So suspciously enough Blizzard has been adding these no faction affiliated half humans, half elves but at the same time with the new draenei heritage questline they introduced a brand new race. This race is called Oshu'nei and they are half orcs, half draenei and in practical terms these guys are literally just orcish models with glowing eyes, the only difference is that they just joined the draenei which are a part of the Alliance.
Even more interestingly Blizzard confirmed a few weeks back that a new faction conflict is going to be happening soon with very likely some turning event happening in the War Within which will be forcing a lot of the races to take sides like it happened. If this does happen is it likely that these new humans and the orcs will be joining the Horde and the Alliance as new allied playable races, especially seeing that they are already good to go as is with their current models.

I still find it baffling that they never added the hozen and jinyu races back in the day after all you did a quest line recruiting them into the factions.

I think it's just because they are specifically individual tribes/clans of those races and they generally don't have influence with the others of Pandaria.
Let's be honest. If the Arathi are gonna side with any faction, it's the Scarlet Crusade. And honestly... I'd not be surprised if they'd not had some recent contact already. 😂
This won’t happen, the datamined half elf ears are for multiple races like KT humans as well, so at most it’ll be like Night Warrior or Man’ari customizations.
Its just so people can roleplay as a x race and elf child.

RIP Warcraft franchise, i really dont get it why make both factions into the same boring thing everybody wants new races not re-used model we want Ogres, Naga ect nobody wants a human in Ogr. or a Orc in Stormwind. Look at the Earthen really 0 hype around them for what i see from the community.
People have wanted faction choice for a long time, arguably longer than Naga and Ogres, baby steps, do you want it fast or do you want it good?

I’ve was fascinated about orcs being in alliance and humans being part of the horde.
Alrathi humans *do* fit the Horde - they had sided with the Horde in the classic Warcraft series. So the lore is already there.
This sounds like the opposite of what anyone wanted. But I guess the lore can just be changed. 😆
I dont mind changes that can be logically explained... Blizzard on the otherhand just change things on whim because they think it sounds cool, which destroys any sort of narrative cohesion.

Nagga cannot use regular mounts etc. :D I think its one of the biggest problem for them. Actual content can't fit with Naggas. You need more human humanoid type.
No way they'd introduce half orc half draenei without more customization options. Tendrils, hooves, blue skin, tails?
So, what was the point of Yrel's conflict with the orcs on Draenor then? Granted, it was a different planet/timeline, but she was still made aware at that time that orcs and draenei were NOT friends!
so they can villain bat Yrel and make her evil for the sake of plot. She was the only decent thing in all of WoD, and they turned her into space german painter for the sake of Brown Alt Orcs on the horde and excusing Grom for all his clear hatred and atrocities on draenor.
I really wish Warcraft could move beyond having only Race conflicts.
It would be so nice if they'd just unlock the races from factions and have an ideological conflict instead. They could just let us chose a race, and then chose a faction to join.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it. I want an option to opt out of the faction wars. I want to be in a neutral faction because I'm tired of the writing where they cycle through horde leaders being scummy and nearly irredeemable. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I would love to move my main from the horde and be a part of a faction that works behind the scenes on the "background stuff" only. It's a wish never to be fulfilled like frost DKs being a threat to mobs out in the world.
Well horde did just get an Alliance model so it's only fair we get a horde model, though i was hoping for a neutral goblin maybe with tattoo's and implants, or neutral Tauren/trolls but i'll settle for Orc half breeds.

F that, we don't need those filthy orks in our Alliance ranks. Giving the Alliance the new dwarfs is already disappointment enough. Alliance and Horde need to be separate, the Horde have committed the genocide of the Night Elves, bombed Theramore, enslaved elementals, their faces are ugly, and they smell bad too!
And I feel like it ruins the fantasy. I like having a faction to hate and fight against, even though we all understand that it's just a game and they are also people like us behind the keyboard (apart from Vulpera players, those are actual real life goblins).

I care about faction conflict. For me it is what makes warcraft warcraft. This cosmic story about killing the bad big evil joinig forces is just so boring and repetitive.
and faction conflict is just as boring and repetitive because there can be no clear victor so the conflict either just abruptly stops or ends in yet another stalemate when the next galactic big bad shows up. its there simply to distract the simple minded wow fanboy who oorahs and lok'tars at Blizzcon when Metzen asks "wheres my horde at".
I was hoping the factions would be dissolving at some point during the next 3 xpacs.

This video is probably really good, but @0:34 seconds in, I’m already over blizzards dumbass-ery and I can’t be bothered. They’re butchering Cata enough as it is with all the bugs and lack of maintenance (on a version of the game they’ve already released) and every time I try to look at modern wow I remember why I left.

