    This week’s film breakdown analyzes The San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Nick Bosa and the Los Angeles Chargers defensive lineman Joey Bosa. The two brothers are two of the best pass rushers in the NFL, but what’s REALLY fascinating about them is the system of moves they use to get to the QB. Both brothers attended Ohio State where Coach Larry Johnson taught them this system, and ever since they’ve been wreaking havoc. This episode uses the all-22 coaches film to analyze Nick and Joey Bosa.

    Thanks for great breakdowns of the Bosa brothers, Alex. Agree Joey is a bit quicker and Nick is a bit stronger. Both are highly talented and extremely hard workers and students of the game.
    Joey definitely plays like the more experienced player that he is, but Nick will continue to improve.
    Nick got a lot leaner and stronger this year, so he's kind of a different athlete this year, perhaps more like Joey in that regard.

    Add the Rip, Swim, and Spin, which can be done with identical set up, just like these moves, and they could potentially be in that ALL TIME GREATEST conversation. I don't know if they're strong enough for a Reggie White "Hump" move. They're fast enough for an outside Chop, which is just like they're outside scissors, but instead of hitting the hands inside you are slamming downward onto the offensive lineman's wrists.

    As a Chargers fan I am cautiously optimistic about how Joey will play in Staley's new system!

    • @AlexRollinsNFL
      @AlexRollinsNFL  2 года назад +1

      It'll be a very interesting fit. I'm a little bit worried about Bosa playing the 4i tech, but I think Staley is smarter than that. Maybe he'll put Bosa as more of the OLB type

    • @grantwagner792
      @grantwagner792 2 года назад +1

      @@AlexRollinsNFL From what i have gathered he has played a lot of the “OLB” role this off-season/pre-season. Joey has also been very vocal about being excited to play in the new system, but change is still hard. I’m thinking it’s a boom or bust season for Joey.

      @@grantwagner792 Oh, very interesting. He'll still be a monster if they kick him inside, but not nearly as effective statistically

    I heard Joey would like to come to San Francisco to play with Nick. Not sure how likely it is. But the 49ers pass rush would be unstoppable.

    • @user-yj3kn4fe7h
      @user-yj3kn4fe7h 2 года назад

      @@jasonwright9076 Joey is already in LA. But ai know you meant to the Rams. 49ers would still have the advantage pass rush wise. Nick has a lot of help. But Joey and Aaron are really the only top tier pass rushers the Rams would have. The rest of the Rams' major defensive talent is in the secondary

      @@user-yj3kn4fe7h he was talking about nick going to the chargers because joey signed a 5 year extension with them so in order for them to play together nick would have to sign with them

    • @user-yj3kn4fe7h
      @user-yj3kn4fe7h 2 года назад

      @@tvph No, it was Joey saying he wanted to go to San Francisco to play with Nick because his contract was going to be up. Nick still had years left on HIS and will very likely get an extension. Granted it didn't work out that way. See that? I stated my case and I didn't need to throw an insult around to do it.

    I was lucky enough to watch every play they had at OSU. Nick was better than Joey IMHO but it was incredibly close. Also, Chase was better than both of them IMHO in College. Nice Video.
