I think the Darby/Christian match will be tied 1-1, then 1 of 3 things will happen. In order of what I'd like to see most to what I'd like to see least... 1. Edge debuts. Whether he helps Christian win or distracts Christian enough for him to lose, I don't know. 2. Jack Perry returns & helps Christian win, then tells Christian he was right all along. 3. What I'd like to see least, but I am afraid what they are going to do is turn Nick Wayne heel & he helps Christian win.

My theory on the ROH Tag Title/Kingdom thing is that they were included as a big red haring. Its to set up the "Oh well theyll obviously win this because of the larger story" like Luke said. But turn around have The Dark Order, who fans largely like, and The Righteous, who they want to introduce to the larger audience, BUT with the addition that they have been heavily part of ROH TV this year, so BTYBB would have a bit of a run with wins over two ROH-ish teams before eventually losing the titles to probably The Kingdom on an ROH PPV. Obviously Cole's injury throws this off significantly so idk what will actually happen. I just think the path presented makes sense beforehand.

I really think everyone is thinking about the Righteous vs MJF and Cole the wrong way. We have a ton of bangers in ring on this show and it won't lack for that but I feel like at least the original plan was big storyline development instead. The Righteous have done 3 promos so far all about exposing the false relationship MJF and Cole have. I don't think the point was ever to deliver killer in ring or believe the righteous wins but instead that whatever happens in the match will have significant developments towards the overall story with the MJF and Cole and their interactions with the Kingdom going forwards. - Now if that still applies now when Cole isn't in the match IDK - but on a show with tons of brilliant in ring matches I'm not opposed to one storyline match that serves a grander overall character driven plot. With Coles injury it really changes things now but at least originally I was all on board for that idea and the promo package with cole and mjf on the boat with the tease of the ring only adds to that idea.
Nobody has picked up on how specific the wording is for that 4-way tag match. It’s so weird that it specifies (at anytime) never seen AEW use this writing before. Only time I can think is when they heavily hinted that’s how MJFs brass ring would work. That and the bucks soon to be heel turn makes me think the bucks wins the 4-way and the challenge FTR the same night after a possible MOTY contender with Aussie Open. I know it doesn’t seem like the kind of booking AEW does but the wording being so specific really sticks out to me.
Honestly I'm not a big fan of technical wrestling, but I get that it's good and alot of people enjoy it. Whether it Main events or not, the rest of the card is so good I'll enjoy it either way! Lol

They could tell a compelling story about how Kenny left Kota all alone in Japan choosing the Elite over him. I think he had a WWE contract for a little while too. was doing NXT stuff. That being said, I think the righteous are freaking awesome and I would watch them day and night over Action Andretti and the Martin boys flipping around like dummies. We got enough of that

She isn't "I am a woman and I am a wrestler" the only other person in the womens division that's featured that also has a character is Toni Storm. Britt, Ruby, Kris, Saraya, Skye, Willow, Shida.. hell I'd even class Nyla in there, all of them are just "wrestler" with 0 character. AEW does lack characters in general, but now more than ever, they could do with them in their womens division to give it a new feeling.

My only complaint about the booking of this card is again no AEW title match. Why do the handicap match? Just push the match to a later date and have Max defend against Jay or a rematch with Joe. Other than that I love all the matches on this card.
You do the handicap because the idea of it works in the story and most likely won't be a handicap anyway. Pushing the match to later isn't that good for the story or the belts, especially if "later" is December/January. Turning Max/Jay into a 3 day build or shoehorning a Joe rematch in on 1 day build would be flat out bad booking. Match placement on a card is also a thing.

To be fair, I wouldn't be shocked if The Righteous winning was a snap decision after Cole got hurt and TK wants to save the match against The Kingdom.
