In DW4, you didn't trigger the bridge cutscene with Zhang Fei so he isn't in hyper mode (the one with the aura).

Kinda sad for DW. Watching the vid it looks as though the officer AI somehow degrades through each title. 2 can time counters and break your musou when oponents are more powerful, in 3 they are agressive but quick to block, 4 is solid during duels but troops seem to be more agressive than officers during open battles, 5 onwards seems to have a constant regression in agro and increased reliance on stat buffs

I trick to playing DW2 in general was that to NEVER FINISH YOUR STRING. This will prevent you from knocking down the officer. You can stop the string by holding guard.

In DW3/XL and DW4/XL there’s a cutscene where Zhang Fei does his rallying cry on the Chang Ban Bridge, and he does get OP. You just gotta wait for the event to trigger.

Dk for sure, but think in Dw3 + 4 he gets a buff after Lie Bei crosses the bridge and he has his cut scene. Would be cool to see you do these with lower stats 👀, say DW3, fresh campaign on Normal/Hard, or on Xtreme legends very hard mode with Higher stats - enemy officers have their 4th weapons on Very Hard mode 💪Regardless, good shit man, love the content

Next time you do a challenge like this one, remember to juggle the enemies after you’ve set them on fire, the fire effect does true damage over time which will make the fights a bit easier

Was not using Brilliance/Ten Bu part of the challenge? He's never this hard for me. Chao Tai can jump cancel even faster and smoother once you get the rhythm down. Jump cancelling charge attack is funny too looking like a pogo stick.
