In my latest video breakdown, I wanted to break down what makes Chase Young so dangerous. In my opinion, it's his ability to pair his athleticism with his feet and hands to pass rush. This is why he should be a Top 2 pick in the NFL Draft and whatever gets him - probably Washington at 2 or small chance Detroit 3 - will be extremely happy next season. Additionally, I also looked at what he needs to improve on, his pro comparison (Julius Peppers), and also his game against Clemson.

It bugs me when people say an edge rusher “disappeared” in games because they didn’t get the sack totals. Nick Bosa didn’t have nearly as many sacks in the last half of the regular season as in the first, but got a shit ton of pressures, and the reason he didn’t get the sacks was injuries on the D Line and teams almost exclusively using screens and quick game against the Niners once they realized they couldn’t block him Armstead and Buckner, when Dee Ford was on the field and teams couldn’t solely focus on double teaming and chipping Bosa he went off. Even the Super Bowl he “only” had 1 strip sack but had 12 pressures. People need to actually watch the games and not just look at the box score

By far the best film breakdown of Young. Finally someone talked about his average motor. I do agree tho, he will still be a beast. I'm hoping Ron and Del Rio gets that motor going a bit more to further unleash his potential

Love these videos 👍 You're one of my favorite analysts because 1) you go over almost every position which is hard to do and 2) you point out both the pros AND the cons. Ive seen many football analysts that just tell you the great things about a player but they don't emphasize the negative stuff too. Your analysis gives a well-rounded point of view on a player. Id like to see a cardinals offence breakdown and if you think it will be able to last in the NFL and/or revolutionize the NFL, or suffer simular fate to the zone read revolution of 2012 and 2013 where once teams figured out how to stop the zone read it pretty much stopped being run.

I can appreciate your evaluations of Young. Specially when talking about his last three games. When teams got smart that he was the guy to stop they changed schemes, plays, doubled team etc to try and stop him. When you do that you open up others. So to people saying he was all hype think about. A Team having to change their whole offense to stop one person and dares someone else to step up is saying ALOT....

I disagree that the motor concern won’t be an issue at the next level, I’ve been telling folks I think Chase young will be average at the next level just because he isn’t as always into the play every down and he doesn’t chase anyone down, the fact that he doesn’t read well at the line will kill him against more athletic, stronger and experienced lineman. I like Chase Young and fell in love with his play 2 years earlier then the media because I saw the potential early but over time he looks no better then Vernon Gholston on the college level. I also disagree with the Julius Peppers comparison, he’s no where close to the athletic ability nor motor Peppers possessed.
