well folks to the ones that dont know that chord progression has been played many years before pink floyd , not talking about the lead or melody of the song many flamenco guitarist played that prog years ago its been done in a minor b minor ect. no one has full copyrights of progressions if that was so their would be no zz top stevie ray vaughn ect. every one has full rights to use that progression as long as they write their own melody, and trust me ur selling ur self short if u dont try to write ur own song with it pink floyd did not invent that progression u can play write whatever as long as u dont use the actual pink floyd track , if u google songs that sound like cn u will see that progression has been used long before , also thanks quantize for backing , folks just have fun with it , peace out
I just had to say "STYLE" to avoid copyright infringement. It would also serve as a better title potentially drawing in more Pink Floyd fans. I play all the guitars and bass on all my songs and I use Superior Drummer 2.0 and Pro Tools 9 to mix.
Maybe you should just thank the person who create this backing track instead of talking about the voice you didn't like in the beginning.. just sayin'.. :)
And you sir for that comment have just won yourself a free remixed with better tones and extended version of this track! Congratulations and thanks for the amazing comment! That literally made my day perfect!
Thanks for this backing track. It's the one I love most so far. Really makes feel great, inspires me to improvize and move with my guitar, and my chair sometimes :))
Great For Practicing Improvisation And Learning How To Move And Connect The B Minor Pentatonic Up And Down The Neck.... Mixing In D Major Scale And D Mixolydian (G Major Scale) .....Then Go To The Actual 'Comfortably Numb' Backing Track And Understand Just Exactly What D.G Is Doing....Look At The 6-5-4-2 Chord Progression And Chase It..Then If You So Desire...You Can Nail This With Feeling And Understanding........The Related Theory In This Song Begs You To Understand It... Which Makes For A Better Experience...And Don't Forget To Bend Those Notes..... Anyone Can Just Blindly Whiz Up And Down In Bm..The Solos In This Song Played By David Gilmour Are Played With Huge Passion And Emotion.....He Rarely Plays It The Same Twice...There Are Many Alternative Routes All Related To One Result........Great Impression Of A Great Artist At Work With A Great Piece Of Music.
Actually it's a backing track. So Technically it's a cover of the solo in comfortably numb and it's not even the same cord progression really. It may have the same sound but it's not even the same melody really. Having said that It doesn't need to be copy writen.
Just the basic facts. Can you show me where it hurts? Ahhhh nothing better than some jamming after a 2 hour afternoon calculus class. Clear my head of all the anxiety and anger and frustrations of the day and sleep like a fucking baby!
Good work on putting together the track. This isn't really a PF "style" backing track, though; it's just a straight-up PF backing track of the second solo chord progression for Comfortably Numb. I was hoping for an original composition that captured the PF sound without actually being one of their songs. From the comments there seem to be a few others looking for that, too. Also, you don't have to add the word "style" to avoid copyright infringement, you can just say "backing track".
Do you know anything? It is the same chord progression Bm A G F# E Just so u know) as comfortably numb verses... Not only that, the melody is identical. Do you actually know the song comfortably numb?
The way i see it is that isnt Pink Floyd STYLE that IS Pink Floyd. It's still pretty cool though. Is that some kind of computer program you create those backing tracks on? If so, what is it called?
I remember at one point I was learning Comfortably Numb in guitar lessons, and I saw the progression was in Bm, so I heard the background of this and thought that. Haha I saw your sarcasm
I'm not going to thumbs down you because it sucks when legitimate opinions (such as yours) get hidden due to too many thumbs downs. But, I disagree. I think the value of this backing track merits its public use, especially considering the number of half-assed live "Pink Floyd" solos I've heard. Besides, he/she does very explicitly give credit to the original artist (as if anyone was mistaken beforehand). Cheers, Barry
Comfortably numb, second solo. Love this chord progression. It always works in a marvellous way!
well folks to the ones that dont know that chord progression has been played many years before pink floyd , not talking about the lead or melody of the song many flamenco guitarist played that prog years ago its been done in a minor b minor ect. no one has full copyrights of progressions if that was so their would be no zz top stevie ray vaughn ect. every one has full rights to use that progression as long as they write their own melody, and trust me ur selling ur self short if u dont try to write ur own song with it pink floyd did not invent that progression u can play write whatever as long as u dont use the actual pink floyd track , if u google songs that sound like cn u will see that progression has been used long before , also thanks quantize for backing , folks just have fun with it , peace out
This is just Comfortably Numb
no shit
it is
they all are..
Well done
just??
Thanks for the feedback man. I'm very new to youtube. This was only my second serious video I ever put up. I appreciate the help man.
No wonder Gilmour was so good, this music makes it too easy! Great backing track, even on my acoustic I feel like a rock star!
Exercise: Play it at 1.25x speed, and then 1.5x, and then 2x. You get a different feel each time.
TheJofrica fuck off
Rubbish
I just had to say "STYLE" to avoid copyright infringement. It would also serve as a better title potentially drawing in more Pink Floyd fans. I play all the guitars and bass on all my songs and I use Superior Drummer 2.0 and Pro Tools 9 to mix.
jammed the solo to this for about 1/2 hr yesterday thanks it rocks
It's the backing track to comfortably numb's 2nd solo
Maybe you should just thank the person who create this backing track instead of talking about the voice you didn't like in the beginning.. just sayin'.. :)
Exactly, just press the right arrow once instead of insulting someone who is providing something for free..
I totally agree. In this day and age people have forgotten to be appreciative of others efforts. Enough Said.
i like this; very helpful; its not a "pink floyd style" backing track as much as it is just the chords from comfortably numb, but still very useful.
A big jam to the closing of Comfortably Numb. Excellent.
Didn't appreciate the explicite sound of over salivation in the mouth for the vocal introduction
Haaaaaaaa! Seriously
love the way u have written it
LOL
Sounded like an NPR broadcast
Partially Hydrogenated Lol no kidding.
If there was a love button I'd hit that too.
Good Mix. Loved the Gil Scott Heron and the backing tracks to play lead to. THANKS!!
Haha! Gotta be one of the greatest feelings just letting loose in an empty house with the amp set to 11!
Fantastic backing track, really well produced , loads of feel and so much fun to play along with, cheers

