I like many others miss As The World Turns, and Guiding Light. TeleNext screwed these old favorites. TeleNext = TeleDeath for both soaps. Now the networks put on brainless talk shows, and game shows.

When the soap got good again with quicker pacing and using of veterans.

This theme was boring loved the 80s theme
This intro is simply stupid. Three people toward the end of it get a mere _fraction_ of a second on screen-- while the rest receive a nice amount? Incredible. And one of those quickies was Lucinda, of all characters. Those actors should have raised a massive fuss over this nonsense.

This is a ridiculous comment. There were five or six versions and they switched characters around. I really like that they accentuate the drum beats there - the section you're talking about - with each character, four in all.
@@matthewcloranmusic7745 I didn't know they balanced it out by switching characters around in different versions; you could see my dismay if this was the only intro they played at the time. I didn't watch it in the 2000s so I was unaware. So maybe now my comment doesn't seem quite so ridiculous.
Plus, the drum beats thing you mentioned would be better if they had done more of it, not just in the final seconds. It's effective in its way.
