Nice understated drums too so it’s not swamping everything. I’m wondering if the album should have been called “ Strings Matter Too “ lol
Check out the original from Darcus. Don't get me wrong this is a great rendition but the original is pure magic. Richie Rome who wrote and arranged this song is criminally underrated.
as a true authentic disco man its a great Re-mix 101% ,, yet,, as they say in reggae a lot of the sauce is on the 2 & 4 (UK) just listened to the original & the sauce in parts is on the 1 & 3 (USA) though admit to get that exact sauce may have been impossible to capture, if, you cannot hear it Disco sometimes has a very ethnic beat, not an A typical 4/4 some would call it slight of hand (even a bad drummer reading a weak score ) my research suggests its the St Louis March or similar ruling ,, the upbeat 1st beat & is "rolling" or adjustable rather than fixed jazz musicians are sometimes powerful when doing commercial music thanks
