How does a cooker like this perform in the cold? I would love to make one but i’m in Canada so this cooker so meed to perform way below freezing.
what type of split wood were you using?
Hi Frederick. I am using hickory and oak. Hopefully picking up some fruit wood this weekend!
@@rubwars3679 Thanks for the reply. I normally use apple and occasionally cherry with my pork, it compliments well.

Building a cinder block smoker this weekend/next week. Anything you'd redo different?
I would build in some deflector plates. There is quite a temp swing from the left side of the pit where the firebox is to the exhaust side. I would also build it bigger than you think you need lol. I am all ready wishing mine was bigger.
I'm going to build for a 4x4 foot cook top

No need for any spices if you add Accent, its MSG.....
