Amazing! :D 3 things I don't like about this ship: 1) the crew beds are on the floor 2) the interior of the ship wastes a lot of space 3) the remote turrets are connected using a ugly and flimsy toothpick. However, in the rest it is more than great!
I mean to be fair, it is a free skin you get for spending $25,000. The "ship" is free if you have bought basically every ship in game, you get a free skin for your 600.
@@GomulDart There's wasting space and then there's spacious. Having spacious interior is good, having an interior that wastes space is bad. The navigation globe room could have been half the size and the interior space redistributed between the actually luxurious parts of the ship to make them better. Could have made extra rooms for crew. Could have done a lot with the space, rather than just having there be nothing at all.
I'd be impressed if it were an 890J, or something else in that size/range. The fact that it's just a 600i with a skinjob just kind of makes it feel like a glorified turd. I'm not implying the 600i is bad by any means; Simply that, for the amount of money one must spend for this 'paintjob' and 'free ship', it doesn't really seem like much of a reward at all. More a 'cop-out', where you should have received an 890J.
I have to agree. To me the rewards for a lot of these Concierge tiers feels rather lacking; especially the 'lower' ranks. At $2.5k CIG tosses you a reskinned gun and at $5k a reskinned armored spacesuit. Most other studios give you better stuff for preordering their $60 game. Only at $10k+ do they suddenly start handing out expensive/exclusive ships like that F8C Lighting and this 600i. Almost feels like you don't matter to CIG unless you've shelled out $10k and that kinda sucks. I mean, just spending $1000 is already pretty insane if you think about it. You'd think CIG would show a bit more gratitude towards their 'whales'. 😜

Think of it like those casino owners giving whales a VIP treatment with all kinds of gifts, free hotel accomodations, plus free room service just to come play at their casino. That's kinda what this is. So far however, concierge level backers have just been given the equivalent of pre-order bonus items like any other development studio would give out to people for preordering their $60 game. Besides, it's not as if we're demanding it. CIG themselves asked us how to improve the Chairman's Club Experience and gave us a survey to fill in. After the results were shared; the one that ranked the highest was "more free stuff". So they made a thread where everyone could post their suggestions and vote on their favorite ones. As such it was CIG who approached concierge level backers; not the other way around. We just told them our opinion of the current 'experience' and how it could be improved. Besides, if CIG showed a bit more gratitude through free items and be smart about it; it could serve as free advertising. Like if CIG were to give concierge level backers a 100i with custom paintjob and access to a Chairman's Club themed Hab (or something) at $1000 then that's also free advertising for CIG and might entice people who haven't yet reached that first rank of concierge to spend more while costing CIG very little as it's still just mostly skins for existing items that they would be handing out. 🙂
Don't get me wrong, I love my 600i. It is the perfect balance between large ship awesomeness with a great interior to explore and revel at and the ability to fly it entirely solo with it functioning completely fine. But this is a paintjob... why the cost? The could have taken the time to revamp the interior to make use of all that dead space and make the layout more logical.

That package is not for regular people. That package is for large investors who are getting far more in return. That package is for people who will get private shares of the company etc.
I wouldn’t be happy if it were to stop dev now, but I also know it won’t stop now. At the same time I know it’s a gamble but I wanted to make this game in 2000. So I keep my tech job and talented people make it for me instead.

Also, those spindly turret deployment arms need a rework. They had some really neat folding turret designs in the concept for the 890 that could be adapted, or even just a simple tracked system like what the Ursa has for tucking its turret in...

Quick question here: when you have paid 25k and you get this, you would have pretty much all ships, where is incentive for progression or actually working towards anything in the game, which is kinda the main feature of the game? No?
The answer is friendship. No seriously: Even if you have all the ships in the verse - and with 25k$ you don't have all of them - you can't even use them alone. You need other players to use them in all their glory so one of the key features is indeed teamplay. And you can't buy that.
I agree with KungLi. I have about 30 ships and it in no way diminishes the game. Lately I've been having a lot of fun learning that advantages and disadvantages of each and how they fit in when playing different types of gameplay with my org. Right now I have more money than time and it lets me focus on the gameplay portions I want rather than grinding to get a better ship. That said, I can still do plenty of grinding so I can afford that "perfect" ship setup. XL-1s don't come cheap!
I am in similar boat albeit a much smaller boat. I bought 4 ships that I like that will allow me to get my foot in the door of good game loops I am interested in. I did not buy the game ending ships though. I do enjoy being the underdog and needing to "punch above my weight". Also there is no reason to grind if you do not desire to play the game, you can pay for UEC, just as easily as buying ships, you can buy UEC. I mean to be fair it is ridiculously priced on the store, but $20 for 20,000UEC is still chump change for someone sitting on a hangar with a value over $20,000.

