I know you're wondering where the string part is from, so here it is:
Henry Mancini, _Lujon_ - also known as _Slow Hot Wind_ - from the album _Mr Lucky Goes Latin_ (1961, unrelated to that period's TV show). A jazz/swing version of it was eventually included by the composer in his album _Symphonic Soul_ (1975).
It was featured in the movies _The Big Lebowski_ (1998) and _Two Lovers_ (2008), among others.

Ive heard a few edits incorporating the strings from Henry Mancini's song Lujon, but this is the best by far. The bass does it for me on this one.
