- In the Lord of the Rings, the Olog-hai were a breed of advanced troll that served Sauron in Middle-earth. They were bred by the dark lord in the late Third Age, possibly with the intent of improving upon and making them less vulnerable to sunlight, similar to Saruman's breeding of the Uruk-hai. These trolls lived mainly in Mordor and southern Mirkwood, but were also present at the Battle of the Black Gate, where Pippin saves Beregond from one.
Olog-hai were tall, covered in spiky scales, and armed with war hammers, large swords, or spiked maces, as well as bucklers. They had claws and sometimes tusks, and were known to speak only in the Black Tongue of Mordor. Unlike other trolls, they were highly intelligent and able to withstand sunlight. After the War of the Ring, all Olog-hai were reportedly killed. The word "Olog-hai" is a term in the Black Speech meaning simply "troll-folk."

And theres one who REALLY doesn’t want a “ bloody fort. “
Would you just keep the bloody fort?
"I never wanted the foooort"
“It’s your fort, not mine!”
Reference to bruz from Shadow of war
I'd like to hope that Ranger/Az-Harto escaped the extinction of his species, and he and Ratbag are still getting up to shenanigans in some remote corner of the world.
They are dope in SoW. Cruel to imagine that my beloved Bodyguards will die after Lothr😢
I love their humour and Style
“No matter what comes through that gate”
What ever comes through that gate Gandalf
It it possible to turn a Olog-hai into a storm-bringer? Like the large ologs? That would be cool
Saruman didn't breed the Uruk-Hai, those were Sauron's creation also, several centuries before the events in LotR. They were essentially Orc super-soldiers.
When I was a kid all I could think whilst watching the movies was: “All they needed to do was ride the eagles to mount doom and toss the ring in…” not realizing that the story wouldn’t be worth telling if that’s how it went lol 😂
God bless
The lord of the rings 😍😍😍😍😍
Werent they shown in battle of yhe five armies?
Wait so if olog Hai mean troll folk what dise uruk Hai mean?
Orc Folk
Oh
I heard it means War Troll, so Uruk-Hai likely means War Orc.
What are the Skeksis the Dark Crystal
Uruk-Hai wasn't Saruman's creation, that's a lie from the movies.Sauron created Uruk-Hai centuries before the War of The Ring.
Why not just breed an army of those instead of orcs lol
Would be awesome, but I'm guessing they'd obviously eat a shitload more than uruks, as well as take more to armour. Don't know if they are the same amount of effort to breed or if they are born mature like uruks are
@@robbieroberts92 I'd rather have an army of 200 trolls vs 10,000 orcs, the trolls could break through any line man creates, and with a full body shield they'd be unstoppable
Nothing beat an army purely made up of battle trolls commanded by Sauron himself, at least in LotR: Battle for Middle-Earth II.
@@MajorJakas Makes sense lol
Might’ve taken longer for them to reach maturity vs Orcs. Plus you also have a better shot at sneaking into towns and cities with Orcs. With these Trolls any army could see them coming miles away and could just shower them with arrows and catapults.
"All Olog Hair were reportedly killed "
This , 😅 trolls midle ert 👸🌹:
Localizan , of mordor Kingdom
Intelligent? Idk man have you met bruz?
He WAS very smart but then he didnt want the bloody fort anymore
Uruk.... It's Uruk....
No, they are a different kind.
Nah
Ologs see uruks as lesser
"Uruk" is orc. "Olog" is troll. "Hai" is folk.
Where are you guys getting this BS from?
It's not bs so not sure what you are talking about there hoss.
Olog-hai weren’t a thing in Tolkiens written universe, nor the Peter Jackson adaptations. They were invented in shadow of war
