Holy shit people that commented on this video. I'm sorry I'm American. We do actually have taste though. Most of us hate Michael Bay just as much as you do
The funny thing is as much as I dig high quality movies like Amélie I still enjoy dumb explosions by Michael bay. There's a difference between over praising something and enjoying something.
I have celebrated my 30th birthday in Paris. It was my best 4 day holiday and my best ever birthday. One year after, i saw the film and i was crying and shouting " i've been there ! " every 10 minutes during the entire film.... It has become a tradition of mine now. Celebrating my birthday in a different country in a different city wondering around, taking pictures, meeting people, seeing the world(searching for my treasure and Fatima-alchemist quote). It was soo cool, i was on the Arc De Triomphe on my birthday opening champagne and at 20:00 the Eiffel Tower lights went on just as i had raised my glass of champagne =)
I've been in 'Cafe des 2 Moulins' in May 2014. It looks nothing like in the movie (that was obviously a sound stage in a studio) but in the toilet area they made a little Amelie Museum which is really cool :)
That 'break the 4th wall' thing they did on the bike is startling and awesome. I dont really make time to watch movies but I tuned in to a watchmojo episode that showed this scene and it actually makes want to see this . The woman was exceptionally lovely back then and is equally lovely today
I've been traveling in blistering winds, scorching deserts, through the dragons cave, and up to the room of the tallest tower just to find this movie online.WHERE CAN I WATCH THIS?!?!?!?!
You know, I was doing so many horror marathons before i watched this movie, so I thought that was just me - there were so many parts in this movie where she looked at the camera and i just instinctively hid my face. >_
I watched it cold earlier this year. It was on sale in iTunes. By cold, I mean I knew nothing about it. From the beginning to the end, there was so much to see and hear and it was all good. I judge a movie primarily by how many times I want to see it again for stuff I missed and for the pure enjoyment. I have watched it 3 times now and I never get tired of it, even knowing what is going to happen, I await for the scene to develop. Some movies I thought were great, like Pulp Fiction and Apocalypse Now Redux, but could not take it a second time. Amelie is something to enjoy and savor, like a fine wine.
Utonium Ph. D. I'd say to anyone who wants to watch the film and checked this trailer out to see if it might be worth watching, don't watch it right away, distract yourself with other things for at least a month, then, if you hear about this movie again, watch it. Just give yourself time to forget what you have seen here. Except that look on her face. She is so enchanted by everything.
Actually, not only they share the same name, but Audrey's Tautou mother named she because of Hepburn... A good fate for an actress. Destiny had some strange shemes sometimes... :)
you could almost drop the female addition and just say that's what depp looks like anyhow [except she's waaay more beautiful!!] such a charming film filled with the French OW YU SAY joie de vivre !!
i dont speak or understand french but I am interested in this movie so does it come in english or dubbed or subtitled?any info will be greatly appreciated
Amelie, an imaginative but lonely young lady, convinces herself to do good deeds for others. Now, others want to do a very good deed for her. Will she let them?
This movie was actually pretty good. I loved the cinematography and the score was simply mesermising. I highly recommend this movie because of it's unique potrayl of a romantic comedy.
Está película la he visto 3 veces y me sigue encantando, el trailer está bien por qué no le hace spoiler ala peli. Yo le doy un 11/10 me gustó mucho con aquellos pequeños detalles de la vida que había olvidado c':
i dont get it... this trailer tells me nothing about the movie. looks good cinematically, and the musics great, but i just want a little tease as to some of the plot beforehand
drinkallthesunshine Basically, Amelie is incredibly shy due to neglect in her childhood. One day she decides to start doing good deeds for people, but because she's so shy she creates elaborate schemes in order to do the good deed without being associated with it.
can someone please explain to me the plot/meaning of this movie? (Not being rude) but it's on Netflix and it says it's about a girl returning toys to the original owner? And it's rated R? But the trailer is misleading or it's just Netflix idk
I believe it's about an introverted women helping thoes around her to make there lives better without taking credit. But wont help herself because she to shy. It's a great movie. It's best for you to understand by watching.
Christine E rated that way for a brief sex scene. The netflix description is accurate in a way that spoils none of the movie. This trailer, however, kinda ruins it with it's accuracy. It's one of my favorite films, you really should give it a try.
Christine E if you haven't watched it yet, the plot itself is filled with ties on a quirky girl's unique approach to making the lives of the people around her more uplifting and exciting. its filled with artistic metaphors on emotional psych, which is shown in an goofy and eccentric tone. when I finished it with my parents, I told them it was a pleasantly strange movie. it may be hard to embrace at first, but at the end of it you'll know whether it appeals to you or not. Good luck!
Love it! Can imagine this does not go well with the American audience, it's too creative/imaginative for them, they like the cookie cutter Hollywood shit.
Yes, it's a very specific chromatic effect wich is the "signature" of Jean-Pierre Jeunet (the movie director). The photography is one of the plots of the story. It's made in purpose. The vivid colors are used depending of the mood or the different parts in the lives of the main characters. I you are a photography pro or even amateur, you should like it. JP Jeunet is the director of "a very long engagement" with Marion Cotillard, Audrey Tautou, Jodie Foster... and use the same technic but with more yellow because it's about the WW1. It's a little bit like a moving old pictures.
I really wanna watch this movie. We talked about it in my French class, since we talk about French pop culture a LOT. I wish we could watch it. Too bad it's rated R.
Well, honestly it's probably rated are because of a few brief sex scenes (I can count three) that never give much away (I mean really, just the back of naked people or a boob somewhere), but if it disturbs you I get that. It's a truly amazing, beautiful and unique movie though so if you can get passed that do watch it ^^
The dvd is with English subtitles anyway, and after a few moments you don't really notice - you're too busy enjoying it :) It's the story of a young woman who, following a string of circumstances, goes on her merry way of helping others, finding herself, and finding love. I don't want to say too much, but it really is worth your time :)
Lumos Layla No problem :) That's so odd, it's been an Amelie evening here too haha. It never gets old, and I can watch it again and again. I hope you love it all :) I didn't want it to end xD
for french standard is 15+, but most french movies could be r-rated in other countries. (lol). there's a little sex scenes, scene played in a sex toy shop, and use of sex terms, though the the story of amelie is not really all about that. i guess even a mature 13 yo actually can watch this movie.
Someone please help me, because i don't know what's the sens in this movie :( About what is it? Love? photography? or maybe art? xd (Sorry for my english)
I still haven't watched this one, but i can recommend you - Moonrise Kingdom; The dreamers. I hope you like them tho they aren't the typical movies you'd see on the cinema.

