- Remy DeJoseph as The Phantom of The Opera and Asia Stewart as Christine Daae' perform Past The Point of No Return.In this scene Christine thinks that the man in the cloak is her fellow actor Piangi ,when in fact it is the Phantom of The Opera. Soon she notices it is him.
Wow, and I thought we had a good singer on our theater team. The young man playing Erik has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard sing that part. And I'm including professionals in that assessment. The girl playing Christine also has a magnificent voice. I hope both of them go on to work in some capacity that allows them to showcase such talent. Bravo!

Beauty is in the ears of the listener. I prefer this young man's voice. I was not stating a fact but an opinion. You apparently spend too much time judging the voices of high schoolers and not enough time paying attention to what lessons you should have already learned. Like simple definitions.

The girl made a wonderful Christine! But let me just congratulate the Phantom from here to the moon and back. Jesus. His amazing vocals rival that of Ramin Karimloo, my favourite phantom out there. I think I'd cry if I found a man that would sing that well. However, props to both! You're going far! (:

I think that the singing is out of this world. The one issue I had was that the acting was boring, he spent his whole part standing about as far from Christine as humanly possible and when they did entwine, they didn't do anything.
Well, it is highschool. It still has to be appropriate for underaged kids. It can't be like the movie or stage play.

I just found this today, and words cannot express how happy this makes me. The girl is an amazing Christine, but the young man in the role of the phantom has such amazing vocals. I can see him as a future phantom in the broadway production.

The two leads are Seniors in High school .
Just a few comments, The sets were all made by HS students with limited budget. Not sure of you all know but the rights to Phantom is EXTREMELY expensive.In this scene they are suppose to be in a "Scene" from an Opera. This set would have been a set with in a set. I have seen this song done with nothing but a table and a bowl of fruit. lol anyway hope you are all enjoying the videos still three year later check out my other HS videos from Shrek,Drowsy Chaperone, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Omg these people need to be on broadway! So. Much. Talent! The production wasn’t extravagant like a lot of the high school productions ive seen but the talents were through the roof!

I’m on the verge of tears and speechless... There’s no words... he sang so passionately, so beautifully. It’s astonishing, and further if we consider the fact they’re just amateurs and this is just a school play. And.. he sang just like Gerard Butler! I’m so thrilled, so emotional! It was surreal.. I don’t feel this way even watching the performances from Broadway or west end.. they were just phenomenal

Thank you to all the many people who have sent positive messages on my channel . as for the people who have been negative these were CHILDREN at the time of this video was recorded they were 17 years old!! Go crawl in your hole and get a life! This is a community where we were one of the first to put on Phantom as a high school . the pit is all HS kids, the set design is all HS kids and the actors are all HS kids . I dare you to find a public school with such diverse talent ! AGAIN thank you all for the beautiful comments over the years

Emmy Vi, it's also only a high school production, and since there's usually a limited supply of talent in high schools they have to simply pick the best actor for the role regardless of how historically accurate it is, and you have to admit, she's REALLY good.

IStoleAn Angel'sGrace I have no problem with a colored Christine but if I were seeing this on broadway or other professional setting, I would expect the actors playing these roles to be white because that is what is accurate. There weren't many colored people at all in France at that time.

So few professional phantoms go the extra mile to imitate Piangi's accent during this song, so on top of how phenomenal Remy is already--brava to him for doing so! He definitely was the scene-stealer for me. As others have pointed out, it's not difficult to make this scene sensual without veering into inappropriate territory though, so that aspect was a bit underwhelming.

the singing is amazing but the stage they way it was organized was bad. i really don't care if it is high school, the point of no return is a passionate song so it must be sung and acted out passionately. and where he was standing raoul could easily get him and the costumes are really bad. the only good thing about this video is the singing.
I've played Christine before and I'm only 15, I did this scene and I can say it isn't that hard to make it passionate without being inappropriate, these two don't have good chemistry, the voices are there but they don't work well together. Also the set and costumes aren't very good. The Christine is trying to hard to act sensual, and the unmasking part was not right at all.

Vocals are fantastic, but the acting was not there. Also what the heck was going on with the hands. The voices will get you somewhere, but when you get acting skills up you will not regret it.