Anyone who spends 25k on this game has some serious mental defect. You can earn all these ships in game! I have the 600i Executive edition, but i got it by selling star citizen ships to people on the grey market instead of buying ships. I sold ships to hundreds and hundreds of people and made like $30k and kept any ships i liked without ever spending a cent. I know from personal experience these people have a serious ship addiction problem.
Ironic that such a poorly designed ship is the 'flagship' of the concierge rewards tiers. Terrible interior, terrible functionality, and terrible design during the upsizing of the 600i from it's initial concept. And that's coming from an owner.

A cargo lift that rarely works without destroying whatever is on it. An elevator system with no stairs/ladders as backup. An engineering suite that requires trapsing through the lounge to reach. A kitchen attached to a component room. And some obsenely open/wasted crew quarters. Coupled with that, with the upsizing from it's original concept, none of the layout/furniture bits were considered (hence the obscenely long rear bench and table that's a football pitch away from it.
@@Capt_Snuggles there's actually one thing the 600i I think is surprisingly better at than the MSR... Combat. The shields on the 600i are no joke, and combined with 3 S5 weapons (S4 if gimbaled) and a bunch of s5 missiles, the thing can run down a HH at the least...

So you're telling me the MOST EXPENSIVE SHIP IN THE GAME. is literally the same exactly the lesser version of the 600i (Touring are 400k in-game extra than the explorer) but with black/gold color? Not that I have that amount of money to spend it in SC alpha phase, but HARD PASS! Good video thu.

@@KungLiGaming Yeah, sometimes you see some subtle interior differences with variants like the 300i (white+black) and 325a (black+black) but mostly it's the same or very subtle. I think the Cutlass BiS 2950 skin had some minor interior changes but that was mostly around the external doors and the ramp where there was some gold colored supports. Would have been nice though if an exterior paint also changed the interior. Here's hoping that at some point we'll get access to interior customization for all the ships including the paint. 😃
For 25k you get tons of already playable ships and support the development of a game that is considered as many peoples dream. Also you get this 600i on top.

So you're telling me the MOST EXPENSIVE SHIP IN THE GAME. is literally the same exactly the lesser version of the 600i (Touring are 400k in-game extra than the explorer) but with black/gold color? Not that I have that amount of money to spend it in SC alpha phase, but HARD PASS! Good video thu.
No, basically you don't pay anything for this ship. You get it on top after you paid for a lot of other ships.

I think there is not a single ship that has an altered interior when it comes with a different paint job.
@@KungLiGaming Yeah, sometimes you see some subtle interior differences with variants like the 300i (white+black) and 325a (black+black) but mostly it's the same or very subtle. I think the Cutlass BiS 2950 skin had some minor interior changes but that was mostly around the external doors and the ramp where there was some gold colored supports.
Would have been nice though if an exterior paint also changed the interior. Here's hoping that at some point we'll get access to interior customization for all the ships including the paint. 😃

Lol..For 25k I bought a brand new i30 (cash) loaded last summer. For spending 25k in SC you get...Pretty pictures.
For 25k you get tons of already playable ships and support the development of a game that is considered as many peoples dream. Also you get this 600i on top.

MSR is superior to 600i in Hull points, Range, speed and maneuverability, and cargo capacity.
@@johnconnor2247 Cutlass guts an MSR as a drop ship or fighter. Not to mention taking (seems like) ten minutes less to get into and fly.

I mean there is nothing to disagree about u spend 25 thousand dollars they give u a few ships that u already own with exclusive skins and thats a rip off the only thing unique is the weapons given moving up to the 25k rank it gives you nothing special really and imo thats a rip off if a person is willing to spend 25k they should get a statue on the planet they choose or a special interior design but to receive a ship already in your fleet with an "exclusive " paint yea dude at 25k thats not a gift thats a slap in the face