Wow! man Thanks! I knew it sounded familiar; but I just couldn't place it....
+Sam Adgo No it's not, It's missing the D,A and C,G, major chords when he sings about having fever as a child and hands like balloons etc.
+Paul L That's the final solo part
theacecombatmaster Maybe we're listening to different songs.
Excellent sound felt great to fly in the heavens

excellent thank you...!
Cool !
you're wrong, sorry to say..
this progression is:
Bm A G F#m Em - and back to Bm.
when you listen to the bass line there's no mistaking it.
Just the basic facts.
Can you show me where it hurts?

Do you know anything? It is the same chord progression Bm A G F# E Just so u know) as comfortably numb verses... Not only that, the melody is identical. Do you actually know the song comfortably numb?
Very nice, I've just numfortably come.
OFC it's Comfortably Numb - that's what makes it awesome! :D
Do I have permission to upload a video of me playing over this? I'll mention your channel and put the link to this video in the description.
Thanks for sharing!!!
Amazing thanks for uploading
The way i see it is that isnt Pink Floyd STYLE that IS Pink Floyd. It's still pretty cool though. Is that some kind of computer program you create those backing tracks on? If so, what is it called?
No ones home. Cranked!
Amazing track, Thanks sooooo much for making it and uploading it. It has helped me to really nail the solo and "feel" what I am playing.
The beginning is the same progression as the second solo section. I was being very sarcastic by the way! :P
I think it's cool that you did this. Thanks for making a backing track i can try to play a Floyd style solo on trumpet on lol.
Oh i gotcha. Good playing on guitars and creating other instruments.
Awesome track/I
Its comfortably numb
Hey man,
Do you mind if I use this track for an instagram video?
Thank you
NEW EXTENDED VERSION WILL BE UPLOADED TODAY! HALF AN HOUR OF REMASTERED GOODNESS!
This is awesome, thanks so much. Awesome track to jam with!
S0 GOOD.
Hello is there anybody in there??
just nod if you can hear me
IS THERE ANYBODY HOME?? Love this song, one of my all time favourites.
tenodogblu definately have to agree there, I've spent countless hours learning the solo(s) to near perfection... I just can't seem to get enough of it
me too, but i also play a lot of blues, in fact I'm doing it right now!! LOL, take care my friend.
great work, thanks.
it only goes untill ---oh wait i get it now lol you clever little boy
I remember at one point I was learning Comfortably Numb in guitar lessons, and I saw the progression was in Bm, so I heard the background of this and thought that. Haha I saw your sarcasm
The First chord in the outro jam of Comfortably numb is B sus 2 not a full minor triad with the minor 3rd.
This is already a pink floyd song, its called comfortably numb
Apologies, I misunderstood your comment originally. I thought you meant the whole song, in which case you just forgot the C. :)
I hadn’t speakers all the way up ⬆️ and I hear “Pink Floyd backing track in b minor” lol
Da usare: Scala di Si minore naturale, Si minore armonica, Si minore pentatonica, Si minore pentablus! A tratti Si maggiore pentatonica.
i think thats an awesome idea!
I'm not going to thumbs down you because it sucks when legitimate opinions (such as yours) get hidden due to too many thumbs downs. But, I disagree. hello hello?
it's the backing track of comfortably numb
Brilliant! Thank you, baby
Haha so is this for the beginning or didn't the second solo of the song use something in Bm? I forgot.
Not one bit lol! Check out the new version for better quality.
I read it and just knew it was comfortably numb inspired, lol :P
Much appreciated sir.
whatever is right... people have more important things to worry about when playing along to this track...
the chord C is in another part of the song, in this part chords are Bm A G D Em Bm :)
Its already a song lol. Its comfortably numb
Wow!
