@James Norris But back in the days, toybiz really put in a lot of effort into their details, sculpt and paint and yet still include accessories and comic book and a nice good quality packaging, if toybiz could do it for a cheaper price even if adjusted for inflation, I don’t see why Hasbro can’t just put in alittle more effort and work into their figures like on this figure, the Spider-Man ones are always so bad

I never thought I would see the day where a Marvel Legends is comparable if not better than sh figuarts. Also, because my local Walmarts are terrible, I had to purchase this on the secondary Market paying scalper prices. #Unparraleledsdcc2019
That really sucks! I traveled my entire city looking for mine and I got lucky to find it. However, my local Walmart is in the process of remodeling so I think they still haven't stocked them up yet
I paired 19 dollars for my marvel legends Cap at a Walmart.
getoutofthematrix one thing I think they’ll be ahead of for a long time is the Iron Man figurearts, but yeah, Hasbro has been stepping up their games for the most wanted figures.
Wow I found like 5 in my Walmart I had to buy two and I went the next day and it was out of stock
Given the price points of the two figures...and their head sculpts...I'd say the Marvel Legends Cap is the way to go. That being said, I sort of like the look of the Figuarts Cap more....to my eyes its cleaner sculpt is just easier to look at. #Unparalleledsdcc2019
But that Shf head sculpt is terrible tho
His face is hard to look at, Long big Nose Cap is what the figuarts version is
I skipped on the SH Figuarts and managed to get the Worthy Legends Cap. I am so happy with it. And for the price its awesome. I did not have an unmarried Steve or Moljnir so well pleased.
I thought the Sh Figuarts one wasn’t bad at all in the beginning
But now that I have Marvel Legends, and got to compare them closely, I love the Marvel Legends one a lot more than the Figuarts now
I've always thought the "high quality feel" of Figuarts and Mafex really just feels frail. I'm always scared to push an import too far, but I'd throw a Legends down the stairs without concern.
Yeah, I've never been a big fan of having too many extra hands. Its a cool idea but having too many hands gets hard to keep track of or who's hands belong to who, etc.
Extra hands are great by sometimes its overkill.

It is good to have both Marvel legends and S.H if you are a stop motion creator because if you don't want to break the Marvel legends for a very hard stunt than you have a stunt double.
I didn’t know how rare the Hasbro worthy cap would be so I gave it to my little brother to borrow and he destroyed it.
Hasbro NAILED this figure perfectly. When I got mine I was thinking that it was indeed better than the SHFiguarts and I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought that

Tip: on the marvel legends cap instead of putting the shield though the arm since you cant really see the hand put the time travel hand shield hand on and make him hold the shield without tearing the plastic

Personally I like the figuarts better. I feel like the head cowl is too thick on the legend and the body is too muscular for a movie cap.
Very awesome comparison, Can't believe SHfiguarts has their 3rd or 4th take (not sure) on Cap but I cant still see the resemblance of Chris Evans.
100% agreed, man. I have both, I caught SHF Cap for $55 on Amazon Japan but I wish he was at least 15% more bulky. I prefer SHF MCU for the most part besides MAFEX Spidey, but yeah if it wasn't for the pins and not perfect paint, the Legends one could be almost perfect.

I like posing the figuarts more and I like putting the headsculpt from the marvel legends cap wintersoldier cap on the figuarts cap it's a good upgrade . I wish marvel legends endgame head was tad bit smaller so I can use that one . Both versions look great either way.
The Marvel Legends one is for me.
I LOVE the first ten years civil war cap! It’s just amazing. I think the first ten years one is the second best cap on the list.

at the end of the day when the ML joints start to gummy and loose, you will be glad you have the SHF. neither of them looks like Chris Evans anyway, but i prefer the high quality and feel of the SHF. will just purchase a 3rd party sculpted head later on for the SHF. the hammer i can just use the IW cap's hand and other 1/12 scale hammer. the ML is the better buy, but SHF is still overall a better figure.
The Marvel Legends one is better by alot. I just think that the sculpt and paint is so much better on it. Infact. I like it so much that if the Figuarts one was the same price as the Marvel Legends one then i'd still go with the Marvel Legends one. It's a really good figure.
Only thing I don't recall you flagging re: SHF features is the ability to wear shield on back and also grab shield in a throwing position, neither of which are included on the ML. Those are pretty important features if you are a Cap. fan IMO. Agree the ML has a much better face likeness to CE but I wouldn't say the body sculpt is better (even though more buff) as the sculpt cuts in the torso & top of the legs on the ML are pretty cheap looking IMO as are the ball holes on the arms & no paint of the clasps on the straps on the chest on the ML. Other than that think you pretty much nailed the other differences of significance. I like both figures & plan on keeping both. Thanks for the comparison as always interesting to see these.
All most mcu legends need is a quick blast with a high quality(model paints) dull coat and they come out looking like high end import figures. They're less money and built to last. I've become really tight with my money when it comes to imports now, only opting for certain characters and they have to be near perfect in their execution. I rather buy mezco figures with my money than flimsy pieces of plastic that average around 90-100 bucks.
Should go back and watch Endgame again because these scales are there on his suit , exactly as in the movie. As they did to homage the classics characters. As Iron-man has yellow shine arms as in the old classics comics as well.
Very good review on both of the Captain Americas I agree with you about the shields that should have gave us two broken Shields but how could they think they could have made those Shields and it could have came out safe
Figuarts Shield looks awful, not accurate at all.......looks too plain and the star is way too big

