Indian conditions are not suitable for this type of high end vehicle. 70 lacs for chassis and approx 30 lacs for body, total comes to around 1cr. Earn and give to the government. Also this bus is has front engine.
Leyland was testing non ac multi axle bus for the past two years then it was scrapped..now they are using it to staff transport it seems, they are selling Normal town bus chassis for 14 lakhs and luxury bus chasis for 24 to 26 lakhs for Tamil nadu govt., bus body building cost around 10 to 15 lakhs..they are able to buy a new luxury non ac bus at 40. Lakhs and ac buses at 42 lakhs and local buses at 26 lakhs..this one is too expensive..
Ashok leyland shud have atleast provided an 300 hp engine and rear tag axle with steering and 6 cylinder engine, they have just elongated the chassis and provided an extra axle, with speed limited to 80kmph and 4 cylinder engine i wonder operator wud opt for 13.5m more compared to 15m
Leyland failed to bring Rear engine chassis, LONG CONNECTING ROD There itself half of the torque will loss, and mediam hp power,many complications... May be it will fail in market

The chassis has only 4 cylinder 248 bhp engine, it is underpowered (compared to 6 cylinder volvo's engine with same axle)..
