The Fox and the Hound 2 is INCREDIBLY Cliché... (but still kind of good?)

- The Fox and the Hound 2 is one of many direct to DVD Disney sequels; you know the ones! They aren’t good enough to be released in theaters and are instead only on DVD, often ending up in the bargain bin. Or Disney+ if you have it.
And this movie is not really a break in that pattern either. It is abundant with story clichés, overly childish humor, and a lighter tone which seems really out of place in the universe of The Fox and the Hound. But I mean… I still kind of like it!

In my opinion it’s a lot better than Ariel’s Beginning!
Nope. Imo Ariel’s Beginning was so adorable. Yeah a lot of parts contradicted the original and the tv show continuity, but I at least liked the idea of the main plot they were aiming for, specifically why Triton hates humans so much and explains why he’s so overprotective and strict around Ariel in the original movie (he literally is NEVER this way around her sisters in the original or either sequel, proving Ariel is secretly his favorite daughter)