Now I'm not that saying that a half-orc/draenei would be a bad addition, but it is starting to feel like all these allied races are bloating the factions a bit. It doesn't pique my interest as much. I'd rather see more factions as options than more allied races. Adding a 'Pirate' faction would certainly make things interesting. There's already plenty of lore to tie it to. Heck, make it a faction that lets you flag yourself for pvp against everyone--including your own faction. World pvp would get really spicy.
I STILL want the different body type variations for the Kul Tiran Human race, yeah, they're bigger than normal humans but they're also smaller and thinner than the normal humans as well. They would make a great looking warlock or mage with the skinny characters, and even rogues. Why they were never put in as a body type variation I will never know because it doesn't make sense to have them in the game but not playable when the race is playable
lol I hate how back and fourth they have been about the Alliance and Horde faction war stop showing us them kissing and making up and JUST LET US FIGHT!
As much as cross faction dungeon or raid is fine (no problem to have friends on different side playing together since the enemy of each expac is the same for each faction), I’m very much opposed to the possibility of choosing a faction if you’re not a neutral race like the pandarens. The game has been made around the faction rivalry. If you change that, you kill the game, and spoil the fun.

Going back to a faction war is the stupidest fucking thing. Not because it is bad... but we are going into a faction war.... where the leaders are still friends and the players are still friends... so what only the non-important characters are fighting? What is the point?
Blizzard churning out lazy playable races by reskinning old existing races. What next? Alliance Fel Goblins which are basically pink goblins?
With one parent having hooves and horns and a skull plate, I'm not gonna lie, I've always been way disappointed in how these half orcan-dranei people came out looking. Just saying blue skin and glowing eyes is sort of a let down to me.
So blizzard cannot let me play ud and orcs paly fo so long time but they expect im gonna be happy for next orcs/dwards/elves recolor? For me its still almost basic race, i dont find it exciting....
Giving players different types of orcs humans elves or dwarfs is just lazy work! give us a new species a new race give us hozen jinue ogres knolls. no more elves dwarfs orcs we already have more than enough of them.
We might get ethereals next expansion in midnight I am so hoping we get them and maybe a new hero cloth class as well we haven’t got a cloth hero class yet so hopefully the ethereals will introduce the new class for us I hope it’s something like nethermancer or void related
I can not see Orcs joining with the Alliance , but Humans ......... they will join anyone who is the flavor of the month , than move onto something better .

Blizzard doesnt ask why, they just do. the rule of cool strikes again. of course this will make all the faction war nuts happy, they get another poorly thought out conflict that will inevitably end in yet another stalemate because reasons.

Doubtful that the Oshu'nei could become a full allied race, but Krokul seem to be running off of normal Draenei models with different heads ad back-tentacles instead of tails. Krokul would be a relatively simple Allied Race to code in. Mok'Nathal, or Rexxar at least, are modified Kul'tiran rigs. Make the Body 2 option just a larger, bulkier Orc model 2/female body and we're golden, although I'd prefer they get an actual unique model, Blizzard isn't going to do that unless somebody holds a knife to their throat. Having the Oshu'nei acting as go-betweens for the Orcs and the Draenei would be a neat touch.
In regards to the whole 'Alliance and Horde will go to war', I'd be willing to bet that Turalyon is going to go off the deep end and/or the Mag'har will, via magic like we've seen with Pandaren Dream-Tea and the magic Jaina used at the start of Battle for Azeroth to reveal a soldier's memories of an event, expose what the Light-Forged Draenei did to the Mag'har, and possibly even their own people. Turalyon will go "Great, the Horde can be vanquished AND put to good use!" and will probably jump at the thought of allying with the Arathai Empire, while the rest of the Alliance will recoil at LIGHT-BOUND SLAVERY and joining hands with the Scarlet Crusade 3 : Half the Elves, Twice the Ego edition.
Horde's likely to splinter as well with no clear leaders on the Horde Council, between those who see fighting as the only way forwards, and those who think they need to stay defensive or the whole world will just throw their hands up and go "Horde's evil again!" and throw behind the Alliance regardless. If Calia will be a pawn, or a secret ploy by the Naaru who helped raise her to thwart the Arathai Empire and whatever nonsense is backing them up, could be an interesting plot-point to pursue, especially since Mu'ru's core is still in the Sunwell and we have no idea how much influence the Light will have over the Sin'dorei by this species-wide connection between Sin'dorei and Sunwell.

There is already hints of potentially having humans sided/affiliating with the Horde. Made a human character way back in WoTLK that I RP’d as a half-orc/human- fast forward to modern WoW, Alliance characters can now sport a Horde tabard but not vice versa.
If they want to do this then it should be some long lengthy quest line that you have to take on for a week or 2 maybe a month in order to change your faction, would make the choice to do this a bit more impactful on the player.

@@MrOrcshaman Faction conflict doesn't mean faction war being the main focus. There are more options than "All out war" and "peace between the factions". It's okay to have conflict and friction between the two factions.

Rexxar is literally a reskinned Kul'tiran model. We could get Ogres just by using a Pandaren rig with longer legs, but that would require Ogres not having 'female' or 'body 2' models, and Blizzard would sooner have a shattered glass suppository than not have a barbie-doll counterpart to the he-man male models.

@TheKrenk999 I had thought of allied race questline that has a group of Horde allied Ogres joining an expedition to an elusive island where they discover a tribe of "body type 2" Ogres. We aid our Ogres in trials to gain respect and then a volcano erupts and we take them back with us. If we had the old Blizzard we could've had a ton of Futurama references too lol
I think there will be a faction war, but i dont think it will be horde vs alliance. I believe it will be light vs void, or something similar to that, and you will choose your side, whaterver your race is
No more allied races. It is just a cheap gimmick that was fun at the beginning but after 6 years is time to stop this nonsense.
