glad to see im not the only one who starts the job with gloves on, then once they get torn up, just finishes without gloves and with bleeding fingers. love getting lube and grime in fresh cuts - hope it doesnt cause cancer lol

Glad you made this. I'm about to do mine in my gravel driveway. I'm not looking forward to this, but you made it look simple enough. Should be easy to do

Good luck! I must say, it was easier than I expected. It was a relief all bolts were accessible.

@projectfixit Once I had my breaker bar, everything went smooth.

Worst is if the bolts break off. I may be doing my son inlaw's 2004 Toyota sienna le. He just got the code for the 1st time and I cleared it if it comes back I will use chemicals , then replace o2 sensor then replace the catalytic converter last. Cheapest fix 1st. I just did a complete timing belt with all related components replacement after the timing belt failed. Got lucky no engine damage

thanks, very helpful video. I'm working through this cat replacement right now and appreciate the detail you showed in your video. Loved the engine revs with the cat off. :)

Do you need to add any gasket maker or is that enough

Thanks man! I got this one to do next. Did the cat last? No problems? I replaced bank 2 and it went out again.

As far as I know, the cat is still performing well. I will check with the owner to see if any O2 codes have reoccurred.

Start with the cheapest option 1st. Chemicals, o2 sensors, then catalytic converter replacement