it's 3:08 a.m. and dark and I'm all alone and I'm not gonna lie. I was super little when I saw the cover of this movie and for some reason it always freaked me out. I was listening to clair de something and in my recommendations was this. So I pressed it and now I'm creeped out even more! What is this movie even about? (I was 1 years old when this came out so it's amazing how I remember seeing this)
Looks like a fan-created trailer for an Oscar-nominated, BAFTA-winning film that ranks #77 on IMDb, is certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, and is the 6th highest-grossing non-English language film in history, but that's just a guess.
The soundtrack alone is a reason to watch this movie
I've only seen the poster of the movie till now, always thought it would be scary because the way she smiles and the colors used were eerie.
just watch it and u'll know
+asil It's not eerie, it's very funny!
My god... This movie is simply flawless...
Holy shit people that commented on this video. I'm sorry I'm American. We do actually have taste though. Most of us hate Michael Bay just as much as you do
he's good tho
Valar morghulis.
Winter is Coming.
Hey man. Yur country has such a variety of different people and tastes.....
The funny thing is as much as I dig high quality movies like Amélie I still enjoy dumb explosions by Michael bay. There's a difference between over praising something and enjoying something.

how does this trailer give too much away; I haven't seen the film and I don't even know what is happening.
It reveals the end... But if you haven't watched it, you should!
This is pretty brilliant. The trailer is very much like the movie in terms of style. Good job!
Фильм не просто шедевр. В нём шедеврален каждый кадр. С любого места. Чистое наслаждение...
Absolutely the best movie I've seen in a long time. It didn't lack a single thing.
Fantastic film, very artistic, superb sountrack and Audrey is sublime.
I've watched this edited trailer so many times now , great work Michelle , just fantastic
Still one of the greatest movies ever made, nothing matches Amelie's brilliance.
This trailer sucks but trust me, the movie was great!
It's not the real trailer
Sucks?? this trailer is surreal pure art
Is this done with english subtitles?
your singing face sucks, but go off lol
Never get tired of this movie
I've been in 'Cafe des 2 Moulins' in May 2014. It looks nothing like in the movie (that was obviously a sound stage in a studio) but in the toilet area they made a little Amelie Museum which is really cool :)
It was shot there- but it's been totally renovated, and now hardly looks like the same place.
idahostudios Oh cool. I didn't know that. Thanks :)
EdEditzI love seeing little conversations like this in the comments.
That 'break the 4th wall' thing they did on the bike is startling and awesome. I dont really make time to watch movies but I tuned in to a watchmojo episode that showed this scene and it actually makes want to see this .
The woman was exceptionally lovely back then and is equally lovely today
She reminds me of Willie wonka from Charlie and the chocolate factory 0.0
I still can't tell what this movie is about any more than it's about her.
c'est vrai
Jonathan Gorr It's about her always helping the people around them so they can be happy; but she struggles to do the same for herself.
This is my favorite movie! I relate so much to Amelie... and my name is Emily!
My Name Is Amelie XD
A masterpiece.
She looks like the Willy Wonka from the newer Charlie and the chocolate factory
she looks like amelie poulain
lol
Nahh she is really pretty
can you please tell me what this song is? please???
L'Autre Valse D'Amelie by Yann Tierson
+zach leetch this movie had a great soundtrack. fuck i love french music
it is actually by Yann Tiersen for the French movie Amelie. The piece is called 'Comptine d'un autre ete'. The movie is wonderful btw!
I've been traveling in blistering winds, scorching deserts, through the dragons cave, and up to the room of the tallest tower just to find this movie online.WHERE CAN I WATCH THIS?!?!?!?!

