Thank you, Saskia. As a beginner who hasn't yet started, I'm soaking up some great ideas. You've inspired some great techniques and work...love it! 💕💜💕
Me too !!! I accidentally came across this type of painting about 6 months ago , and LOVE it....I dream about colours and how to mix and pour....really got my creative juices flowing.....enjoy !!
***very nice*** I'm doing one for myself too! I work a lot with that size canvas, it's my favorite size! I'm working on a turquoise, black and gold for my entry way! This painting turned out so pretty! I enjoy the process and I really like that baby blue, nice color choice!
Very pretty. Lots of beautiful cells. I couldn't help but see what ran off. I'd lay card stock peices or rage or dominos in there and make more pretties
Love watching you work your craft! It’s especially nice because I understand when you speak in Dutch,, so that’s sort of a bonus for me! Love the cells you got today and I always love it when you use a lot of colors. I used to swipe with pieces of plastic but have found that spraying a paper towel along one edge and then running that down the canvas is a lot more effective as you don’t have so many missed or skipped spots.. Thanks for passing on your knowledge, the hardest thing to learn has been adjusting the consistency of the paints....watching you add a heck of a lot of water in relation to paint finally helped me learn how thin the paint must be! 💛❤️
i am curious about how the swipe would have turned out if you went across the rows of colors to blend then into each other a bit.. love the colors and the cells
For swiping I'd use a damp paper towel or a piece of clear plastic off of a presentation folder (for like projects or resumes). And make sure all the paint at the end is touching whatever you are using to swipe and then go slowly.
Thank you. This is beautiful. Thankyou for sharing. I am new to pouring and you are a great teacher. You mentioned adding an acrylic thinner. What is an acrylic thinner?
Gorgeous results! I'm not a fan of the color pink but it definitely works well in this piece(s). You're so lucky to be able to do this kind of art. BTW, I think the problem you're having with swiping is that you're using a very flimsy paper to swipe with, plus canvases tend to have dips in them which means you're probably not getting full contact. Try putting something hard in the empty space at the back. A piece of wood or maybe cut some cardboard to size, stack and glue it so it fits, making sure to glue some string or ribbon on one or two of the ends to make it easier to pull out later. That should remove any dips in the canvas while you're working on it. As for what you're using to swipe... a wet paper towel would probably be better to swipe with. Perhaps a thin plastic card or cardboard cereal box (with the shiny coating) would work well too. One of those thin plastic or silicone placemats might work perfectly, now that I think about it. You should try experiments on small canvases with different things to swipe with to find what you like best. Anyway, I'll stop babbling at you now. Thanks for sharing!
Music is loud at Dunkin's so I didn't hear yours. But the swipe is amazing !! Can you share the dimensions of your canvases. Thank you lovely to watch.
Awesome! I read through a lot of the comments to see if anyone asked "what kind of torch do you use?"... But I didn't see anyone ask. ... What kind of torch do you use? Lol
One of my favorites! I find your voice and volume are soothing, no trouble hearing. I agree with others about music detracting from the video. Beautiful result!
love THIS direct application and spreading...I need a list of what to buy. Flowtrol you mix with acrylics to thin them out? And what are the drops? Some say spray cups with silicone to make the paints not waste in the cups? What torch should I buy? I think I am ready...just need some ratios and alittle hand holding for first time:))) One more thing...can you.do you SAVE the swiped off paints?
The cardboard was too stiff to swipe over all the colours as it needs some ‘give’. If it had been dampened it would have flowed across better. It would have been perfect to use the already swiped piece on the second canvas. I find paper towel that’s been sprayed with water and dipped in paint flows across beautifully. I agree, the colours were gorgeous - I also loved the silver and white.
Gorgeous color scheme I'm starting to really prefer the black backgrounds for these pours that said you mentioned you're not a fan of swiping I have an idea you might want to try using the plastic scraper tools or even like a plastic gift card credit card excetera the outcome is gorgeous you can see this technique at Sandra Lett site I'd like to see somebody else do it besides her to see what the outcome would bring the reason why she makes it look so easy and I want to see somebody else do it before I try it LOL thanks so much for sharing really gorgeous colors I love all the cells
Saskia Smit thank you I'll be looking forward to it just keep in mind you can't use like a rubber spatula that's way too thick the card or the plastic scrapers are very thin she also uses plastic squeeze bottles to make the lines this way you don't waste a lot of paint at all check one of them out you'll see what I'm talking about thank you so much I really look forward to it!! Have a great day and again I just LOVE the outcome of your swipe
ssue oh sorry about that I didn t mean it badly. I for myself watched yt for months before starting to pour. Just wanted to give an advice because practicing is the most important thing to learn ( anything).
Saskia, thanks a lot for sharing your work, I really love pouring. Could you please tell me the name of the produt por those nice cells and if you have the name in spanish, I will appreciatte ir. Thanks .
Saska this painting turned out great, love all the colours. I wanted to give you some feedback on the audio of your video. The music is much too loud while your voice is much softer. This meant having to adjust the loudness whenever it switched from your voice to the music and vice versa...a bit of a pain. Otherwise your videos are great, I always look forward to seeing a new one from you!
Kathy Escott I agree about the music. I think we artistic types are a quieter lot and the music is grating, I know I can turn it down or off but then I risk missing her voice....which I prefer over the music!!
How about having an extra canvas ready and after you do your swipe. Take you're tool and swipe it across the extra canvas see what it looks like and see if you can turn it into your own
Thank you, Saskia. As a beginner who hasn't yet started, I'm soaking up some great ideas. You've inspired some great techniques and work...love it! 💕💜💕
Thank you❤️
I just started this type of art, and I love it. During all my life I loved colors, and I think, now I found my calling.
Thank you, wish you lots of fun with this medium