Grats on picking up the Legends fig... Nice comparison as always.. I haven't seen that in person yet... And I probably wouldn't, just like every other Wal-mart exclusive Legends... The worst thing is, it's sold out in their website.
If I'm going to say something about this comparison, I'd say that the Legends shield is huge, I wish they used the Cap Wolf shield instead... But other than that, the Legends wins the looks and accessories... Figuarts has better articulation as expected... But then again, who prioritizes the articulation over the looks of the figures? That sure isn't me...
I always prefer the big, muscular body, because that's what Super Heroes are
When I first started collecting again about 6 years ago I got interested in collecting things like sh figuarts and mafex, glad I never did to be honest, Hasbro are doing a great job on their MCU and six inch star wars figures, I'm more than happy just buying them.
The marvel legends one for sure wins. Although SHF is a lot more sleek of a figure in its design I think the marvel legends one captures the look that endgame gave us a lot better. I’ve seen people repaint the scales on the legends figure and it looks amazing. Marvel legends version is pretty good of an endgame figure but if you want to go the extra mile you can definitely make your marvel legends figure look amazing with some repaint.

#Unparalleledsdcc2019 I mean Marvel Legends Cap has Mjolnir and just looks better overall. I was gonna get the SHF one until they announced the Hasbro Cap and I bought that and I have zero regrets. Such a dope figure overall and my favourite MCU figure.

I usually like SHF more than ML. But for this one, Marvel Legends is better.

@@legendscollector2285 actually you are wrong the ML chest scale and everything are correct his stature and buffiness is accurate. Both of them are missing shinyness on the scales and ML is missing avengers symbol on left shoulder thats all..
Great review man! I have the worthy cap on the way from a buddy, I do plan to paint that chin strap darker, even if it's accurate that color erks me lol. Overall though yeah the ML is great and the SHF has quality things happening but for figuarts it's below par.

damn! the shf cap looks like a bootleg compare to Legends cap! Hasbro really did a great job on this. Plus the likeness of Chris Evans is really good.
One gripe I have for the SH Figuarts is that he doesn’t look as bulky as the legends and he looks a little skinny

I definitely prefer the legends over the figuarts. The only regret about not getting the figuarts was buying/preordering the Nota Studio headsculpt
Great comparison video but the Marvel Legends makes the SH look like a KO. I'm so glad I was able to score a legends Capt. And pick threw them the best paint jobs on them. Literally had them side by side comparing the paint on the head and face.

Tbh the Marvel Legends face looks like the new cap in the Falcon and the Winter Soldier (but only the one with the mask)
Figuarts did good with civil war cap. But they screwed up with the endgame one.
I think the SHF has a bit more realistic proportions, and the helmet sits on his face a little more flush since it’s not a separate piece. I also like that they painted the scales.
Everything else though, Marvel Legends wins. Mjolnir and a fantastic Chris Evans unmasked Steve Rogers head? That’s a big deal to me. And as you say, it does also have nicer colors. And of course I’m an ML collector so between the two I really only could get the Legends since he fits best. Plus he’s just $20!
Gonna have to agree that the legends is better. I do own the AOU Cap and to me is small

Great comparison video 👍... I have to agree there figuarts looks like a higher end figure BUT if a $20 is somewhat on par why not go for the cheaper option. Especially when there are plenty figures coming out where that extra money could go. Im not trying to crap on the figuarts they do a good job, I just think legends should get some props.

I personally think the head on the figuarts is a lot more accurate to Chris evans, the shape of the face and the eyes. But I guess that speaks to how good they both are as it could go either way depending on who you ask.

You did forget to mention that the marvel legends has a thigh swivel too where the figuarts does not
I honestly prefer the Hasbro ver. It’s darker, bigger, the sculpting seems better, and I prefer the face
