      @@marcosamadop_1 Nope, Argentina and Uruguay are tie 19 - 19, probably he or you are taking in count the "mundialito" or Gold Cup of Winners of 1980, which IS NOT an official title according to FIFA.
      Argentina (19) 2 World Cups, 14 Copas Americas, 1 Confederations Cup, 1 Copa Artemio Franchi, 1 Panamerican Championships.
      Uruguay (19) 2 Worl Cups, 15 Copas Americas, 2 Olympic Gold Medals

    Im actually really pissed That we got rid of Råsunda (where my team AIK played). I understand That we needed a new national stadium, but how could we get rid of the stadium where a world cup final in Sweden was played! That was probably the only world cup that ever will have been held in Sweden and Råsunda would have been a historic monument in Sweden for future generations, and they will probably think we where idiots who got rid of it

      vtt355 Man relax nothing happened with the Maracana after the Rio Olympics. It is still being regularly used by Flamengo and Fluminense as their stadium and hosts some national side games as well. All the media liars told Maracana was being destroyed or something but it really isn't. Some other Olympic places are in really bad condition but we all knew they would be badly treated after the Olympics. This happened almost everywhere they hosted it.

      Even tho sure Sweden today has newer and better stadiums, that was a historic site, and as you can see by this video, the only one who hosted a WC Final that got destroyed and not reutilized.

    Great video! I would love to see an even more complete, sequential compilation of Men’s FIFA World Cup stadiums that includes every stadium to ever host a Men’s FIFA World Cup game-alphabetically by stadium name, by World Cup year. It would be a project. However, it would give a fantastic glimpse into how these stadiums have held up against time.

      Nah, those pillars standing in the way of spectators are annoying. It's outdated design and overall old stadium need to go.

      It may have looked better but it was a terrible stadium to watch football in. Lots of pillars and restricted views, shallow angled seating and a dog racing track in between the pitch and the stands. The facilities inside were terrible as well. Now it's a World Class facility.

      The new Wembley should have kept the old twin towers. Relocate them to accommodate the size of the new Wembley but keep them.

      friend at that time the maracana had just been inaugurated, and soon after a match between 2 strong guys, Brazil vs Uruguay, final was 3 urugaui to 1 brazil, evidence that there were more than 199 854 fans (174 350 paying) without a doubt and many people I'm brazilian sorry if I miss a few words

      In November 2012 it was closed down and replaced by the newly built Friends Arena about 1 km from Råsunda Stadium. Flats and offices will be built on the old ground.

      smaller capacitys are cuz there were no seats before, you would stand and so it wasnt limited. Now there are seats and there is only limited number of them cuz they take space, use logic

    As far I know Wembley was demolished 2003 and a new one was built on the site. Due to this fact. It is false to say that New Wembley have been host for a final.

      Logically if they are called "Olympic Stadium", i guess it's a two for one if the country is interested in making the Olympic Games, but personally, athletic tracks on football stadium bothers me a little bit.

      friend at that time the maracana had just been inaugurated, and soon after a match between 2 strong teams, Brazil vs Uruguay, final was 3 urugaui to 1 brazil, evidence that there were more than 199 854 fans (174 350 paying) without a doubt and many people I'm brazilian sorry if I miss a few words

      currently Maracanã kinda (died) maximum capacity and 78,000 fans, this year one of the biggest audiences was 66,000 fans if I'm not mistaken it was a flamenco game I just don't remember which Flamengo current winner of liberators -current won from the Brazilian league i'm brazilian and i know kind of english

      @@guilhermecividini2945 Would it have been able to have safely hold that many. Almost 200k sounds very dangerous. I'm sure the atmosphere was great but can imagine crowd control was precarious. I know there's a lot of criticism of modern stadiums for lacking atmosphere compared to the past but I do think safety first.