Oh l absolutely love this! Stunning colors with lots of cells!
Thank you ❤️
I love that purple and the colors you used to mix it brilliant. It's the perfect purple in my eyes. Love the color scheme too.
Thank you ❤️
The cells make all the difference in how this looks. Great work.
Thank you ❤️
Thank you for your tutorials, I love your way of fluid painting and how you explain everything so well 🙏. Thank you my dear 🙏
Thank you ❤️
***very nice*** I'm doing one for myself too! I work a lot with that size canvas, it's my favorite size! I'm working on a turquoise, black and gold for my entry way! This painting turned out so pretty! I enjoy the process and I really like that baby blue, nice color choice!
Thanks Jo
Fantastic color combinations and method is really simple but incredibly so beautiful the outcome...wtg!!!
Thank you ❤️
I absolutely LOVE the way the cells popped out! Beautiful colors!
Thank you ❤️
Very pretty. Lots of beautiful cells.
I couldn't help but see what ran off. I'd lay card stock peices or rage or dominos in there and make more pretties
Thank you ❤️

Thank you ❣️🌹
Thank you so much. I will try that. Last night I made a beautiful pour, but used too much paint. I still have to learn a lot!
The point is having fun while learning, don't give up❤️
Show me your result on facebook, I can't wait to see xxx
Never watched your channel before but I will now. That is a beautiful pour - colors, design, cells& lacing. Wow. I did have to turn of the music tho
Thank you❤️
I'm sorry about the loud music, I did not know how to make it lower, but my son taught me now, so in the future it will be better :)
👍💕
Such a beautiful set in such little time. I imagine you prep time took longer than the pour and swipe.
Thank you ❤️
That looks so beautiful. The combination of colors is great. Love it...😍
Thank you ❤️
Very impressive cells! Beautiful colors!
i am curious about how the swipe would have turned out if you went across the rows of colors to blend then into each other a bit.. love the colors and the cells
Thank you ❤️
but the piece of art is a a piece of wonder...congratulations... music is superfluous, specially rock music
Thank you❤️
Love it. Beautiful colors and cells. Thank you!

I really LIKE this SWIPE, the others not so much! Can't wait to try your technique, which doesn't swipe as much paint off. T/You...
Thank you❤️
Great idea...love all the colors...
Thank you ❤️
For swiping i like a damp paper towel works great!!
Thank you❤️
Thanks, great new tip.

Thank you! I was already so upset, I thought it was ruined anyway :)
@@SaskiaSmitArt don't be upset! It still looks great!
I'm in love ! I'd love to see photos of them on a wall. Those colours make me so happy! New subscriber here
Thank you❤️ The paintings already found a new home :)
Doreen Watson-read you can mute the music, I enjoy it
Thank you. This is beautiful. Thankyou for sharing. I am new to pouring and you are a great teacher. You mentioned adding an acrylic thinner. What is an acrylic thinner?
It’s Acrylic paint thinner, here is one on Amazon: www.amazon.com/Acrylic-Thinner-Mediums-Without-Qualities/dp/B08D3VSXWY
Thank you for watching ❤️
Beautiful love it love the colors
Thank you !❤️
I like to use the floor sample boards from hardware stores to do my swiping......
Nice variation of sizes!
Thank you❤️
Those are good for all kinds of crafts, and color samples