Johnny Guerrero netflix!
Sadly I don't have Netflix
Johnny Guerrero megashare.sc/watch-amelie-online-TVRrd01nPT0
Or solarmovie.so
Her smile creeps me out so much but I loved the movie
You know, I was doing so many horror marathons before i watched this movie, so I thought that was just me - there were so many parts in this movie where she looked at the camera and i just instinctively hid my face. >_
Ikr she would just turn and stare you down 😂
I watched it cold earlier this year. It was on sale in iTunes. By cold, I mean I knew nothing about it. From the beginning to the end, there was so much to see and hear and it was all good. I judge a movie primarily by how many times I want to see it again for stuff I missed and for the pure enjoyment. i've already seen the movie several times but for people that have't seen it... this trailer spoils the movie a little ( the ending is in here)
***** your profile picture is extraordinarily cute.
Utonium Ph. D. ah damn it, well I guess I'll see the movie anyway
Utonium Ph. D. I'd say to anyone who wants to watch the film and checked this trailer out to see if it might be worth watching, don't watch it right away, distract yourself with other things for at least a month, then, if you hear about this movie again, watch it. Except that look on her face.
She is so enchanted by everything.
Don't be mean to the Prof. please, hes try to do a good thing. This is a bad trailer, as far as the purpose of trailers go.
Thank you! You saved me!
best movie ever !
Said Boulbaroud lol
I agree
gracias Michelle Trujillo!
This is a beautiful film. The commercial is a really poor depiction of it..
I always forget how much I love this film
I really want to watch this movie now because of the awesome trailer! :)
I just saw this movie, wonderful piece of art, that includes the soundtrack too :)
Just now finished watching this. The kisses at the end were adorable :D

hahhha
Her name is actually Audrey
Actually, not only they share the same name, but Audrey's Tautou mother named she because of Hepburn... A good fate for an actress. Destiny had some strange shemes sometimes... :)
She looks like female Johnny Depp.
you could almost drop the female addition and just say that's what depp looks like anyhow [except she's waaay more beautiful!!] such a charming film filled with the French OW YU SAY joie de vivre !!
Mei Salcedo ahah Willy Wonka

+pvtrichter88 Can you please tell about the movie? I can't underestand her meaning
Amelie, an imaginative but lonely young lady, convinces herself to do good deeds for others. Now, others want to do a very good deed for her. Will she let them?
I really love this vid.. although it's not the official trailer. Amazing. Love this movie
Aren't they supposed to feature the main idea of the movie in the trailer ? Or is it just some romance with no core thing in it ?
This looks like a fan made trailer. The official trailers on the DVD are totally different.
Acting is such a beautiful art
Well i wanna say that is the best movie i saw
This is the film that reminds me of the painter Linda Kourkolis the MOST!!!
Do you know of Linda Kourkolis???
My all time favorite movie!!!
mine too.
3
European Anne Hathway meets Tim Burton with a splash of Silver Linings playbook
This movie was actually pretty good. I loved the cinematography and the score was simply mesermising. I highly recommend this movie because of it's unique potrayl of a romantic comedy.
I absolutely adore this movie.
Wish I could watch this!!! The musical (in my opinion) was great and I want this to be better 😀😀
My favorite movie for ever! ♡ it's amazing... And Audrey Tautou is most beatiful ♥
Please help, what's the song 0:13 - 0:19 Please :c
One of my favorite films. Don't watch this, it's a spoiler.
I loved this film so much, I named my daughter after her. xX~Amelie~Xx

cestkevvie Couldn't have put it better myself, one of my most favourite movies of all time!
Wow, her voice was so hi pitched in this compared to Beautiful Lies 2010
the name of the song is comptine d'un autre été
I love this movie!!! But this trailer gives too much away!!
ella no es la actriz de el codigo da vinci?
Si ella es👌
So like where can I meet this guy?
Est-ce que c'est un comédie?
can someone please explain to me the plot/meaning of this movie? (Not being rude) but it's on Netflix and it says it's about a girl returning toys to the original owner? And it's rated R? But the trailer is misleading or it's just Netflix idk

THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT COMMENTED HELPED A LOT 😊😊😊
Love it! Can imagine this does not go well with the American audience, it's too creative/imaginative for them, they like the cookie cutter Hollywood shit.
wtf are you talking about, this was popular in the US.
I'm 15 years old. I was born in 2001 so I wasn't able to watch this movie. Do you think I should?
I watched this movie at 12 haha...you can definitely watch it at 15
Weirdest fucking trailer i ever seen
American trailers are more weirder
megastacker727 So is American grammar.
megastacker727 I'm American and you make my people look dumb. :[
yung bacardi the most bizarre that I have seen in my life is that Americans use their brain.
The film makes no sense
If I were to buy this movie would it come with English Subtitles or will I have to know French to understand it?
Both DVD and Blu-ray have english subtitles. You can currently pick this up off Amazon for around 7 bucks.
u wanna watch this with subtitles, because the audio is all in french
I love this film
lovely film, poised to be a classic
Analysing it from a photography perspective I'm noticing a repeating restricted green, deep red and blue tone throughout.
Yes, it's a very specific chromatic effect wich is the "signature" of Jean-Pierre Jeunet (the movie director). The photography is one of the plots of the story. It's made in purpose. What is the song used in the trailer?
it's from the original score of Amélie by Yann Tiersen
where find he total film?
I don't get it
I really wanna watch this movie. We talked about it in my French class, since we talk about French pop culture a LOT. I wish we could watch it. Too bad it's rated R.

I'm wondering whether to watch this, I'm an English speaker and my French is very poor, what is it about?
The dvd is with English subtitles anyway, and after a few moments you don't really notice - you're too busy enjoying it :) It's the story of a young woman who, following a string of circumstances, goes on her merry way of helping others, finding herself, and finding love. I don't want to say too much, but it really is worth your time :)
Steve H thank you :) I've started watching it, I absolutely love it so far, it's so bizarre and the music is great haha
Lumos Layla
No problem :) That's so odd, it's been an Amelie evening here too haha. It never gets old, and I can watch it again and again. I hope you love it all :) I didn't want it to end xD
this is kinda a modern renditon of Zazie Dans le Metro, right? i can definitely see the influence.
Sublime. Perfect.
but the soundtrack!!?
This film is weird and French. But its great!
This movie is fantastic
1:37 that is called the Passy bridge I'm sure and the station it just left is Bir-Hakeim
I've walked across it😀
That music
What age rating is the film?
for french standard is 15+, but most french movies could be r-rated in other countries. (lol). there's a little sex scenes, scene played in a sex toy shop, and use of sex terms, though the the story of amelie is not really all about that. i guess even a mature 13 yo actually can watch this movie.
I think is pretty safe for children from 13/14 years old
stunning film!
I loved that movie!
Someone please help me, because i don't know what's the sens in this movie :( About what is it? Love? photography? or maybe art? xd (Sorry for my english)

HOW IS THIS A 2001 MOVIE?! 1080p?
idk what this movie is about but ima watch it
excelente película
I love this movie.
have not yet seen the movie,
There are many similarities to this movie Amanda Knox and Raffaelle watched the night Merideth Kercher was murdered. The taking of the key, the hit in back of the head, the running down a street and banging into a couple, the sword, the rock breaking a window, the obsession of her lover, the poisoning of someone, the barista she was. Odd coincidences.
This movie couldn't be more unrelated to that case.
it's 3:08 a.m. and dark and I'm all alone and I'm not gonna lie. I was super little when I saw the cover of this movie and for some reason it always freaked me out. I was listening to clair de something and in my recommendations was this. So I pressed it and now I'm creeped out even more! What is this movie even about? (I was 1 years old when this came out so it's amazing how I remember seeing this)
It's the story of a girl who discovers how to be happy with herself. Later, she discovers love too.
Watch the movie and it won't scare you anymore!
THE FUCK DID I JUST WATCH?!?
Haha, it's actually an amazing movie but I'll have to admit that the trailer is not the best ~
It is a very thought-provoking film, really. Take the time to watch it and analyse it.
Looks like a fan-created trailer for an Oscar-nominated, BAFTA-winning film that ranks #77 on IMDb, is certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, and is the 6th highest-grossing non-English language film in history, but that's just a guess.
i came for the music~
she's so beautiful!
Très beau film!
check out more movies made by jean-pierre jeunet, they're really good!!
