Teal Mask scenes where Ogerpon turned out to be friendly cute innocent Pokemon, humans mistaken her as a vicious attacker, but revealed lousy 3 and Pecharunt were the real true troublesome tricksters and thieves all along, reverse role, bad become good and good become bad
I haven't heard this story in a long long time. I remember hearing this story in primary school. It's my favorite tale of the different kinds of folklore.
I've always liked this story, it's one of my favorite stories in Japanese mythology. It's like Tom Thumb or Thumbelina (protagonist being born of a plant) was crossed with Peter and the Wolf, with a boy and animals banding together to fight a common enemy. It's just the right amount of fairy tale whimsy with adventure, plus a valuable lesson in favoring unity over division for the greater good. Wonderful story. ☺️🍑🐕🐒🦅 (couldn't find a pheasant emoji 😅)
Momotaro is Superman before Superman, heck he even has a dog (that dog is Crypto the Superdog before Crypto the Superdog) plus he fights against ogres (Ogre King is Lex Luthor before Lex Luthor), plus he was adopted by an elderly farmer couple (that elderly farmer couple are Jonathan and Martha Kent before Jonathan and Martha Kent, respectively)
100% true, but in the Pokemon universe, Pecharunt and Lousy 3 were the true villains while Ogerpon is a cute innocent little female Ogre is a true hero after all, her 3 masks were stolen by them, it's up to Players and NPC to save these 3 masks
@@VSSEDragon3 Yes, that's typical of Pokemon reversing the trope. Yet the ogre still was a threat to the three. Even though she was a Grass type. Make sense of that one.
@@aidanhever3369 married couple couldn’t have a kid so they tried to imagine what he would’ve been like for closure and kept all their thoughts in a box and buried it in their garden. Suddenly a kid came out with leaves on his legs and says he’s the couple’s kid, and he is the perfect embodiment of what they imagined their kid would be like. The rest of the movie is just the kid exploring life and doing bunch of bs while the couple struggles being parents. It’s one of those movies that was heavily advertised then forgotten about when people realized how kinda crappy it was. Or at least I thought it was crappy.
When I was in 2nd grade my teacher read us a story just like this but instead it was a girl and she was born in a watermelon. Such an amazing story with beautiful art we all loved it I never forgot it today I tired to look it up and found this.
Lol, considering that peaches are used as substitute emoji for bums, this story was extra delightful to listen to. I giggled a few times. On a serious note, I really enjoy the imagines you use.
Is anyone playing Street Fighter 6. If so then there's a guy based on Momotaro in Akuma's stage. I'm guessing he was there to try to defeat Akuma. He even had a dog, monkey and pheasant with him. Akuma's japanese name is Gouki which means great oni.
THOSE MUST HAVE BEEN SOME DAMN GOOD NEXT LEVEL SHIT TYPE OF DUMPLINGS 🥟🥟🥟! ALSO..ON A SIDE NOTE....... MOMOTARO MAY HAVE BEEN A KIND, WELL MANNERED, RESPECTFUL, EMPATHETIC,BENEVOLENT AND OVERALL FRIENDLY GUY, BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY... HE AND HIS COMPANIONS LITERALLY BEAT THINGS / PEOPLE TO DEATH WITH THEIR BARE HANDS ✊🏻🫵🏻👊🏻🤜🏻🤛🏻👎🏻
Well it depends on the version of the story you read. In some versions he kills the entire Oni race after the king surrenders. In others he convinces the remaining Oni to make peace. In others he makes the Oni return what they stole and then the village people do the killing. Like we said this story has MANY variants!

And now the DLC in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is going to feature creatures based off this myth. Gotta love when things coincide.
Yeah
This brings these inspirations and references to the same on Momotaru
I originally learned this story from Samurai Jack of all things!
That was a great show
Same here
And adults wanna tell you, you don't learn nothing from watching TV.
I don’t remember that episode
@@Sch0lar4h1re yes it was the game was horrible
Awh, this is such a charming story! I love it! Beautifully presented, as well!😊💜🌍
I'm here because of Pokémon's new DLC! Which I heard is partly based on this story, possibly.

i thought it was just a manga turned into an anime but no there's a whole legend to it
This mirrors the Japanese tale of Princess Kaguya.
YUP.
This story is like Pokémon mixed with Superman.

Fantastic narration and a great story!
Do you think there should be a movie about him
@@jalenikezeue4114 I'd watch it. It's a great fantasy adventure . I think it would do well Live action or Animated
I first came across this story in a stylized re-telling from Stan Sakai in his Usagi Yojimbo series.
So this is who the Donbrothers super sentai are based on
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal mask, anyone?
Wonderful narrative of this story brother, well done as always 👏.
Came here after seeing the legend being added to Pokemon mythology.

Why Disney didn't make an animated movie adaptation of this story ?
Kinda sounds like the Odd Life of Timothy Green. Or at least, the beginning of it does.
