Good video. Thanks for sharing.
I bought the same exact model off FB market place for 450. It was brand new in the box still. I absolutely love mine. Only complaint is the oil leak issue every single one of these engines have from the valve cover
Great mower, but keep an eye on the valve cover for the 200 engine. I’ve had two and both started seeping oil within first 10 hours.
Yep. I had to reseal the valve cover on mine. Honda barely uses any from the factory. Otherwise it’s a great mower.
Common issue. Dealer took 3 times to fix it right
Had the HRC216 for years that mower is a tank! That's the only reason I sold it was the weight. I guess now's the time to snag a Honda💯👍🏾
Awesome!!
Bought this about the time you ddi. Having the same problem with oil clogging up everything.
I picked a HYA during Black Friday. Started it once for a 15 mins test before putting it away for the winter. I did noticed it was harder than usual to pull but didn't pay it any mind until I pulled the mower out this spring. It was impossible to pull start. Turned out the vapor release system was defected. The entire motor had to be disassembled to replace the cam shaft the VRS was on. SMH. Very un-Hondalike for a new mower.
I have the 200cc HRX217-VKA which is a cheaper version of yours (no blade stop). Why is the hydrostatic transmission better? Is it more durable?
Yes it is much more robust and will last longer.
That’s still a great mower for residential use. I had one before I sold it. Loved it
I’m assuming they will manufacture engines for other brands and stop producing the chassis?
Yes they’re just not making Honda mowers anymore. They will continue to make replacement engines, parts, etc. etc..
I have that exact same mower. The deck design is shit and gets clogged easily, not to mention when the bag is full, the front lifts up. I do love the mower, though. The independent deck height on each wheel isn't ideal either and prefer a larger gas tank.
What kind of grass are you usually cutting? I think I’ve had to scrape my deck twice in three years. Although I don’t cut the Bermuda here when it’s wet. it’s a really dry type grass so it doesn’t stick to the deck and I don’t even use the bag….mulch only for me.
@@GwinnettLawns Cold seasonn grasses. Kbg, fescue, rye etc.
@@shanew7361 Ah ok. I guess we are fortunate as deck clogging down here is only if you cut a yard that was full of weeds and wet. Never happens with the warm season grasses that is 99% of everything here.
