Hi friends! I hope you enjoyed this video on the difference between an intern, a resident and a fellow!! What do you want to learn about being an intern, a resident and a fellow? Are there other terms that you would like me to cover? Where are you currently at and where would you like to be in your M.D. journey!? Let me know along with any questions you have below!
I really appreciate all the work you put into your videos ! Your video editing is perfect and so is the information you're conveying :) thank you for sharing!
I just passed my 11th year fellow status. I had no clue until I looked back on my records. I been at my own practice doing psychiatric work for a while now. I never had a graduation, never really had a stopping and starting point it all just "flowed" My first year was in medicine, outpatient consultations and therapy.
WOW 11 years. So you never had a graduation to finally say ok now I have become a Physician. Like a “Congratulations you have finished school now you are a doctor”
As someone whos highest medical training is EMT and likes to watch shows like Scrubs, and have run across these terms all the time but never really knew the differences too well, this really helps clear things up with who's who at the Hospital and the hierarchy and all that jazz, in a nice clear, straight to the point video
Thank you so very much! I'm a medical interpreter and I had idea in regards to "interns", "resident" and somehow, "attending", but that "fellow" thing always baffled me and I really never knew where to put them when it comes to category, to get an accurate rendering, again, thank you!
In the Philippines, an Intern is a fresh graduate from medical school but not yet a licensed physician and a year of Internship or Postgraduate Internship is a requirement to sit and take the Philippine Medical Licensure exams while a resident is a licensed physician on training in various specialties while a fellow is a postr-esidency training in various sub-specialties.
In my country (SA), an interns is someone who just graduated from medical school but is not licensed yet. 12 months of internship in the core clinical rotations (GS, IM, EM, OBGYN and pediatrics) must be completed before applying to residency programs. I wonder, does this qualify as "previous GME" required by some residency programs in the US?
Can u tell me the best way to clear USMLE in a very short duration ... I am a 1st year medical student.. Plsss also tell the minimum time duration to clear USMLE and can we clear USMLE during our mbbs degree?

Can u tell me the best way to clear USMLE in a very short duration ...
I am a 1st year medical student..
Plsss also tell the minimum time duration to clear USMLE and can we clear USMLE during our mbbs degree?
Would start studying a little each week and then have some dedicated time off (6 weeks) to only study for Step 1
@@TheMDJourney can we give part 1 and 2 while doing mbbs??
Would be better to focus on one at a time because the score matter so much
Thank u so much
Glad you found it helpful!
Wow
