@@JDYTC It won't save the kangaroo but it might save the people in the car. I don't think you understand how much more damage hitting a large kangaroo at 300hm/h is. You really think there are wildlife crossings on these roads and that the animals understand what they are? Bro...
@@Zinteus That’s false. I _do_ understand. Even on the German Autobahn barely anybody ever reaches 300 km/h. 150 - 200 is speeds I am talking about. Perhaps I do not fully understand how Australia is. However, wildlife crossings, underpass tunnels, wildlife tunnels, viaducts and overpasses are not limited to Europe only. And “animals understand what they are” because they do not have another possibility/choice-gates (natural or artificial) will direct them. No matter how big, you can gate a wildlife community. Just a matter of choosing where and how your local Big Brother wants to spend their extorted and confiscated tax dollars 🤷♂️ If you look up “wildlife crossing” on Wikipedia, the main picture is of one in Israel. The second one is of an underpass in Florida, USA. Third pic is of one in Kuwait. So no, no country is too big for wildlife crossings 🤷♂️ Regardless, Big Brother prohibiting people to drive faster than 110 km/h (i.e. 20% slower than in Europe!) in one of the biggest and most desolated countries om the planet is effing insane in my opinion. If I want to take the risk of dying by hitting a kangaroo that’s on me 🤷♂️ That’s the whole point of freedom: it comes with responsibility 🤷♂️
@JDYTC ruclips.net/video/ZzaIfH0DYCI/видео.htmlsi=o_QLEEpd_txxEKQV here's one of the many examples you can find on RUclips and this one is during the day. It's much worse at night because the roads are pitch black and even with high beams, you don't see them until you're metres away. The amount of money it would take to build a border on each side of the road would probably be close to if not more than 1 billion dollars
I drove that road last year in a Prado, was awesome Ceduna to Kalgoorlie 1800km in one day😂
Cycled up it last year got half way nearly killed me so I turned around and cycled back. 😢
Isn't that the same distance?
@John.Christopher I think that's the point of the joke, keep up
@John.Christopher you think anybody is cycling 500 miles anywhere in Australia? 😩
We just call it "Crossing the Nullabor"
I have never head someone call the highway by its official name.
Imagine only being allowed to do 70mph/110kmh 💀 This should be one big fat limitless German Autobahn 🇩🇪🛣️
Beware the kangaroos as they appear out of nowhere
And hitting them with 110 km/h saves everybody?
Also, wildlife crossings 🤷♂️

Home of most of the filming of the original MAD MAX movie
This should be a big fat limitless German Autobahn 🛣️
It is, just don't tell anyone 😂
Did this in January! Perth to NSW...Felt so many emotions!
Fun fact: although Nullarbor sounds like an indigenous name, it’s actually Latin - 'Null arbor' means 'no trees'…
Imagine pinning it for 90 straight miles you can do it 15 min going 270
I bet they opt to reach 100miles😂
The most boring road ever and I drove it without cruise control
V-max strip
Using bananas when reporting on a metric country
Called the '90 mile straight' since before we went metric mate
@@daveclews4497 i see but he still says miles when explaining
