    Dont feel obligated to post daily if you think you are gonna burn out. Even one or two videos a week is great!

    • @RioRav
      @RioRav 2 года назад +10

      Yes exactly! Kevin you could do one vlog that is shorter more casual like gaming or any other of your hobbies or just saying how your weeks been, and one video that you put a bit more time and effort to. See what feels good for you and post less frequent if starts to feel too stressful. Different people work in different paces and in the beginning theres a lot to process as you are still learning.

    Don't worry Kevin, my first night at college I was so emotional I cried when I saw my parents drive away. For the first time, I was alone in the world and that's scary. But, then I made friends and got a routine and ended up loving it :) Now I have 2 kids in college and their experience was pretty similar to mine

    I don’t have ACC, but I fell off a cliff and my brain injury was mostly to the corpus callosum. This is really cool to learn about, because finally some things are starting to make sense! Like the fact I can have a long conversation with someone and I remember every detail of what we talked about, but I can’t remember their name! 😅

    Kevin i think you're gonna do amazing. Like chris said the only thing that might get in your way is focus but that can be worked on. I have focus issues with my disabilities as well. I'm also prone to seizures not for the same reason but i can still have them at any time and it's scary. But we are all here to support you and help you be the best you can be. And don't worry if you can't upload every single day even pewdiepie takes a few days off sometimes and that's ok.I've been told by many people including doctors that i show signs of adhd so i think soon I'm gonna get tested to see if i have it. Because it would explain alot. I can switch from 1 subject to the next to the next ect ect and do it for hours i think it's annoying i hate it but nothing i can do really. That's why some of my so called friends abandoned me. They didn't want to deal with that. But anyways I'm bipolar with bpd borderline personality disorder,i also have anxiety/panic disorder,signs of adhd,ptsd,ocd ect and it's hard sometimes cuz people want to make fun of me or say mean things laugh or stare or just flat out not want anything to do with me and it hurts but i try to forget about it and deal with it best i can.I'm 44 but have the mind of a 16 yr old at times i also love video games singing(i love music it's one of my fav things to do besides play video games. But this is long enough just wanted to say I support you in whatever you decide to do. I'm proud of you for doing this and with the help of chris you're gonna go far i can feel it. You could go far without him as well but with him guiding you it's a great experience and you're gonna learn alot and have fun doing it. I wish you nothing but success in everything you do. Take it slow 1 day at a time and the possibilities are endless. Kind of reminds me of my son whos 20 now(don't know why but it does)again sorry for the long comment. Throwing all the love and support your way. Oh p.s. oscar is pretty cool i like his hoodie. Also to clarify what i said about having the mind of a 16 yr old being 44 it's part of my disability that people constantly make fun of me for but i deal with it the best way i can. Can't wait to see all the things life has to offer you. And watching your channel blossom and change is going to be an awesome experience and journey to go on with you. Everything said in this comment is said out of kindness support and just rooting for ya. You got this we believe in you. And chris is a wonderful guy so happy he's helping you do this👍👍

    Kevin, I would like to know what your daily schedule is like. Do you live alone or have a roommate? Are you a morning person? I was wondering if you can drive a car. My godson who is autistic can’t drive because he can’t focus and react quickly to what is going on around him on the road. But now that you have seizures that makes it unsafe to drive.
    Even though I don’t have a brain disability I’m old and need to write things down in a datebook to remember what I plan to do each day. Do you have to do that?
    I am looking forward to your video on using a metal detector. What got you interested in it? Where do you do it? Have you found interesting things?

    I understand you get tired. Many of us taking certain medications do this too. I’m wondering how you feel about planning to do your videos when you know you’ll feel more awake? I love the idea of seeing your trailer. This will be so cool. Do you know if your school may be willing to let you interview those teaching, and students who are interested in being on camera? SUGGESTION
    KEVIN I watch a lot of RUclips because I have a disability where I'm in bed all the time and that sucks because I'm exhausted and I can't go outside it's just really hard. As I was watching this video I wanted to share something with you that I think will really make your videos much better and more engaging for the viewer. When Chris was asking you questions your answers were very short. And I think what you need to do is elaborate more, don't think you're boring people you're not boring people. People like to know a lot about what it feels like to be you the things that you go through because of your disability not just saying oh I had a seizure and it sucks. That's not enough information to create interest. So when you're going to share something never think it's too small or unimportant, and get into the details of it tell as much as you can about what it's like to do a certain activity with your disability let's say. or if you're involved in something beside talking about your disability get into talking about it really get into it. That to me makes an interesting content creator. So that's my suggestion don't keep your answers short keep them long and interesting by sharing as much as you can from your personal point of view. I hope you get a chance to read this and I'm really excited to see where you can take your Channel.

