would have been great if it took off from the other side of the runway, get to the motorway at an angle
I'm amazed that Birmingham has the capacity to handle any A380 flights, let alone regular ones
all thanks to the runway extension which is just about long enough for the A380 :)

It had the capacity for A380 flights to Dubai before the runway extension. Hint 2009
minesh1987 the runway at Birmingham Airport is longer than the two runways at Manchester by 2mtrs

Funny you should ask. Of course i know the answer, but we sure could have had an ejector seat for a drunkard on a Dubai- Johannesburg flight 2 years ago. Noisy/ shouting walking about obviously as drunk as a lord.... from take off to touch down. God alone knows how he dodged check in, security and boarding.check. He never stopped. Night flight too.
Disembarked and disappeared with out police intervention . Back to his Zimbabwe....

hi, this was ek40 1:30pm flight. As of 1st of this year (2017).. Emirates switched to Boeing 777 on that time slot. For the time being.. A380 arrives at night. More info on last paragraph here www.emirates.com/media-centre/emirates-goes-all-a380-to-manchester-adjusts-a380-schedule-to-birmingham
