I strongly suspect I'm guilty of all 7 - Thank you so much foe this awesome tutorial. This will definitely revolutionise my practice. You are a star. 🌟❤️🙏
You are such a queen of technique. And always with such energy and a fantastic good mood! I just realized I DO open my support foot also in tree pose etc. :-(
you are trying to strengthen your fingers? or leg? if it is hard to hold your leg up so long, keep in mind you don't have to hold it as long as i do. start with one cycle of breath if you need to and build up. also, a heavy leg is often the result of tighter muscles, so it may be stretching, rather than strengthening that you need. here are some hip openers that can help: ruclips.net/video/DSzyn87J5-I/видео.html i also recommend my vimeo channel of full-length classes. my youtube is all singular postures. if you want to build the strength and flexibility to do these poses, i recommend full and regular daily practice. you can see my classes at vimeo.com/ondemand/yogathletica
Even if, as you say, it is not the same posture, this video is also invaluable for not (not too) badly performing the "bikram" posture which is similar to it.
I tried to fix everything today and managed to get about 0.25 better before transitioning into the traditional hopping-around-on-one-leg vinyasa. But at least I have a new purpose in life now. I believe hopping on one leg positively shakes up the chakras.

Hahah how many mistakes? All of it lol. Great video!
😂 honesty is the best policy. 😂
Would be worth mentioning body proportions here, and the requirement for more flexible hammys & a higher leg position (for the Tyrannosaurs among us).
Yes...you are absolutely correct and I would argue that bodily proportions have an effect on most (or almost all) yoga asanas. 🙏
Psoas muscle, which is crucial for this asana, sadly varies btw folks making it easier/difficult for some.
Same can honestly be said for just about any Asana. Our movements are definitely affected by our musculature and bone structure.
Wow I love this video. Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge 🙏
