This was he first year, that I had watched American Idol, I was totally mesmerized ..with this young man...

This guy has an amazing sound watch his studio track IN THE BAYOU. Unfortunately on this show his beautiful voice seems to be drowned out by loud backup vocals and band music. I know the show theme is Woodstock (thus the Joe Cocker reference) but this is a Ray Charles song. Anyway, the band hit this one out of the park and made it easy for Laine to sound good.