    One interesting thing is when the disability is all you've ever known, it's really difficult to gauge it as compared to normies because there IS no other normal for you. My eye has always been 20/400. I don't know what seeing out of two eyes feels like or how blind I am on a granular level as compared to eye-havers. I see people driving and can extrapolate "a whole damn lot" but nothing else aside from that.

    • @MaxAngor
      @MaxAngor 2 года назад

      @@mayneeyuh8713 Exactly like when I'm awake. Exactly as blurry around the edges and in the distance. Mostly sound and smell. But I'd imagine if you had vision and lost it, you'd see in your dreams because it's something your brain has already cottoned on to.

    New subscriber here :):). It's interesting to hear both of your perspectives and learn more about your disability and life with it.
    Also looking over past videos it's cool to see Kevins grown up.
    I wish you the best of luck with your channel. Don't feel pressured to post videos, so long as it's fun for you and you are happy with it, that's what matters.

    I agree with Chris in that it's very important to post regularly. One of the reasons why it's important to post regularly is so that your subscribers will remember to check in with you, and they'll think "I haven't seen Kevin in a while! Let me go check his channel!" if RUclips didn't let them know that you uploaded. (That happens sometimes!) Sometimes RUclipsrs get overwhelmed when they have to upload regularly. It's OK to take breaks! One strategy that you can also use is to record some videos, but don't post them all at once. If you space it out, you'll have time to rest but also still have content to post on your RUclips channel at the same time. 😉 Best of wishes, Kevin!

    Kevin, I loved how when you were passing such important information as the seizures you looked straight into the camera, that really emphasised your point. You are clearly a very loving man and I hope you are proud to be you!

    Hi Kevin, I just found this video and just finished watching it. I thought it was really interesting what you had to say about your disability, and what you explained about it. Thanks for sharing that with us.
    Also, I enjoyed watching you interact with the puppet, and watching Chris do the voice for it. I think you’re going to do really well with what you’re doing on your channel, as well as I think you’ll do really well going through your life, and you have my support.
    Again, thanks for sharing what you did in this video, and I look forward to checking out more of what you post here.

    Kevin -
    Today's world consists of a highly refined, over processed, modified, and edited array of "content". To me, when I think of the word content, I think of the feeling I get when I am happy. Not a product, not the RUclips version of "content".
    I think appreciating people is more than looking for clickbait videos or being highly entertained. I think some of the greatest joys and pleasures in life are getting to know people. The greatest treasure we have as a people is relationship. People of all capabilities, disabilities, and differently abled abilities can build relationships. I think it's interesting getting to know people of all abilities and backgrounds, and I can genuinely say I will enjoy your content no matter what you post! Focused or not :-) I have been following special books by special kids for years and I am also on the list awaiting an interview with Chris someday for my son who has a rare condition to spread awareness for him! Its called Sinus Pericranii. Anyway,
    I think it's just interesting learning about different disabilities and conditions, we are all people and we all love ❤️ everybody has issues, some people are just better at hiding them. Even the most appearingly put together people you've ever seen, have issues under the surface. I myself have Focus issues all the time even though I am a clinically ordinary person.
    You have a wonderful personality and you are a great friend to have. I immediately subscribe to you and I will continue to follow your content! Chris, thanks for starting Kevin on this journey I think it will be great for him and I will continue to follow Chris and Alyssa on their journey as always! The world needs more PEOPLE LIKE YOU! Love is the answer.
    Just keep being yourself and post whatever you want! You have a great group of followers already who appreciate you as you are.

    Hi Kevin, I really appreciate when you give information for parents and people living with ACC. I never heard of it before I saw your videos, but you're really good at teaching and sharing information about it. I get the feeling you would be great at helping families and kids!! I'm looking forward to more videos!
    Also, seizures are scary. My niece's mom has epilepsy and my brother has had seizures from head injuries. Thank you for talking about your experience.

    I have seizures at age 12 and all through school and you are right, that are scary and I was 22 before I stopped having them. But could not do what I wanted, but ended up in the medical field as an assistant so focus was necessary and now I really liked it. I learned to do things under a doctors supervision and then passed the test for a license. Now I am retired, 71 years old still. Take my seizure medication and live by myself. I enjoy your videos. Can’t wait to see more when you can do them.

    My 3mo old son has complete ACC along with a few other brain abnormalities and rare diseases and I’d love to have a conversation with you about what the best way will be for me to be as compassionate as I can. How do you want people to treat you? Would you rather someone always be there to help or do things independently even if they may take longer?

    Maybe you could make a video on what to do if someone around you has a seizure or what you would want people to do if they were with you when you have one. I think it’s one of those things most of us don’t think about until it happens.
