I think I'll need to get some Jurassic Park minifigs (specifically Dr Alan Grant and Dr Ellie Satler) to be scientists working at the museum and studying the dinosaur artefacts.

If I had the Jurassic minifigs I think I'd definitely add them to my display too

@@theskyguystudios It looks like you only display 'fleshies' in your city. Is that accurate? FWIW, that's how I populate my city. Not sure how cost-effective it is, since it means I give the yellow heads/hands that go with modular and city minifigs to my nephew. But I just like the consistency and I suppose the 'authenticity' of using 'fleshie' minfigs.

My favorite is easily the Jazz club

I love the Jazz Club, especially that interior. The exterior also pops and I love the signage and the angled entrance to it, but the Boutique Hotel just looks so much more unique and was so fun to put together.

Best is the LEGO Boutique Hotel for me. I have just purchased all three modulars recently.

Out of these three, I only have the Boutique Hotel. I plan to get the other two sets, eventually, but I actually want to get another Boutique Hotel first, and moc it into a larger hotel, with a downstairs restaurant (on the other side of the lobby), and a kitchen in place of the Gallery. I also want to add en suite bathrooms to all the rooms, which would mean replacing the smaller bedroom on the second floor. I've already converted the space beneath the staircase (where the bellhop trolley is supposed to go) into a smaller WC.
I think by expanding the hotel, I'll be able to also deal with the issue of ugly bare walls poking out the other side when set against other modulars.

That sounds like a cool expansion! Happy building :)

I don't see the point of the Tailor Shop as part of the Jazz Club. I guess TLG couldn't do a bar as part of the Jazz Club, as it would go against its rules, but I certainly intend to add a bar in place of the Pizzeria, to make the whole set feel more authentic, and convert the Tailor Shop into another dressing room or a sleazy hang-out for some patrons to gamble.

I agree the tailor shop does seem a bit random. I think those expansions definitely make a lot more sense! Good luck with them :)

@@theskyguystudios Thanks. Also, I appreciate your reviews. Very thorough. As an aside, do you ever modify your modulars/other Lego sets?
