launch event that give you a free 20 pulls. It's a relaxing game where you can easily fix mistakes unlike AK where one mistake is fatal👁️👄👁️. Definitely a recommend game. (ALSO AS YII SAID THE VOICE ACTING IS BUSSTABLE IT'S JUST THAT GOOD)

The art style and voice acting carry it for me, and the story is written with short screenwritten scenes in mind and not a full blown chapter every stage like what other gachas try to do
I wouldn't recommend it to someone who hates turn-based games or want something more to do, but this is a cozy, beautiful game that's easy to get into because literally every 6 star is cracked, bar that one specific Botan looking one idk xd
It's good but not amazing. I got regulus the character I really wanted. Too invested into other games for R1999 right now but during lull periods I can see myself picking up R1999 here and there.
Bkorn is such a strong character for a *5. She punch really hard and her debuffs synergies really well with a lot of unit. My only gripe with this game is that a majority of healers are on a higher rarity so at a certain point you will struggle just because Apple didn't heal enough.
You can bring La Source, a pretty good healer imo.

I like the artwork and VA is not bad but damn, disappointing card game, very little choice, it is too simple. Pretty much got thru the first two chapters blind. The mechanics are mostly based on rng, so you can be screwed over if you don't get the cards you need, this could be said about any card game, but usually there are mechanics to tame it if you know how to construct your deck, here, forget about it.
It is like they can't decide who their target audience should be, lore seems to be quite dark until you stumble upon characters that are absolutely clueless and cheerful, some swear words are censored but some are not, there is no reason or ryme for anything.
Very strong opening and then the pacing drops off the cliff.
I refuse to level the Apple, since I'll wait until we get the 5 star healer on day 7. I also like wearing red noses, some colourful makeup and a wig 🤡
You get most of his materials (save for a bit of dust/coin) refunded up to I1 L1 so honestly just raise him there and then stop

The English translation is very dissapointing. Problems with localization are very common with gacha but for a game that heavily marketed its EN voice acting and story, the fact that it's this bad is shocking to me. I heard that the original script was written in English which makes it more insane if true. Even the VAs sound confused reading the script sometimes. I hope they fix it but very doubtful since it's all fully voice acted. I can see a good story underneath but it is buried pretty deep in broken English.

- doesn't make much grammatical sense. You can still understand the overall message, it's just really awkward. Sometimes it's not a grammatical problem but weird phrasing like "It's a pity that the patrolmen could not be confirmed", you simply will not hear an actual English speaker talk like this. It's not just once or twice, it's everywhere in the script and the voice acting only draws attention to these mistakes.

The VA is kinda mid for me. Sometimes the intonation feels off and Sonetto's mic quality could've been better (note: I'm using English VA so results may differ).
Its not bad, its just not great.

The JP VAs for some of them are a lot better imo. I think Eternity and Balloon Party are probably the ones I don't like that much voice-wise, but they sound great in JP.(Haven't checked KR or CN). Though Apple sounds good in every language. But some of his lines are a bit weird.
I hate the fact that Schneider. Will never going to be playable ;-; despite having already have kit and everything she's either Kalsit situation (Beta playable character but got cut in the Release) Or Frostnova situation

Ive had a blast with the game so far. Can definitely see myself playing it for quite a while.
I use low rarity debuff team, no healer just rabies L+ ratio
Game is fine. Currently my biggest complain are:
- The gameplay becoming old really fast. I'm basically using the same strat over and over and not feeling any excitement
- The combat voicelines repeating every time you attack are annoying after a time.
- It seems a lot of character have the boring 200% to Single Target Card and with only 2 cards for each character, it really limits the gameplay imo
- It's difficult to gauge how good a character is. I pulled A Knight but his cards doesn't do anything special but he is a 6* so maybe I'm missing something ? Currently using Mondlicht (love the design and VA), Eternity and Medicine Pocket
- The little side-missions between each level are annoying and I pray after every level that there will be none
- The story is very intriguing with the weird-ass character but the intro was very confusing and so I just started skipping everything
Game is fine but it'll need more to keep me playing. Still prefer Arknights and Fire Emblem Heroes over this.
About the knight.
He is brute force with some moxxie abilities. (Ya gotta make card 2 star to see the special effect) mass dmg immediately gain 2 moxxies, single target if kill enemy gain 2 moxxies. So yeah, he is ult spammer
As the first comment in 5 months, I'd like to say that R1999 has next to no depth in its gameplay, and while the story can be GREAT, the gameplay just isn't there.
I like this game but at the same time i can't stand the fact that a lot of stuff regarding UI is copied from other games, don't believe me? Arknights players look at the skin selection screen.
I won't say anything about the mechanics because i believe the Lvl up, promote, lvl up again with "Elites" or "Insight" or even alchemy stars one. They are common now and it's fine if they used that too. I appreciate that more than genshin system tbf.
But yes overall nice game, nice character designs, won't play it as a side game

The gameplay really is one of the gameplays of all time
For the first time I followed the recommendation of most Gacha experts and leveled and used the 4 starter characters and followed the guide missions and let me tell you, Sonetto/Eagle/Archer Girl/Apple are truly the MVP, I ended up changing APPle for Matilda cuz she is my new religion and I got to my first block in Ch3 boss, after that I thought about using a healer but I just did my free beginners pulls, got Eternity and "The Agent" and quite literally brute forced the boss.

2:15 that boss got a stupid bug I manage to burst him in 2-3 rounds to a point he should be dead but he didn't and started to spam skills until my team died and we rematch and I do it slowly killed him without a problem

reverse 1999 is my 2nd favorite gacha game because it bring you back in the 20th century like a 90s thingy and the story of it really good and the story Vertin the timekeeper is great I very interesting to MC Vertin and the other character backstory I read their backstory for some reason I want to more like is not boring to me and the English voice acting is awesome they nailed it and the art and the design is awesome too . I tried FGO a while ago and even tho I didn't really like the gameplay (and expected myself to quit this game after one-two days), I actually got hooked. Gameplay is easy to understand, English voice is so nice to listen to even tho some sound a bit weird, it's like the mic is broken or something; artstyle is awesome too. Funny thing is I wanted Knight and got him using an acc named "Das Conk Creet Baby" and because of that now I feel like I need to upgrade Cement as a thanks
Its pretty fun they give you abunch of rolls for beginners also yea healer is reccomended but im epic gacha player and brute force it (doesnt work in harder levels) the story had a few twists especially in the second chapter

Today, I finally got the last piece of island to upgrade the base.
Ngl that I used Bkornblume as my main DPS anti tank gun and blasted everything in my sight.
I play it, and now one of my favorite is a APPle, live is strange and wonderfull sometimes.
I got Eternity and An-an Lee and 4 other 5 stars and I'm beating it so far without heals haha

Ssooo I also played it too(WAIFU WITH ACCENTSis hot), and after a few days of playing the gameplay is quite fun it's and not punishing for the players (ContingencyContract) it's also generous to the new player specially with the launch event that give you a free 20 pulls. It's a relaxing game where you can easily fix mistakes unlike AK where one mistake is fatal👁️👄👁️. Definitely a recommend game.
