I remember me and a friend of mine played DW5 at his house and he defeated Diao Chan making Lu Bu mad. And we learned the hard way that it was the worst thing that we ever did. EDIT: DW6 not 5
23:00 Imagine running away from Lu Bu through an entire populated battlefield and everybody ignores your need for help because they don’t want to fight him either 😂
Technically the new origin is bad only if they make it realistic game and open world online pvp game like red dead redemption 2 and make it a real fight not 1000 get kill*d with one hit make it hard like the old games
@@LuBu-vi damn, imagine wanting to play a game like red dead, the most boring slow shit possible, watching paint dry has more action than rockstar mid ass game. Bully>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>slop dead redemption 2
i think lubu 5 was the most dangerous if you dont know what ur doing, when his health is around 20~30% and he manage to get 2x atk buff + musou rage, its basically a 1 shot combo for ANY character and npc in game, only possible because the game nerfed him by giving him less poise and ally to juggle him with you. Other wise DW4 lubu is the hardest gameplay wise cause of his poise that require you to musou cheese him
DW5 is also the game where officers grouped up when you pushed an advantage, LuBu pushes you when Diao Chan retreats a bit and Diao Chan follows you if you slip her by her, other officers always pop up during the fight as well like Xu Rong/Niu Fu.. making it way harder..
The issue with DW2 is that enemy officers "simulate" getting items, doing it when they get up from being knocked down. Player can avoid that by not finishing the attack strings, so the enemy officer isn't knocked down... but allies can interfere. Later PS2 games changed it so enemy officers can "get" effects of items by "charging up", which can be interrupted by hitting them hard enough. 14:34 this could be a good time to block. Some trivia (which could be got from reading the manual 😂) PS2 DW games had varying mechanics of blocking: In DW2, you could make a quick counter attack after blocking (this messed you up often, as enemy officers, especially the "legendary" ones, love doing that) DW3 doesn't have that; instead, by pressing attack while blocking, quickly after blocking a strike, you can "push back" the attacker to get more space. DW4 and 5 drop that, instead introducing a timed parry counter - while in blocking stance, press Triangle just before taking a hit; if you got it right, you will make a counter attack that will blow away people in front of you, while you are invincible. Lastly, in all games blocking requires you to stand still. another thing... A timely jump can save you from attacks you have no time to block or run away from.
This is a blast from the past for me. Lu Bu was my nightmare as a kid. I outrite refused to fight him unless I had a near maxed character cause he was just so scary. I miss old school DW so much man.
DW2 is vicious lmao, I kinda cheesed it by beating him with DIan Wei and having the axe throw charge attack by then already. Respect for just really diving in and going for it though and learning what each game has to offer to beat even the mighty Lu Bu, which I think is testament to their design!
D4 is where I first learned of true despair. Me and boy tried jumping him and didn't work. Always mopped two actual players. Now fight Lu Bu in Wo Long 😂
Me and my brothers used to only play on the highest difficulties, on dynasty warriors and extreme legends 😅. Who remembers unlocking secret items and the secret cutscenes. "It's its.... LuBu Arrgh get out of my way" is part of my vocabulary 😅
Man you had me cackling throughout this whole video! I love all the editing, especially the Dashie ones! You got some really good taste! For DW3 Lu Bu, I keep knocking him down then breaking his guard with the C1 when he’s just about to get back up, and rinse and repeat until success. I’ve never played DW2, but I’m both looking forward to it, and not so much after that bull bull with the healing and merciless ai.
You know you're a true OG fan when you fan the love for DW3 despite the bullshit. Lol! My god, DW2, though? If that wasn't an absolute slaughter. Lol! Sir, i salute you. You're one crazy bastard. Lol!
It's not that Red Hare kicks you off in DW3, it's that your character's rank (level) is too low early on to ride him. You'll notice the same thing with the darker brown and the white horses. I still maintain DW3 had the smartest enemy AI of all the games even now. You really had to learn to keep moving and never get surrounded if you could help it. At the very least you're using Zhao Yun, who has a versatile move set and decent reach. I remember using other starter characters in DW3 like Sun Shang Xiang and Huang Gai in those levels. Sun Shang Xiang has a range issue, and her attacks on horseback are too slow. Huang Gai is a tad bit slow, though he hits hard. Then you have Dian Wei from Wei, who has both problems except when he throws his axe as a last move. Also remember when we FIRST got DW3, it would be a while till we could buy a MEMORY CARD for the PS2. So imagine playing that level over. And over. And over. And over again. Without being able to save your progress. And yes, the Peons swarming and then bouncing you like a volleyball was a thing. Nostalgic even. Heaven forbid the officer you spent so long fighting decided to HEAL! Apparently DW3 XTREME Legends actually amped up the difficulty to DW3 as well, with crossbowmen and archers becoming REALLY deadly.
15:27 Bro when you are in that situation either jump away from his attacks or stand your ground and guard his attacks. Use guard tech of pressing square while guarding his attacks to push him away because you ain't blocking all his attacks that's for sure. Never turn your back on him after using a Musuo. He has long reach attacks for a reason LOL.
Now, i wanna see you make an Empires series from DW4E - DW9E, just one playthrough each or doing a youtube livestream, a chill stream to play, and chat with the online boogeymans

I think DW2 had a system where if knocked down bosses use a buff or regain health, but it's limited so I use the quick hop to knock them down a bunch at the start. Like attacking really quickly after a forward jump, useful to knock down enemies and gain space. Also using infinites like in a final fight beat em up game by purposely restarting your combo strings on enemies backs forever and just repeating the first couple of combo strings and not knocking the opponent down. Brought back a lot of old memories.

I never heard of Dynasty warriors until your video, but now I wish to pursue Lu Bu on the hardest difficulty if that's even possible.
I remember playing All these cept for the latest one I remember my strategy before I took on any challenge….. take any supply gate you can first
Bruh the older games are really hard for no reason fr fr. You really have to try hard, juggle and cheese tf out of fights lol but tbh when you get the hang of it it's pretty fun
Man I used to love these games. I used to play the PS2 demo of dynasty warriors 3 at target all the time
That is one of the best channel intros I’ve ever seen. Subbed
Never mattered how many times I knew I was gonna get bodied by him, in every game I still took him on lol
Dynasty Warriors 2 & 3 are the OGs. Thanks for playing through this stuff!
Ah yes a man after my own heart. A lu bu chaser 🥴🥴🥴
fun fact, Lu Bu’s horse is red from the blood of his enemies staining his horse (according to the legends)
I don’t think I seen bro block once, I subscribed 🤣
