I remember seeing MET mincing around in Nørresundby with his flyingpalls in flightsuits…, I found them soooo cool…, that was back in the early 90`
Thanks for sharing Thomas!
Another great interview.

Come on, our hotdogs are great 🌭😁
@@henrikerdland578 Meh to hotdogs - but Danes IME tend to be pretty good folk
That photo at 9:21 is an MLU'd F-16AM. You can tell by the AIFF antennae on the nose.
So post 1996 for production MLU kits. That AIFF must have been quite important to their European mission. When you start tossing long range BVR shots you gotta know who's red and who's blue. Was it a good system? I see the USAF bought a bunch of the kits as well.
@@hoghogwild It was game-changing for the Viper with the AIM-120 for BVR capes. We did the development and test of it at Edwards from 1987-onward. It was initially supposed to be installed in F-16C/D Block 30G, but wasn’t funded until Block 50 in the 1990s. As part of CCIP, the USAF has implemented it into late-Block Vipers like 40s and 42s.
It was probably the most important upgrade for the European NATO MSIP partners for weapons employment, along with structures, Radar, wiring harnesses, a C model cockpit but with color displays, mission computer, WFOV HUD, automated EW systems, GPS, HMD, digital terrain navigation, and other bells and whistles.
It basically turns an A Model into a refurbished and structurally-enhanced A, with Block 50 avionics and some unique European systems.
👌
Fascinating stuff BUT *Did anyone catch what he said (at 16.50) he WOULDN'T want to meet in DAC* ?
There's blip in the soundtrack at exactly the wrong moment
raptor i believe
Thomas does not like Belgium...
We went after BinLaden for why we went to Afghanistan and mission creep set in.The Afghanis were stone age and had no interest in democracy, especially the Afghan leaders who were more preoccupied with gaining power and money. After we found Osama (in Pakistan of all places) and killed him the USA stayed another ten years ! , accomplishing nothing. The "Afghan army" didn`t want to fight for their own nation so the coalition was basicly occupiers spending billions trying to buy friends. It`s too bad the Afghans were not interested.Trying to "nation build" is harder than it sounds.
