The time you put into the intro to actually go and physically map the trail should be a new video standard; insanely high quality and really puts things into perspective.
BCPOV has been doing it for ages. I tweaked a few things, but inspired by Eric no doubt. Might do this more for rides like this. I wanted people to grasp how much ground we covered and to see the rugged terrain of the Motherlode. Thanks for noticing the extra effort!
Dude that sounds killer! That’s how it sounds!! You catch any shit for spreading the word on the trails you guys discover and highlight on RUclips? I was talking to a buddy of mine and told him he was a jackass cuz he or even myself wouldn’t populate those areas because I’d die even hiking my bike up those climbs!! You guys fucking rock I sit and watch these videos streaming on our living room tv with the family! Haha keep up the killer work.
Absolutely some of the best backcountry riding I've seen any where !!!! Great video ,you guys made it look easy I'm sure it wasn't! That's what it's all about right there!
Sikk sikk sikk! This is exactly why I love you guys. Not afraid to shred the primitive trails. That ridge spine was unreels!!! Ya boys!! Stoked for round 2!!!
Yea bud. This is some spectacularly solid content. And most folks won’t comprehend the gravity of ripping a truly desolate backcountry descent on such a big day out. You’re doing epic things for promoting this sport, at the highest level. Can’t wait for more Stan! Fuck yes!
Nice! Definitely a classic route, with mind-blowing descents, lung-bursting climbs and some demoralizing hike-a-bike! And those leaves this time of year make it extra interesting on the descents!
Holy shart! I used to moto these trails -well, the Sugar Pine ones at least. I remember seeing mountain bikers out there back then -circa 2001-2004. Looks like I gotta get back out there!
I’ve done a similar ride starting from Michigan Bluff on the Western States Trail, all of Trail 6 and back, except I was on my KTM 300. You guys are animals doing that trail on mountain bikes!
Nice! Love it that you left the reaction to the trail in the video. I love that feeling, so it's easy to relate. I love riding new trail, and it's especially good when you aren't expecting anything special, and it kicks ass. Great video! I'm guessing there's a bit of climb in the next one. ;-)
Thank you boys for that epic hard on . This place is now going to be one of the first rides I do. My aunt lives five minutes from that trail head. Needless to say I will be dreaming of this till I get there.
holy crap!! if that guy out in front was riding that trail for the first time blind he's like a freak!! great video guys looking forward to part 2 ( unless of course you come across a bad ass grizzly who is offended by mountain bikers screaming like bats out of hell through his/her turf :-))
Awesome video!! I don’t know if you guys have ever heard of Lyons dam revisor, but if you get the chance there are some sweet single tracks out there and I highly recommend riding them!
Pure MTB gold! Great trail and riding as we've come to expect from you guys. What watch are you wearing? Thinking about getting a GPS/HR one myself, mostly for MTB, ski-touring, hiking, etc.
So rad.. definitely looks like a bucket list ride! One question - what do you guys run tire/insert/wheel - wise? They seem to hold together at your Mach-turbo speeds over chunk much better than me with my more pedestrian velocity
The stoke is real!! Thanks for bringing it to the people! Route is saved and ready for a future epic.
