It can. Although from what I’ve heard it isn’t highly recommended due to it being a Double Reed and such. Although I’m going off what I’ve heard from my fellow Band Mates after all I’m just a Marching Percussionist trying to learn more about Wind Instruments as a whole. 😂😅
Oboe player here You can it’s just very not recommended for tons of reasons 1 double reeds can become out of tune really quickly just by having your mouth in this wrong spot 2 if it’s a wood instrument cracking can happen 3 it’s usually not loud enough 4 hdhfhjf back pressure
depending one reed material it can crack it can crack the instrument or mess up the reed making it go sharp. (more pressure on reed needed while marching and something with UV rays from the sun i think )
As an Oboe player I love the solo. Beautifully played.
Loved it tiller!!
Thanks Tyler!
yo tyler great footage! see ya next year-marcus
Hi Marcus, it’s Ivy!

you cant march with it but they mostly stood still when they were soloing.
marching soprano sax is way better than marching oboe because it has a similar range and sound and is a single reed
depending one reed material it can crack it can crack the instrument or mess up the reed making it go sharp. (more pressure on reed needed while marching and something with UV rays from the sun i think )
Pretty vibrato
