I grew up watching the G1 Transformers and I saw the episodes where the Aerialbots and the Technobots were created but it's weird that they never did an episode about the origins of the Protectobots I always wondered did they already exist or were they built the same way as the Aerialbots were.
I think there was an episode for that but it was scrapped where the protectobots were almost dead but the Aerialbots did an energon transfusion which gave them combining powers
What a clumsy nervous fellow That,s doing this transformation. Just take Your time and do it correctly dude. You,re breaking the thing before it,s done.
I just got this and this video helped me with the combining part of the transformation. It’s a great looking Superion and aerialbots, but being off brand and not Hasbro, the individual bots can be a little off here and there as far as fittment and alignment goes. The paint job isn’t perfect either as you can see misprinted and mispainted areas. Overall for the price you pay, it’s pretty darn good. Hasbro lines are $300+ these days because it’s considered collectors item. This item, it’s like $50 total.

Whoever did this video got it all wrong the Aerialbots consisted of Silverbolt Air Raid SkyDive FireFlight and Slingshot they did not have a member who transformed into a helicopter and PowerGlide was not a member of the Aerialbots hell he wasn't even there on Cybertron when they were built and came online and the only Autobot combiner team I know of that has a team member that transforms into a helicopter are the Protectobots and his name was Blades and if I remember correctly he forms Defensor's right arm.
Combiner Wars didn't stick strictly to G1 canon. Alpha Bravo, the helicopter, was an alternate member, replacing Slingshot (Quickslinger in CW because they apparently couldn't trademark the original name), though Slingshot was released later for the people who wanted the G1-accurate teams. A lot of combiner teams in CW were like that; Rook replaced Groove, Offroad replaced Wild Rider, and so on.
