Was looking forward to this one after yesterday's video. I always get pleasantly surprised by the amount and quality of the animation and sprites in Metal Slug games.
the runner admitted several times that this game is very hard with heavy rng when it comes to enemy behavior and that he himself has never completed a no-death run even though he has played this game 10 times more than the original metal slug precisely due to its difficulty, and the final boss is just unfair
Some people seem to forget (or simply not know) that marathon runs are not your usual speedrun, where the runners can try as many times as they want or just quit the game and try again on any mishap if it would compromise a WR or PB, this is a one-shot. So don't give anyone too much shit for stating the problems on a run (even if the runner has acknowledged them already). Of course, they should try their best and practice beforehand but always keep in mind that marathons put a lot of mental and physical stress on the runners, with relocating, different sleeping places, different setups, some times a huge audience and the necessity for commentary (and the fact that real life has a habit of ruining carefully planned schedules and people's free time).

Someone should livestream themselves playing Metal Slug at a laundromat

@@Guruc13 Sometimes you can still find old arcade machines in laundromats, and Metal Slug is a relatively common one.
