I was confused about why this figure didn't come with the shields but with that damn staff instead and I think I've figured it out. The "rolled up sleeve" look was from earlier on in the film. Once Cap has the double shields he's wearing two fancy looking bracers that cover his entire forearm. In order to keep the rolled up sleeve look they elected to not include the shields. Or more likely they're going to pull a MK 50 and release a second version with the shields at a later date.
@@quitwin They definitely did, same with Iron Spider, The leg tips And his web-shooters are wrong, the web shooters are wrong on every version of the Iron Spider because for even the marvel legends it's the Homecoming version with the blue and gold web-shooters, so far I think only the hot toys and the Mezco Iron Spider that's been showed have got the film accurate big gold web shooters right. Weird but the more I look into costumes for stuff the more a realise companies get it wrong, the Rogue One Vader hot toy is wrong and at that price tag it's ridiculous. But all the promo pictures or him are wrong too so meh, who knows.
He did a review for the Age of Ultron Ironman. I thought it looked awesome, until I saw his review and saw how wobly it was. A shame. I MIGHT get it in the future, considering it’s cheaper, but I’m more into getting the SH Figuarts Iron Man figures.
Yeah they do make some they made a better avengers infinity war captain America with two shield and also made a mafex iron spider and a mafex thor which they look awesome
For me, this face sculpt does a great job capturing Steve from Infinity War, much better than the Marvel Legends figure. I'm just disappointed at the lack of Wakandan shields. It's nice to see that he scales fairly decently with Marvel Legends. I expected him to be much smaller.

Could you explain (in a video or in this comment) why you heat the joints right after getting the figure? A figure should be built well enough not to have to be heated right out of the box in fear of breaking an arm off.
Hey D, do you recommend giving Figuarts figures the hot water/blow drying treatment to the joints to losen them after getting them out of the box? I only do this with NECA figures since QC can be wild, but I’ve never done so for my Figuarts stuff. I noticed my Wonder Woman from Figuarts has tight joints so I’m wondering if you’d recommend doing the hot water thing to it as well before it ends up breaking. Thanks.

Not the same Cap uniform at Infinity War but at this point I just want one good Captain America, especially if the head is unmasked. If we could get a First Avenger Cap too (not the one selling war bonds) I'd be all over that.

Thanks for the review & your opinion on the fig. IMO the suit & body is best to-date of all the Cap.'s & the head is better proportioned on this one than Civil War (where head looked too small). The face isn't as good a likeness as say Star Lord but it still looks like the actor. Overall I think it looks pretty good & definitely worth the price over ML as the head sculpt on that version is weak. Like you noted, you can just swap the Wakonda shield from ML version or Cap.'s normal shield from the upcoming ML 10 Years Pk. of Cap. & X-Bones to use for this one & your Golden. Would have preferred another head with the mask & Cap.'s normal shield but apparently SHFA elected to go cheap on the accessories for this Cap. which unfortunately is not customer friendly.
I dunno why Chris Evans is such a hard fellow to get right in figures...not even Hot Toys completely get his face imo. Having said that, he's my favorite character in the MCU so I hope they keep releasing SHF of him...I'm betting on Avengers 4 Steve Rogers being the ultimate 1/12 SHF. The one thing I do love about SHF AoU Captain America that no other Cap figure gets is the additional screaming face for action poses. It's wonderful and fixes the problem of all steve rogers figures being too stoic or unexpressive.
That spear looks really half-assed by Figuarts standards. Hasbro and Hot Toys both managed to include proper accessories for Cap, was information withheld from Bandai or something?
It would be real nice if figuarts came out with $90 figures that dont need custom heads. They are on point with everything and then slack on the heads, if they have to raise em 15 buck whatever but I dont wanna have to spend the same amount I spent on the figure, on a custom head. Not gonna lie I have seen some good customs but they will always be $$$ cause they aren't mass produced. Sorry to complain about the figure but amazing review!

I feel like they worked off concept art, and the shields may have been an after thought.

Wow. Sucks that it didn't come with more accesories because this is the best looking Nomad figure that has been released.

What did you do with his joints? Any benefit? I always have problem with ball joint.
Is there a guide somewhere to properly heating up joints to loosen them, or to widen peg holes, ect?

What I uses is model grease for the joints, but only a little bit of it.
Have rush to work suspicion, original face added beard to change hairstyle.
