Is this the SW4-style tag team system? Man, that was like the best thing they ever came up with that made SW4 one of the best Warriors game! And the fact they also brought back the 1-on-1 duel mid-war from DW6 as a shout to the original PS1 fighting game shows they're really compensating for what happened in DW9.
finally. the enemy is actually fighting back. unlike before that you just juggle them around 😅 also deym, Lu bu fight giving me chills with his soundtrack too.
We cant say that for sure. We still dont know what are capable to do our characters. Plus, you know. When I played orochi 4, some people said, that is to easy than orochi 3 because of magic. Then, I finish 4rd part. Starting to play orochi 3. And you know what? There is no difference. Instead of magic, characters can use musou VERY often and true triple attack is not hard to charge, when you completely invincible. Soooo, who knows, how it will be actually
Damn, Lu Bu has a shift of personality now. Instead of keep screaming I AM THE STRONGEST!! Dude is calm, confident and cool af. He drops in not even smug or drop the cringe af line like "ALL SHALL BOW BEFORE ME" or something and get straight to work charging at the army. Dude does drop the line like "Hm, what's wrong weakings? Is this all you got?" but in a very calm and confident manner..
Man Sun Shang looks great and it feels so nice to see her signature weapons. I'm hoping the give Diao Chan her maces back. The whip always felt weird to me.
She seems to be holding a hairpin in the trailer, throwing needles perhaps Hope they would go with it, fits her more manipulative behind the scene role in the war, would miss her on field dance style attacks tho
There will be only one Lu Bu.. Inada Tetsu Lu Bu so happy he still voiced Lu Bu on this new DW I noticed some characters voice are different on JP.. of course Sima Yi is excluded because his original seiyuu already passed away
Now that the story only covers up until Red Cliff (mentioned in the live) I wonder if Sima Yi will actually be included in the series. as far as I'm aware, his VA is now the same as his son, Sima Shi (Okiayu Ryoutaro, ironically the voice of Zhuge Liang in Ya Boi Kongming)

They still keep Inada Tetsu as Huang Gai and Lu Bu though, also Nakai Kazuya as Xiahou Dun and Dian Wei. I don't 100% understand why but ig creative decision is a creative decision :')

Always loved these games, feeling like a god and the euphoria of seeing that big number pop up on screen when you reach a certain amount of eliminations. I’m very excited for this.
This Dynasty Warriors game I hope to be the best one. That moveset Lu Bu was dishing out makes me believe that the entire cast of DW will all have lit AF moves
This game looks so good i cried 😭😭😭. This is my childhood favorite game franchise. Looks like everyrhing that ive been wanting for this series. Whenever they would try to implement something different to the game it just doesn't work out but for the first time this looks amazing. They took features from passed games into one game. I am so excited to get my hands this game. And it seems like it'll be challenging for once. Cannot wait to get into duels in this game they look improved from DW4. This wasn't the best showcase but it still got me excited. They didn't really took advantage of all of the mechanics. Seems like theres gonna be a lot to do in terms of combat. I have played all DW games up until the recent one. I haven't been this excited for a DW game in a long time.

I hope they allow you customize your character. There is no sense in having a nameless warrior if you can make it your own. You might as well just had players play as their favorite general.

I like the direction its taken, just a bit upset though that we can only play as 9 other actual dynasty warriors characters and that the game ends at chi bi and doesnt go beyond which means we may not see alot of characters, but oh well
At chibi? Damn, even early games finished at wuzhang plains which was 26 years later. This game is slowly making me lose interest with all the content and characters they’re leaving out and I really don’t want to with how much I love the direction they’re taking combat wise.
I like that the enemy commander has the same damage and skills as us even though he is a non-playable character. Because I am tired of games where the enemy only has damage and hits hard but no strategy. This part is considered well done.
They surely made improvements to the formula. In fact, if they were to take some rpg aspects from their souls games they could attain a fresh result; balanced in difficulty, interesting to experience and most importantly not braindead like the latest releases. Implement some strategy aspects like the empires spin offs and there you have the perfect musous. Hope they choose to follow this way for the samurai warriors series as well
Love the look of this. My only criticism is Sun Shang Xiang around this time historically was somewhere between a newborn to a very young child and I would have preferred someone like Sun Ce instead. Her design and combat is great, but I loved that the newer games atleast had some correctness to the history.
I really hope the difficulty on every version will scale to your character's level and setting higher difficulties will require *HIGHER SKILL FROM THE PLAYER* rather than inflated health pools and raw damage taken.
Looks good. Enemy officers are harder. A bit of new complications added which looks nice. And thanks for making the weapon hit’s special effects neutral and not over-the-top colorful like what you did in stupid sugarcoated DW8
@@obitoxshinobi8978 i mean....there have been many who have that name through history so...yes? But look at a front pic of the MC in this new DW game and then look at Xu Shu. They are almost identical in terms of facial structure and hight. Also the way MC in new DW hold his sword is the exact same way Xu Shu holds his in other DW games.
I think in this game, it's executed a lot better because it allows all the officers to play their roles properly in this new focus of officers actually leading armies. It also makes the short time you get to play as your favorite officer that much more impactful.
@X1erra It also means the game won't have as much replayability vs older titles. Tho I am hoping that this games just a technical test to see how players feel about the new combat formula for DW. THEN they'll begin work on a proper DW10 using the new format with all of the playable characters and the proper Three Kingdom storyline.
I'll definitely be curious to see how everything is exactly fleshed out but so far it looks like they took a lot of things in previous DW games along with other Warriors games and tried to make it all fleshed out.
Can anyone tell if the controls are like older DW where square is light attacks and triangle are charged attacks and you have different moves/combo routes depending on how many times you press square before triangle? Or is it more like dynasty warriors 9?

Compared to 8 i think the mobs in this demo is better, but still the mobs in earlier dw is more brutal