Stunning! I like the idea of using cardboard to swipe.
Thank you❤️
Saskia, could I put colors and Floetrol ahead of time in squeeze bottles? Or would they dry out? Thanks for answering!
Brigitte Buxton yes you can, it will stay good if you close the bottle properly:)
I may have to make this.My favourite colors. 💖
Hi...what did u add in paint to make it smooth...plz do reply. .thnks
One of my favorites! I find your voice and volume are soothing, no trouble hearing. I agree with others about music detracting from the video. Beautiful result!
Thank you ❤️
What did you add to the acrylics paint? You dropped 3 times to your acrylic.. What is it? Thanks
That was Dimethicone oil or silicone oil.
I like your colors.
Thank you❤️
Have you added any thinners or silicone to the silver and white paint that you use to swipe with?
No :)
Love it. I get my best results from wet paper towel.
Thank you❤️
Beautiful love the cells
Thank you❤️
Beautiful!! Love it!
Thank you ❤️
Gorgeous!
Thank you for sharing 😊
You're welcome
Incredible!!!!
I absolutely love this
Thank you ❤️
Gorgeous love love it..thank you for sharing..
by the way I absolutely loved the music..pls tell me the name of the band.....
Judith-Ann Mauro Thank you❤️
The music is a jingle in Imovie where I edit my videos, no bandname.
Gorgeous cells!
Thank you❤️
What the box you use to put ur painting on while working like on the video did u make it or is it something you can buy?
It is a wooden box we made ourselves.
Stunning. I can't seem to get the swipe thing down yet
Thank you❤️ I find swiping difficult too....
love THIS direct application and spreading...I need a list of what to buy. Flowtrol you mix with acrylics to thin them out?
And what are the drops? Some say spray cups with silicone to make the paints not waste in the cups?
What torch should I buy?
I think I am ready...just need some ratios and alittle hand holding for first time:)))
One more thing...can you.do you SAVE the swiped off paints?
Please watch my video #37 for info on what you need or please go to my website.
You can save the paints in a bottle or dip something in it😊
Beautiful as can be!
Thank you ❤️
Great work, u make it look so easy😍
Thank you❤️
Amazingly beautiful!
Amazing work! I have been wanting to try this technique
Thank you Joe ❤️
Can I do this same thing on MDF with epoxy and paint rather than canvas and flowtrol?
yes :)
Are your white and silver just mixed to thin the paint-no dimethocone?
Yes :)
Hi Saskia. Beautiful! Really amazing.
Thank you Ruth❤️
I love that!
The cardboard was too stiff to swipe over all the colours as it needs some ‘give’. If it had been dampened it would have flowed across better. Haha, I will see what plastics I can find.
Thank you Sue❤️

ssue if you don t practice you ll never learn !
Nicola Mertens I know I got to get busy thank you no need to reply I'm sure you're very very busy
ssue oh sorry about that I didn t mean it badly. I for myself watched yt for months before starting to pour. Just wanted to give an advice because practicing is the most important thing to learn ( anything).
Do you use floetrol even in oll the colors, or only in black and olso use pouring medium? Thanks.
Please see my video #37 for my paint mix. Thank you❤️
That’s gorgeous. Have to try this ❤️❤️💕❤️❤️😇
Thank you ❤️Have fun!
Really beautiful!
Thank you❤️
Very beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! Wish you a happy New Year 🎆❤️
Absolutely awesome
Thank you❤️
Saskia, thanks a lot for sharing your work, I really love pouring. Could you please tell me the name of the produt por those nice cells and if you have the name in spanish, I will appreciatte ir. Thanks .
Hello, it is dimethicone or silicone.
Thank you❤️
Just wondering, what were the drops you put in? A kind of silicone?
Yes, silicone oil.
painting is awesome. you speak very softly and the music is extremely loud.
Thank you, I'm looking in how to fix that❤️
I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you❤️
So pretty!
Thank you❤️
I realize, that without the torch there won't be cells, am I right? What kind of torch is recommended?
They are all good, one from a dollar store will be fine :)
Thank you Diane❤️ Back than I did not know how to fix the sound.
Nowadays in my later videos it should be fine.
When swiping I have trouble with the amount of pressure to use. any ideas will be helpful. Thank You
Very little presure.
Love it!
Thank you❤️
I would prefer it without any music, very distracting I find. I normally enjoy the relaxing feel of watching a paint pour.
Thank you for letting me know ❤️
Kathy Escott I agree about the music. I think we artistic types are a quieter lot and the music is grating, I know I can turn it down or off but then I risk missing her voice....which I prefer over the music!!
The music is fine
Beautiful!
Thank you❤️
I prefer a damp paper towel. For me, I get even more depth of color and cells.
Thank you :)
Great talent!
Thank you❤️
Beautiful! Did we see it dry at the end or was it still wet?
Thank you❤️
It was still wet at the end, it dried beautiful, thank you.
Very pretty, Saskia!💓
Thank you Brenda
I love to see it again
This is already to a new home:)
Beautiful
Thank you!❤️
This my sound crazy but can you control how many cells??
With silicone it is impossible to control the cells.
You can ofcourse try to do not all colors with silicone and not torch.
Torching increases cells
Would you please tell us what’s the brand for acrylic thinner u are recommending? How much would be the proportion? Thx
Please watch my video #37 about mixing paint X
Would be interested if you used black as the swipe colour
Thank you for watching
Love it! Thank you!
Thank you❤️
Pretty painting :) love the music - who's playing?
Thank you ❤️ I don’t know, some music that comes with the editting app.
How about having an extra canvas ready and after you do your swipe. Take you're tool and swipe it across the extra canvas see what it looks like and see if you can turn it into your own
please what is the droop that you put in.... ando where can I buy? transporte fabby
That is dimethicone, you can buy it online :)
saskia samit i am a big fan of you😍
Love it
Thank you ❤️
Very nice😊😊
Thank you ❤️
Loved it
Thank you ❤️
Saskia... Did you varnish or resin this one?
Yes it was varnished before it sold.
