I work at a vet clinic and these are the most common breed to come by. They are so smart that they actually stop eating cause they know that their owner will give them something tastier, like chicken
Miniature poodle owner here, while minis and toys aren’t exactly the same, I can confirm poodles are easy to train. My 2 boys, Riicuu and Prince are very calm and obedient.
For 42 years I 'hate' dogs. I was scared of them, disgusted, scared again 😅 and then last year we decided to welcome Lulu our red toy poodle, and I have never falling in love so deep (3rd rank after my sons) with a living being. She's the cutest, most graceful, spoilt little princess. It's amazing how willing I am to potty her, brush her coat, take her to walk etc etc while I was such a couch potato before 😂 Now I'm sooo in love with dogs in general, thanks to the most gorgeous little lady, our toy poodle ❤❤❤
@@DeeMontezx1 it's disgusting if they lick me. It's saliva 🤷♀️ but it was in the past. I don't mind now although I still don't want her to groom me on the face. But as I've been 'on the other side', I understand how non-pet people feels towards dogs
My poodle has been my faithful travel companion for years now and even though she’s blind, I can carry her if the terrain is too difficult. She cheers me up every day ❤
@ Her eye sight deteriorated little by little. We first noticed it some years ago, when she almost fell off a patio. Luckily, she’s still a happy, playful dog. Thanks for your message 😌
Every time I see someone driving with a small dog at the window, on their lap, etc. Or a big dog half way out the window it makes me cringe, because that means they aren't in a doggie seatbelt and harness. If the car were to crash that dog would easily die 😢
Thank you show showing them as what they are, rather than how people perceive them. Poodles are just the best dogs, and what 95% of doodle owners actually want in a pet! Just get a poodle, you won't regret it!
I would greatly advice you to spend the next couple years (some healthy, well cared for dogs could live up to 16-17 yrs) taking your dog to big fields or dog parks to run around, give em his favorite treats more often, and give em some extra cuddles and belly rubs whenever you have free time. Trust me when i say it'll help immensely with the grieving process knowing you gave your buddy the best last few years any old dog could have.

I have been the proud dad of four toy poodles and have enjoyed every single minute of being with them. They are smart, adorable, clean, and have a have a long life span. I wouldn't want another breed.
I've just bought my first one and she's the most perfect puppy. Absolutely loves cuddles with the daily psycho play session, always making us laugh with her antics. I've had a lot of different dogs over my years and can say she's already the best dog I've ever had. Wonderfully social, unlike my pomeranian cross papllion who recently passed away at 18 years old, he was a little demon and wanted to eat everyone that wasn't family. Despite missing him heaps ,he was extremely loyal and a little over protective, I'm so happy to have my new little poodle. I wanted a dog that wouldn't try to eat every stranger, and she already loves everyone she meets. Full of exuberance and very loving ❤️ loving the breed.😊

I've watched this post more than 50 times. I just can't get over how adorable this tiny little poodle is. I would love to have one. Let's see how well a toy poodle compares to the toy Chihuahua. The poodle is likely more intelligent, but I don't think they're cuter although either one can soften even the hardest of hearts.
toy poodles cannot be lonely, which happens quickly. They get sad and are very emotional. If you work long hours or are often away, please consider another breed. If as a puppy it is not strongly bonded to you, then a sitter situation would be ok. There's a lot to think about before getting a toy poodle but I am happy to change my life to make mine happy
You did a great job of pointing out the many benefits of the breed. Even though they aren't "shedders", and are known to be a safe breed for those that tend to have an allergic reaction to dogs, you left out the necessary grooming to keep their ears and eyes free from infection.

Nah. My dog finishes her burnt brown balls fast and then asks for food from us.
