Appreciate your race experience and commentary. While I will likley never get the opportunity to practice the race start, the race motivation and techniques do transcend to help me tackle my local spot, solo.

very interesting to watch. Crazy how "mere mortal" kind of your and the othes racing and specifically the jibes look. The PROS obviously are in a different leageu.

Nils - thanks for another great video. I should probably not comment on your right of way at that jibe mark because I only have experience with sailboats and not windsurf racing. But I do think the other guy had the right of way because he was even with you within several "boat" lengths of the mark. Just my thoughts. Of course, I was rooting for you so cursed at him for his pass at the mark.

great footage and commentary, you are getting better every video. Glad you end up beating your rival Gasper, you both had epic battles thru out the 3 videos. I wish you had put who was the top 3 in the event too.

With respect to right of way at 8:00, could the other guy even see you? The prespective is distorted via your cam, but it looks like you're overtaking fro luv, so are in his back? Anyway, glad you didn't crash and even gladder you overtook him in the end 😁

Thanks, with the 360 Cam it is not easy to see who is in Front or behind you. 🤔

Hi Nils, off topic question. You have the Coros Vetix2(?) watch and film with insta 360. Do you use the gps of the coros to record the speeds in the insta 360? If so, could you briefly explain how you manage to get this working? Thanks for all the nice content you provide, much appreciated🤙🙌

In that jibe I would suggest you come down onto the mark more aggressively. If you clearly position in front then they have to avoid you. If you end up with someone diving inside just jibe wide and keep speed. Most people jiving inside will lose speed and drop of plane.

He's right, PWA has No Rules, IFCA uses ISAF rules where you should allow inner boats at jibe marks if there's a possibility for a crash....

Is ifca no rules slalom? Then you could have closed the door on him. But if you both crash you loose out.. it would have been better to sail down infront of him earlier if you were clearly ahead.
Then you would have forced him to gybe wide..
