    Hi all,
Please participate in the #acrylicpouringbucketchallenge it's just for fun but it would be really cool if you would join.
I was thinking for weeks to do this but I was a little bit scared to do so, lol. But is was not hard at all, it was so much fun and it turned out so gorgeous, I'm really mesmerised by the result. 60 x80 cm canvas.
So, please try it too, maybe you can even use a bigger canvas and a bigger bucket? I can't wait to see your results.
I really wish I had a studio right now, I want to pour a 10liter bucket now, hahahahaha

I have been studying a lot of different artist doing different pours with different styles I believe you are my favorite. I cheered when you got the bucket flipped just right. You could have left it just like was it was beautiful. Then you began to tilt and I thought okay that’s good right there, don’t have to do anymore its beautiful. You kept going and I kept saying stop that’s enough and then no keep going. It is a beautiful piece of art. I haven’t done a pour yet. Now I’m afraid I won’t go far enough lol

    Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Hell Yeah !! ,
Having that ''wide bottom'' flip cup gives you the ability to get way more creative when stacking your color combos, I like to divide the bottom of the cup into 4 or 5 sections and add my colors in well thought out schemes...and shit, sometimes just wingin' it works out even better....

I'm so doing this! My sister-in-law asked for a big piece for her fancy bathroom and I've been putting it off . . . she wants deep red, cream, and gold (and I'd add a little black for contrast) and I want to add some pops of gold leaf too . . I really need to get to it! Glad to have the challenge to motivate me! ;)

For who are afraid to flip the bucket on the canvas, i cover firmly the bucket with a big piece of a strong box, like shoe box, and turn both on the canvas. Take the bucket with one ferm hand and pull (tirez) towards you the box shoe cover.... And continue as usual.

It's beautiful. I haven't tried flips with silicone, etc. So far I've just used school glue and water; so no cells. I do however; have a large canvas I've been eyeing to try something crazy like this. Perhaps I'll give it a try.😕😊

Ella Cinder Im not sure if this will help as I have been using luring medium but, before I pour my paints I to the flip cup I mix them very fast and when I put my water in I use a spray bottle. The high power end on the spray bottle creates hair bubbles and before this process I've had no luck with cells but now I seem to have them.

OK I have to answer what you said at the end of the video. You said, I don't know why I was so scared to do this. Well, the reason is - it was a huge undertaking. Flipping that bucket I gave you a 1 in 10 chance of NOT dropping it! I thought an analogous color scheme would be too simple for such a large piece. I thought you had too much white, though you did add more color after your cups were empty and then it felt more balanced. I was safe and just was scared for you!
Boy was I wrong! I loved everything you did and I mean everything. I found myself getting choked up and eyes leaking (must have been allergies) and I had NO idea why. It helped when you admitted to feeling the same. That saved me. Up to then I was asking myself why I was getting emotional when it was not something I created! And that piece deserves to be hung in your own home - to remind you never to be scared again. It was too wonderful. You should be scared NOT to continue to paint. You are awesome.

I don’t know the first thing about doing a video. I’m researching it though. Hopefully one day. However, Gina DeLuca does pours with a lot of paint and she catches her drips. So does Annemarie Ridderhof. It’s just a matter of not allowing the drips to fall right in the middle of a Painting. This is still a brilliant piece.

Could you buy Acrylic house paint tinted to the primary colours in 15 litre tubs? So much cheaper way to go if these paints are ok to use that is.What are your thoughts on this please?

    • @elfiewilkins6639
      @elfiewilkins6639 6 лет назад +9

      Golden Reward
If your store sell paint in large size cans [1/2 gallon maybe] then you should be able to buy the primary colors in that size. What I have been doing is to make 3 colors swashes, one for each primary colors and bring those to the paint store. The machine that they use to mix the colors will photograph the swatches and mix the appropriate colors.
A world of advise. Since not everyone used the same "primary" RED. Some use a Cad red light, other a Magenta, you may first experiment which one works best for you. Here we have sample- they are small cans of paint. Also the primary Blue varies. Some use Cyan other Cerulean. Good luck

I really really like this and the colours in this. You could stare at it for hours. Of all the pours I’ve seen this is the best colour combinations and the result is spectacular ly beautiful

I loved it even more before you tilted it. It looked like the earth as seen from space. I guess with all that paint you had no choice but to move it. Really enjoyed watching, thank you. Cheers Marie ‘downunder ‘

Beautiful piece - If you had used all light colors it would have lacked contrast and would not have had as much dimension - I love the way you do not torch the whole piece and leave some large cells that provide a quiet spot for the eye to rest - Every good design needs a place to rest - I watched a video where an artist evenly cut the bottoms off large plastic containers and placed them on a very large canvas - She then filled them with paint allowing the first paint to create a vacuum - When she lifted them the paint flowed out - The effect was different because the containers were not inverted which mixed the paint, but she did huge paintings - It may be worth a try - Thank you for not playing music while you were filming - It made it much easier to hear your comments
