I was there and it was quite fun I’d say, though the crowds so need more excitement.
When the darts were played in Sydney years ago it was electric. Taylor threw a 9 darter and the crowd went off. It was definitely more entertaining.

Does anyone else think Luke Littler has let all of this go to his head? Everytime he's on the stage, he seems so genuinely unhappy & never gives his opponent a real handshake unless it's someone like Chris Dobey.
He is a great darts player, but at 17 he is still developing as a person.
I think its is his character, quiet, stoic and really focused. He hates losing that's for sure!!

Even the regular players averaged 90 or less apart from Gezzy who got 95 ish.
Maybe jet lag but they all seemed off it today.

You have got to love it. Everyone taking it as a given Wright would get beat seen multiple comments saying he wouldn’t win any games “down the pub” and then he goes and averages the highest out of any of the prem players😂 I assume it will now turn to Whitlock didn’t perform and not that Wright just played very well. Yes he’s getting older and has his doubling has gotten alot more inconsistent but people are quick to remember this guy is one of the best players of the professional era going wether you go on titles won or highest averages. He’s still a top professional darts player and I laugh when people are so quick to write him off🐍

What's the point of these matches only the the very top pros got the win. Same shit will happen in nz. It's dumb when the same people win.
It gives the local players the experience of playing top pros, the chance to cause an upset and be in the limelight, encouraging them to maybe push their own game to the next level just like Damon Heta has done. It's like cup football, lower league teams dream of taking a big scalp and making memories 🙂

I don't think it was very fair of the commentators to keep referring to Haupai, by his surname. When Rob Cross was throwing, They didn't refer to him as Cross.🤨
At 36:37 they do call him Cross. As well as several other times that weren't in these highlights. And they don't only refer to haupai by his surname, they use his full and first names quite a bit as well.
Ridiculous comment, how could this be unfair? What possible way could this be insulting or negative, it's really common in sports to be known predominantly by your surname (and the commentators don't just use his surname, but that's not the point). How often do you hear them calling Damon Heta 'Damon', for example? Genuinely can't believe you've managed to invent something to be offended by here :p

Very poor matches today, the Aussies just weren’t performing today, and not so much for the big guns either, i’m extremely disappointed with everyone on how they performed so far in this tournament because I know these players can perform 1000x better than what they did today on stage!!!
