I guess the cause of toxic envy is that our parents (and society as a whole) taught us that we only deserve love, respect and attention if we are remarkable and achieve extraordinary things, when instead, we should have been loved and appreciated regardless of anything and just by virtue of existence.
    I love you videos Anna!

I heard that instead of feeling jealous, you should better compliment the person who has something that you don't (because it boosts your feminine energy and, in general, improves self-esteem), And it helped me a lot.
When I see a beautiful girl, I compliment her instead of feeling like I'm not enough, and as a consequence, she has a great mood during the day, and I feel like I am pretty too. We, as girls, should stop acting like we're enemies and comparing ourselves to others.

I totally agree with each word that you said. I see that a lot of people are used to splitting emotions into bad and good, but it is not like this, and most of them just hide it inside without actually living that. Emotions are powerful things that can direct you on the right path if you listen to them, of course.

Thank you so much for this video. Jealousy and envy is an emotion I’ve always struggled with and tried not to feel. I appreciate the tangible steps you gave to break it down and see it in a different light. Great video ❤

Jealousy is something it can force you to improve your self or worse case can break you badly apart so we should be little cautious

I totally agree with you whenever I tell my friends that Jealousy and envy is not actually that toxic that you make it sound thay would just make fun of me and I think maybe I'm the odd one . But after watching this video I am so proud that I'm that odd one and I view life and it's concept differently .
    Thanks for the video ❤

I agree with the video in general.
About accepting all the emotions and trying to make the best out of them.
But with regards to the final part, sometimes we do want things that we cannot get. And that's ok, we have also to understand that we don't have control over all the variables that determine whether we get it or not, so as long as we are doing what we can, it's ok.
There is this song by the Rolling Stones that says "you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes you might find that you get what you need"
In conclusion, what I want to say is that doing the best we can doesn't mean we are going to always get what we want, but it's always going to make us feel better than not having tried at all.

I usually feel envy for things I don't want to admit to myself that I want them and value them, especially beauty and materialistic things. Growing up these were labeled superficial and wanting them was "bad". Sometimes I do feel envy for things I don't even want (there's usually a less obvious aspect that I do want, but still), so my first question usually is: Do I even want this thing?
It was life changing to use this feeling to better connect to my values

6:56 I suffer a lot from comparing my self even with the slightest things and I think such a mindset rose from surrounding myslef with competitive people which think that they always have to be better. Before I used to be very happy If anyone got what I wanted to have but recently it’s so hard for me to be fully happy and I hate it sm because I genuinely don’t want to be like that but it’s just that Idk how to get rid of this competitive mindset it leads to me never thinking that what I do is enough and I always have to do more :(

Linda Ronstadt once said about Emmylou Harris when she saw her for the first, that Emmylou was doing the exact same thing as her, but she was doing it better. she decided she could either be jealous, or “become a drooling fan like the rest of them”. they became incredibly close lifelong friends, and Linda helped Emmylou through hard times after Gram Parsons’ passing. revel in the beauty of others, admire those around you. when you do, it makes you even more beautiful, inside & out.❤️

wow, this genuinely is so wise
    1) whatever you desire desires you
    2) someone else having what you want does not mean that your reality of having that thing is threatened in any way
    3) the fact that you want it means there is space for you to have it, otherwise you wouldn't want it
    4) jealousy and envy can be a directional signal (to show you what you want, what you're capable of, what your potential is and WHERE YOU HAVE ROOM FOR HEALING) if you let it be

Jealousy is a feeling like any other so videos "teaching" others how to stop feeling jealous are just promoting nonsensical and unrealistic expectations. I don't get why it would be more possible to never feel jealous ever again than not feeling sadness or happiness ever again. What is possible, though, is altering your way of coping with sadness or happiness. I think this is what these videos are trying to do with jealousy. But people end up closing their laptop with the idea that jealousy is an inherently negative and wrong thing to feel either because that *is* the message the RUclipsr was trying to convey, or because their wording lacks clarity and nuance, assuming that the person listening to them already knows what kind of jealousy they are saying should be learned to better cope with. It's not the case a lot of the time. And most of the time, when it is, the fact that not all form of jealousy/envy is toxic is so easy to forget, and seldom reminded.
And truth is that humans, at a point or another of their lives, *will* feel jealous about someone or something in a way that could be deemed toxic for their own selves. Which still is not something to beat yourself up for. It becomes a problem when that toxic feeling of jealousy is no longer momentary but lingers and begins affecting others. It becomes a problem when you find no place to take a step back and extract something positive from that instantaneous feeling.
I believe these videos can genuinely be helpful for some people, but truth is that those who truly experience toxic jealousy will need more than a 20 minutes long video to genuinely snap out of it anyway.
I'm glad this is being brought up, though. It adds nuance to this endless discussion.
